Hello there,

I am new at this topics, many of my  friends said that ripple is the worst cryptocurrency,
 because don't represent the spirit of a cryptocurrency has to be.

May be someone can bring me more reasonable argument about why i wouldn't invest on ripple or in other hand, invest on it.

please, all the help will be appreciate because i want really learn all about crypto.

Ripple is a banking support platform but Bitcoin is decentralised cryptocurrency so it is completely against in Bitcoin this is the main reason to avoid in Ripple.
But this is good growing project and many investors are buying this coin because this also supporting in long term investment.

Actually the investment market is the gathering of different types of investors. Each investor has his own way of understanding and motive. Each investor has unique strategy to invest in the market. Crypto currency is not different from that. So here who will invest on what is the investor’s personal choice. Like, I will invest in bitcoin as I am satisfied with its performance.

If you want to make a profit short term and long term then go for Ripple, if you adhere to cryptocurrency principles, and a big fan of decentralization and peer to peer transactions then ignore Ripple, I don't have Ripple because I am for decentralization.

this is your answer in a snapshot, if money is the driving force for your investment, ripple is a decent coin and very stable - unlikely to be going anywhere anytime soon. i personally don't hold any atm, but will look to perhaps buy if i feel the price is right. hope this helps

Everyone has different views on cryptocurrencies. You can't force everybody to have the same opinion. I don't invest in ripple because I think there are other better coins worth investing.

This is so true. Some likes ripple and some don't, we have different perspectives into this so better to respect it. Both sides have a point, ripple is currently third on the market ~ it means that this is a great coin for long term investment; on the other hand, it's very ironic that it has a platform that supports banking when in the first place it was a cryptocurrency. I think choosing between No to ripple or Yes to ripple just only depends on your preference.

But if I were given a chance to choose between the two  then I still go with ripple because I think that I might lose an opportunity of earning profits if I won't.

Because Ripple is mostly centralized.  The Ripple blockchain is controlled by Ripple. No matter where XRP resides, it can be moved by Ripple. Meaning they have control of XRP wallets. They can lock YOU out if they choose to. And that’s not decentralization. In a nutshell, Ripple is not helping the people. They are helping banks.

Ripple was not bringing the essence of cryptocurrency since this coin was designed for bank payments which is a centralized monitored fund by government, but because of several country was legalizing crypto, I think this will align to the concept of this coin, and maybe this will become famous someday .

In terms of technology, ripple is one of the technologies being used so much in life. Especially the banking system is starting to use this technology because of its high liquidity and very fast processing speed but in Cryptocurrency I will not choose this coin to invest because the potential of the ripple is still not available. And I have not seen the community strength of XRP coins

Ripple is technically centralized which is against the tenets of decentralization in this space. It is currently artificial and its value is driven by Ripple Lab news, so that begs the question, what is the real value of xrp? To avooid being emotionally attached to any coin, some people just trade it for the money not for the fundamentals

I am researching about it, and ripple has already good use cases. Santander bank is already using it for 50% of its international transactions, that's huge.

Before investing money we think about and utilizes market becsue of its price and on the basis of this if the coin have bad impression in the market then it will be affect to the investors because they know there is some problem and their value able money might be in thread so I would not invest here.

I was a victim of ripple, i bought it at 4$ and the price right now is so scary.
Ripple is centralized cryptocurrency so the price is a bit hard to pump even it has a good future as we can see.

Ripple is centralised coin, investing into this coin with small budget won't get you huge amount of money. Personally, Im trying to avoid this coin,although investors are believing in it and its still growing. There are more good coins on market.

To be honest, ripple is a promising project. They have a lot of contracts with world banks. But I have not personally invested in their currency. If they want, they can bring down the price at any time. That's what happens to banks. Declare bankruptcy and all savings are lost.

I think there are other altcoin to invest. It is up to each person to see what they accept for investment. I think ripple is good and worth investing.

In my opinion Ripple is risky coin to invest in cryptocurrency market, it’s owning 70% and only 30% is funded by the crypto investors. Anytime company can manipulate.

