One of my friend participated in an ICO, he got the tokens from them. While transferring the tokens he mistakenly sent the tokens back to smart contract address instead of sending it to exchange address, is there a way to get his token back. But for this recover some transaction fees will charge for the investor.

Once the cryptos sent to the wrong address, they can never be gained again. We should be very careful while these transaction procedures.
