Zeus Depository

Zeus Depository is an asset depositary, which is used to hold and manage traditional and digital financial assets. The Depository ensures exact correspondence of all issued digital assets with their matching conventional instruments. External auditors can readily verify all reports produced by Zeus. Digital asset settlement and deal completion are published to the blockchain.

Asset Tokenization

Digital asset is a security token issued for the specific underlying asset held at the Zeus Depository. When will ZEUS launch?
We expect to launch in 2018 with Alpha Zeus Exchange, offering NYSE/NASDAQ stocks and foreign markets, with crypto-stocks based on top-20 NYSE/NASDAQ stocks and with a few selected cryptocurrencies.

What currency will be used for deposits/withdrawals?
We will launch with USD and EUR in fiat currencies and with XEM in cryptocurrencies. We will be adding other cryptocurrencies at a Beta stage in 2019.

What currencies will be traded at the exchange?
Clientts will be able to trade USD and EUR for XEM at Alpha Launch. We will be adding other currencies and cryptocurrencies at a Beta stage in 2019.

How does digital asset work?
Digital asset is a mirror token that is issued for an underlying asset at Zeus. Traditional (fiat) assets used to back digital assets issued by Zeus, are held by the prime-broker, and thus enjoy all the traditional levels of protection (custodian, regulatory, security). Digital assets issued by Zeus are held in the public blockchain, ensuring full transparency.

How are digital assets audited?
External auditors and administrators have access to the internal depository to verify all reports produced by Zeus. Non-changeable deal execution reports and its verifications are published to the blockchain.

How to exchange digital assets and assets?
All clients, who have successfully fulfilled requirements for client identification procedures, will be able to execute and exchange between assets and digital assets through Zeus Exchange client interface and platform.

I may not know much about exchanges but i do know it is always good to here another exchange having an ico and prepared to compet with other exchanges. Will try to understand it more better.

Hi! Thanks for the question! First of all, there is not such things as complete security. If not technology, then human factor is an issue.

For instance, SEC has recently confirmed the cybersecurity incident happened with Equifax, consumer credit reporting agency: the information stolen by the attackers primarily included names, SSNs, birth dates, addresses of 143 million U.S. consumers. Let me repeat: HALF of the US population data got stolen. Yahoo, Accenture, Verizon have also been in the news with the same topic just recently. 

Now, on the security measures. All licensed financial services companies must adopt reasonable cybersecurity practices, that follow regulatory rules. It generally includes data security systems, sybersecurity programs, compliance certifications and documentation, penetration testing and vulnerability assessments, multi-factor authentication - and qualified cybersecurity personnel.

Zeus Exchange will be regulated as a finanical services company. As such, we would be adopting these cybersecurity practices under our licenses, and we will be adding blockchain cybersecurity practices, based on current market practice. 

We won't issue coins, we will issue a dividend token, which resemble a preferred share of our company.

interesting projects and community needs on the exchange platform is very high, but similar projects there are many in the market. what are the differences and advantages of your project with others?

I'm new to investment,  don't understand much how exchanges works, and there's a lot of technical terms in the description. Could you please just explain how exactly I can benefit by using your plataforma? I mean, what Is the principal difference from already existing Exchanges?

I read in your white paper that Zeus will allow trading via mobile. Is gonna be a mobile version of your website or an app for smartphones?

We plan to have USD, EUR, XEM, BTC, ETH in 2019 for deposits and withdrawals, and an exchange of these currencies and cryptocurrencies via Zeus Exchange platform as well.

There are already several trading platforms. For example, tradingview, which has all the necessary tools in my opinion. You have to be better and cheaper and then you will have success. Traders are cynical people, they do not like to overpay.

We expect to launch from Singapore, and add Malta and Gibraltar later on in 2018-2019. In generlal, our legal roadmap is for at least for 3 years to launch globally. We defenitely will be updating the community on which countries we are open and expect to be open way before the platform launch.

Our difference is that we provide a bridge to trade between the markets (single platform, choice of assets, conversion of assets), and that we provide digital assets, backed by classic financial assets, such as stocks. We don't list ICO tokens as of the moment, and we expect to add such tokens only at a later stage, when the market settles in.

Sure! Our platform aloows to trade stocks for fiat money, digital stocks for crypto, and exchange digital stocks to stocks, or exchange crypto to fiat. It means, you can invest in crypto and hide from volatility in - for example - crypto gold or crypto microsoft stock - or you can exchange your bitcoin for a dollar, and wire it to you bank account. Or you can, for example, choose to buy apple stock with your dollars too. Or you can but a crypto apple, and then change it to a real apple share. It's not a crypto-crypto only investment; it's all the markets you can imagine entrance (step by step). 

