Title: Setting up Bitcoin solo mining
Post by: maxman190 on January 30, 2014, 02:40:13 AM
Okay, before I start, I just want to get it out there. Stop telling me there's no point to solo mining and all that non-sense, I've heard it all. I just want a STRAIGHT answer, none of that bullcrap that people seems to think it's useful to say over and over.

I put a .conf file into the appdata bitcoin:
daemon=1
server=1
gen=0
rpcuser=*****
rpcpassword=******
rpcallowip=127.0.0.1
rpcallowip=192.168.2.*
rpcport=8332

Then, I set up bfgminer with C:\bfgminer-3.10.0-win64\bfgminer.exe -o 127.0.0.1:8332 -u ***** -p ***** -S antminer:all --set-device antminer:clock=x0881

Is that all I need to do, then the reward would just go to my wallet? Do I need to put my wallet address anywhere? Is there a way to find out that my solo mining is working?

after saving config file you need to close wallet and open it again and that's it.
sit back and enjoy.
you know you are mining by the hashrate in bfgminer.
when you see "accepted" you found a block and 25btc will be in your wallet.