Trust me mate this is not the number one issue and problem that we can have with ripple. A side from them owing a lot of coins the main issue in my mind comes as a result of their blockchain not being decentralized because their blockchain is centralized. Which reflects that we must trust the central authority on their blockchain. Why go for something like this? When you have bitcoin and many others out there where anybody can take part in mining or any other small game they have in order to validate the transactions. I don't know either why people seem to trust ripple much but we see that they do by it's price.

Maybe it is risky because of the large supply, ripple had the largest supply in the market, but I think ripple is too strong altcoin, many people believe in it and recently I heard some good news from the founder of xrp, which it said that ripple will be supported by a lot of companies in the near future, so maybe it will increase but I don't think it will reach more than 10$ at the end of this year.

Just because of the simple fact that I don't like it :-\ . I started my first investment with Ripple and ended up in a loss. Though it was not such a big loss, it was my first trading experience. I know somewhere the fault was mine because I sold it in a loss which I shouldn't had. Apart form that , XRP crossed $1 just once when the price of BTC went to moon of 19x times. After the rally was over , the prices slashed down and XRP came below $1 again. Since then it never crossed $1 again. The scope to get a good return from XRP is too less in my opinion.

First think of what makes the blockchain technology relevant? Its the decentralization that makes it useful, without it one can just use SQL databases. And Ripple doesn't adheres to that decentralization rule and is controlled centrally. Most of its supply is also locked up and the coin is overpriced due to it.

People hesitate with that opinion.Ripple is not too much strong or trustable coin.Some people like ripple and invest but generally ripple need more time .

Ripple has an excellent technology, but I do not understand why banks should buy the coin, it seems to me insane, the bank must go to the exchange, buy Ripple in order to transfer it to another bank, its price is changing every minute.

Ripple is the Cryptocoin which is supporting the banking system and this is the reason ripple which is against the concept of cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and this is the major reason some people fear to invest in Ripple. Who says people dont invest into the ripple? People does make that move but the case is that they dont do it for the long terms. People always put Tehri money into the ripple for short term and whenever they get the profits then they tend to sell it immediately. As it is volatile currency and being centralised one it doesn't guarantee you very big hikes unless and until they decide to do so. Due to heavy emission of the XRP it is always impossible to achieve high rates and thus no chance of profiting. Better to use it for quick profit and let go.

I would not invest in ripple for the reason that its centralized. Crypto was introduced to the world by satoshi to take power from the hands of all these centralized organization(banks), and here we have ripply to exactly the opposite. Its disrespectful to satoshi if we buy and use ripple.

It is because Ripple is backed by bankers so it means that it is a centralized form of cryptocurrency which investor won't like or maybe same with my problem where in it is not supported by the wallets I used to store my tokens and coins. Much better to have some decentralized cryptocurrency rather than having an asset that can be controlled by the government or banks because of possible security and privacy issues.

Ripple has good prospect. People are investing on it. It kinda different from other digital currencies, but none can say so allegedly that ripple is the worst currency.

I want to note that those who believed in Ripple, received a huge profit in 2017. I also traded Ripple and it was a positive experience. Perhaps for a long time there is no point in keeping Ripple, but for short positions this crypto currency is great.

I think the reason for people not to invest in ripple is not a stable currency but anything will happen in future so we can't judge it very quickly this is my opinion.

I won't invest in it because it's over priced,  and huge amount of supply is still with someone....  By the way ripple ain't a cryptocurrency, although some still see a good long term with it, but top me it ain't worth buying

Lets simplify  this the ripple is for long term investment or centralized while the bitcoin is decentralized so if you are in a hurry for profit bitcoin is the answer that's why other people doesn't like to invest in ripple because you will wait more time to get profit.

I like Ripple and have no doubt that this coin has bright future, but i think it will be very hard to get decent profit if you invest in it. I think it's better to find something not so popular or invest in ICOs.

You should not invest in ripple for a long time. It is better to choose another coin. Ripple is not a decentralized system. It is better to completely get to know the project.