We will have a mobile version of Zeus Exchange trading platform, web-version, and a desktop one.

We don't directly compete with crypto exchanges or trading platforms on crypto only. We will connect financial markets, such as NASDAQ, and crypto markets (such as BTC, ETH or such as digital versions of NASDAQ stocks), and we will allow to go in between the markets at a single platform.

For example, Zeus Exchange clients will be able to trade -say, IBM - stock shares for fiat currency. Then you can take delivery of IBM in your broker account. Or, of you would be able to convert IBM stocks to digital IBM tokens, and trade those tokenized CRYPTO-IBM for cryptocurrencies.

Once Crypto-IBM is issued at Zeus Depository, the underlying IBM instrument is held frozen at the Zeus Exchange broker account until the Crypto-IBM redemption. You may choose to redeem Crypto-IBM and receive the actual IBM instrument.   

Othwrwise, you may sell Crypto-IBM on Zeus Exchange, and then you can withdraw cryptocurrency to your own wallet, or exchange the cryptocurrency to fiat, and then withdraw the funds to a bank account.

project with a fairly interesting concept of exchange that connects the financial market and crypto market. this Zeus project provides solutions for investors who have difficulty managing assets in the capital market. this kind of project is already widely raised in the platform so it takes a more vigorous strategy and promotion for the project is successful in the market. monitor first to see how the next development. hopefully Zeus can succeed as expected.

Good one! We offer digital assets, that may open a retail investments market. Generally, the smallest trade at the exchange would still be 100 shares per lot, somewhat $5000-$25000 for most liquid stocks, for example. Smallest trade for the digital asset would be 1 apiece, not 100. And you would be able to convert from the digital asset to its underlying.

The spectrum of trading opportunities you are going to offer is huge. Where are you guys incorporated and do you have all the licenses?

We will be adding cryptocurrencies based on tech requirements, liquidity, customer demand in the countries of the launch, trading volume, safety of transactions etc. We will certainly announce the priority list as soon as we check it thoroughly.

Absolutely true: within 2018-2022 timeframe. We will launch with a few tokenized assets, USD, EUR & NEM in an alpha version, and we will add BTC & ETH in beta. And we will keep building on top of it, step by step.

We are incorporated in Singapore, and preparing to file for the first set of licenses to launch Alpha Zeus Exchange in a few selected Asian markets. And full legal roadmap would take us at least 3 years to complete, most probably - more.   

Actually, that's exactly a new window of opportunity. Micro investors, who are interested to invest just a bit or invest with a spare cash, or simply gamble with a little of money represent an already huge and growing market. Take a look at Acorns, or Stash as examples in classic finance.

Professional traders will be able to diversify their trading strategies and hedge their positions. They can easily move from the Fiat market to the crypto market and back.

Large private (family) capital will be able to diversify their financial assets and receive additional profits from their possessions.

Large professional investors will receive an additional mechanism for hedging their investments, long-term investments and possession of financial and crypto assets.

Depending on your country of residence (if we operate in your country, that is); and when we launch, you would be able to register, provide documents for the compliance, and then receive your account details. Here's short version: 

Open account and deposit assets
1.   A client opens an account at Zeus Exchange and goes through ‘know-your-client’ (KYC) procedures. A client also supplies his bank account details for settlements in money, bank and broker details for settlements in money and shares, and e-wallet details for settlements in cryptocurrency.
2.   Once KYC is completed, Zeus Exchange signs a broker agreement with the client, and assigns a unique client ID. Zeus Exchange also provides its bank account details, broker details and e-wallet instructions.
3.   A client wires the assets (currency, cryptocurrency, shares) into the Zeus Exchange accounts under the broker agreement, and Zeus Exchange conducts the anti-money-laundering (AML) checks to verify the source of the funds involved in transaction. 
4.   Once AML checks are completed, and the money transfer is complete, a client receives his trading limits in broker account system.
5.   Finally, Zeus Exchange sends details to the client to enable him to access the trading terminal using a unique ID.

Withdrawal of assets
1.   Client sends a withdrawal order for currency, cryptocurrency, shares or digital shares to Zeus Exchange.   
2.   Zeus Exchange executes a withdrawal order through bank transfer, the ACAT system or through the transfer of cryptocurrency and digital assets after the exchange has cleared such transfer (specific clearing hours will be established later, but the general clearing procedure will be conducted 1-2 times per trading day).

Yes, on the blockchain side we will be using NEM multi-signature technology, NEM hot-cold wallet technology and any other levels of security chosen by the client in addition to our services. In addition to that we will be using blockchain monitoring instruments for the compliance purpose.