We have different opinion about why did not invest to this coin or why did we invest to this coin. But I think why other people don't want to invest to ripple because base of their own researching about this is not good to buy but in my case ripple is one of the better altcoin to invest compared to others.

Don't be like the other altcoin because of the centralized system has ripple if compared to other large altcoins. It is indeed not a huge mistake but it will be quite a long future for ripple. with the difficulty of accepting the existing development then the ripple will not be as powerful as altcoin other long-term problems. so better choose another altcoin could have a long term guarantee than the ripple.

I think it is risky project. Because price manipulating are occurs with this project. This is not a character of good coin. Thats why i chose bitcoin for investment. Because bitcoin is less risky than other coins.

I think I have invested, and should invest from now

Being a Crypto coin of the banking world,this is not applicable to be in crypto since this is centralized.i dont know why people would invest in this when theres so many good coin that will sure protect the interest of crypto community.

Its betted to buy Neo (whose one of the worst coin either)than to purchase ripple and same as monero.

I think the ripple is coins that have a future. And it also has great potential for investment. I think there is no harm in trying their luck by investing in coins ripple. Ripple also has price movement fast enough. So it is very suitable for daily and long term trading.

I put my money into ripple last year when the price is about 2k satoshi but i already sold it when it pumped to 27k satoshi, after that i never touch ripple anymore because i don't like the fact that ripple is a centralized coin and their marketcap is so big and the dev still has coins that can be dumped onto the market.

If there are more likely to develop from ripple why not pick that could produce greater. Ripple has indeed become one of the produce, but certainly many other altcoins rise and better than a ripple. as does the ethereum certainly better than a ripple if used for investment.

Many people, myself included, do not consider it a legitimate cryptocurrency because its centralised nature leaves it open to manipulation by those that control it. I have also decided to not invest because most of its value is based on a belief in its future adoption by banks. This argument ignores the basic facts that banks are more likely to adopt a platform they collectivelly own, like SWIFT, and even the banks that are working with ripple on blockchain solutions are using a version of the ripple blockchain, but not the XRP coins.

although ripple is one big altcoin but there is a reason i dont choose ripple is because ripple is a coin with slow movement so only suitable for long term, whereas i do not like long term.

I was going to invest in ripple on my friend's recommendation and see how its potential in the market for the next few years but many commented negatively about this and I do not know what the reason might be discussed in this forum by others so I keep focusing on bitcoin.

I invested here man. But the real talk is, I am in losing by investing in ripple. I don't like this coin anymore. I had a reasonable expectation from ripple when it ran bully. The price was 0.28 USD then it went to 3.84 USD. Such a massive growth it had. But then it's price fall down too much. I invested in XRP. Investing friends is simple. Many people think he is a crypto currency that has not been decentralized. It may not be very independent.

Ripple is very unfair in Cryptocurrency, I used to have experience in my country before Bitcoin is accepted as a commodity.

first Bank Central in my country blocked Bitcoin, then came Ripple to Bank Central and said that he is different from Bitcoin and ready to cooperate with Bank Central in my country.

I think one of the reasons why people do not really show interest in ripple is because it is supported by the bank which is not a form of crypto as cryptocurrency is decentralized and the rate at which ripple price rise is very slow that even coin that came into existence after it has higher prices but ripple is a good and stable coin to hold because it has good features.

Well the thing that makes cryptocurrency great is its decentralized nature. But Ripple doesn't follows that rule and is centralized. Most of its supply is locked away and is controlled by the team developing it. Also most of the decision for Ripple is taken by its team and the community isn't much involved in the decision making.

I won't invest in ripple because it has a huge supply and marketcap already so it's gonna be hard to go up in value, the dev also has a huge amount of ripple, i know they can't sell it right away but it's worrying that the ripple is unlocked every x month, also the fact that they are the most centralized in crypto is the opposite of what people want in decentralization.