When I read information about your project I had such equivocal thoughts. All that was described seem to be good. But there is nothing extraordinary.

We mean the following:

A special mechanism is present in NEM blockchain, which permits us to ensure that all movements of our digital assets are done through Zeus platform, allowing KYC/AML compliance and security protection.

To make an example, Zeus Exchange clients will be able to trade, say, IBM stock shares for fiat currency, and optionally take delivery of IBM stock in their broker accounts, and to withdraw funds to their bank account, all utilizing legally compliant methods. Likewise, Zeus Exchange clients may trade tokenized CRYPTO-IBM for cryptocurrencies.

The platform will be available in the countries of the licenses, which we are going to obtain step by step. 

In short, even if our brokerage license would allow us to provide services to all EU citizens, the crypto license may not be that inclusive, and in such an example, it would mean, that we would provide an access to financial markets to all EU residents, and an access to crypto assets to only the residents of the countries where Estonia crypto license is applicable.

That's one of the reasons behind our heavy research legal-wise: to find the countries of the first entry, that would provide most wide access for the customers for both markets.   

So, in your example, if we have Estonia licenses and you are a EU resident, and our crypto license covers your country (for example, Latvia), then you can use it. If not (for example, Germany) - then you would be able to access financial markets only through our platform.

You know, there is a perception, that you can't save or invest much if you don't have enough money. The maths is different. If you save less then a dollar every day and transfer it to saving or investment account, you won't get much, it's true (0,99 ^ (365)= approx 0,026). But if you do it with just a bit more than 1 dollar, you can actually achieve much more (1,01 ^ (365) = approx 37,78)

So the reasoning behind micro investments is (a) save just a bit every day - from a spare cash and (b) have a habit of investing and reinvesting it. Problem with investing is that usually you don't have many options to invest so little. And we offer the solution to that. 

Our passion is to eventually provide a window of opportunity for everyone, and blockchain is one of the keys to implement this vision.     

I think this is a good idea to make a hybrid exchange that enable to trade crptocurrency and financial market in a single place.
I think this is a future solution to make trading became limitless.

There is a clear need in the market for a legal and compliant mechanism that connects conventional and crypto markets and is capable of partnering with traditional finance players such as banks and broker-dealers.

We beleive in the power of blockchain, but we also beleive that the legal framework is needed for markets to operate. We foresee blockchain developments applied to the regulation (regtech; smart contracts; API solutions), but we also see that unless the financial flows are transparent, the fintech can't really operate, because investment management is based on trust.

Interesingly enough, digital identity is another matter: while at the moment, a person identity is generally issued and protected and checked by governments (which is a matter of national sovereignity), it may (and we expect that) in the future finally become a person's own data to issue and share, and blockchain may be one of the technologies to do just that. And we would defenitely welcome and implement such a solution once it becomes a reality.
 
But for the time being: KYC/AML is a must.

When will the project be translated into other languages?  ??? :o :D

Zeus Exchange is a project that its currency platform crypto is usually a project like this can be successful and running well

We agree, that investments in financial securities are generally considered risky, with a risk of losing part or all of investments. Coins in crypto market generally represent a high risk category.

Which is why we created a new investment asset class for crypto investors: digital share, backed by underlying security, held in our custodian. For example, you would be able to trade crypto-IBM or crypto-GOOG, and then change it to an underlying IBM or GOOG, if you like.

Simply put, we connect crypto markets to the traditional financial infrastructure and enable you to easily invest in various asset types.

Apart from having the right team for the project, one key focus that our team has is building a product that is fully compliant with financial regulations. It's a project that shows how the identity transfer system can be developed. This is a proof-of-concept workflow and requires further development and investigation of new technologies, hopefully this project will run smoothly and get good response for investors

Today we are sharing details about Zeus Crypto which is preparing for beta-testing! 

👉 Beta-testing will start in 1 month. Sign up if you want to be the first to see Zeus Crypto, and help us get better - just drop us a line at beta@zeus.exchange! 💥 Tsss! Our comissions would be off for 3 months for all who would help us test Zeus Crypto 🙂

1️⃣ Once the beta-testing is over, we will launch Alpha Zeus Crypto - with BTC/XEM and BTC/XLM. We will be adding more cryptocurrencies later. Crypto-to-crypto would be simple, fast and with no registration (* in current regulatory environment; this part is a subject to change for the market, our company included);   

2️⃣ We will add fiat gateway for Beta Zeus Crypto. That would require registration and user verification procedure. Our fiat payment partner is Epay; 

🏗 And finally we will be adding digital assets of certain types (merchant-type assets, non-security by nature) and connecting Zeus Crypto to delivery and merchant platforms.