Profitability is what they're after and thinking that ripple doesn't go against banks tend to give some sort of security with crypto investments. That's not entirely  true,  ripple has some shortcomings as do all other cryptos, the main one being that there are some level of centralization but despite that, it occupy 4th position comfortably on coin market cap. That position tells a better story of its strength

Anything is still possible with ripple, it can attract in a simple deal multi-billion dollar funds from institutions or through partnership. Ripple is among the few could s that can do that. I understand your point too that price movement in ripple is slow because of the large number

Have you analyzed by yourself about Ripple? DO you know what's for this coin created? Well, Ripple is something different from the other cryptocurrency so far. This relates to the banking system. Probably, you may meet the very small rising of this coin. But, it is stable. You can get your own analysis before deciding that this is worthy or not to invest.

The point is we really have to be able to deduce from all sources that we know, not just from a few people. But I think it's still worth it, just no need to put a lot of amount on this coin because there is still a more worthy coin than this coin, which looks better till the future.

I would definitely invest in ripple like I already have. Ripple is promising and holds a great potential. It is, however, a currency to hold on for a long-term investment.  A lot of investors has invested in this coin because of the promising project it has developed. Your friend might not be outrightly right, for him to have said ripple is the worst cryptocurrency, but he is right to have said that it does not follow the rule of decentralization, which is what crypto is built on. When it comes to cryptocurrency, i believe in anonymity. I believe in decentralization. Ripple is not in this line. I think it is risky project. Because price manipulating are occurs with this project. This is not a character of good coin. Thats why i chose bitcoin for investment. Because bitcoin is less risky than other coins.

Ripple is one of the coins that took the hardest hit when the prices of the coins started falling and it looked like the team behind the project were not doing anything to try and salvage the situation, it was an all round sad situation and I felt sorry for the people who invested in the coin

investing in them can be good and bad at the same time. you should only master the market to know when to go in and when to get the hell out of them. so for example at some point when XRP was getting pumped it was the best investment but when its pump ended and the dumping began it became the worst one and you should have stayed away from it until the dumping is over which is not yet done.

Because Ripple is mostly centralized.  The Ripple blockchain is controlled by Ripple. No matter where XRP resides, it can be moved by Ripple. Meaning they have control of XRP wallets. They can lock YOU out if they choose to. And that’s not decentralization. In a nutshell, Ripple is not helping the people. They are helping banks.

If it's shouldn't invest in XRP so which one is worst to invest in? I know that XRP is not the best cryptocurrency in this market but as I can see only BTC and ETH are better than XRP at the moment by taking a look at rank of XRP on Coinmarketcap. I don't think there is any reason that anyone shouldn't invest money in such a good crypto as XRP :). Of course there are so many other cryptocurrencies to choose instead of XRP but seem like XRP is still much better.

I know ripple is one of the top coins but no matter how much money I have, I already had the negative impression on ripple based on the reviews and articles I have read. Try to google it and see if you will still invest. There are a lot of better coins to choose from and regardless if the reviews are true or not, its better to stay away from it - Safe than sorry.

Ripple can be profitable for you to invest in, I just think that they are trying to protect you from having to go through massive price fluctuations seeing as ripple takes hit after hit in the market, the prices dropped so much that it can be hard to picture the price of ripple ever getting to a place where it is doing well but if you want to invest in ripple then you should, just don't put too much money in the coin.

Maybe because i still don't want a new altcoin to invest or I want the other one like Bitcoin and Ethereum. Also I don't want to invest to Ripple because I don't have enough knowledge about that coin, then I think its better to remain to your old invest coin than try a new one because those my last invest coin, I have been tested and one of my trusted invest coin. It is true that Ripple is a centralized trait that is completely opposed to Bitcoin.
I am also not fully convinced of Ripple because I only bought a little Ripple on the Exchange and it was kept for the long term.

Ripple is like a mistake between all crypro. As for me, I don't believe their idea. There are hundreds ICOs which are more technically fast and comfortable in using.

The spikes in ripple price contending with ETH for the second spot seems not organic so many people are still reluctant to head to invest in ripple.But I personally will like to invest in ripple looking at the FOMO around it could lead to organic price and stability which may lead to ripple replacing ETH permanently for second place on coin market cap.
