Title: Red Fury COMM Ports / USB Drivers HW Errors
Post by: lozcs on January 30, 2014, 10:51:58 AM
Can anyone please help with  HW errors on a Red Fury?

I had a USB Red Fury running with a few USB Block Erupters no significant errors using a Win7 64 PC

Sold the Erupters and replaced with a USB BiFury

So now have Red Fury and BiFury

Followed instructions here..

http://bifury.com/support/

to install the WinUSB drivers for the BiFury also noticed WINUSB drivers for Red Fury so installed those also.

(In devices and printers it looks like it has removed the comm ports for the red fury)

Mining in BFGMiner no longer saw my Red Fury

Mining in cgminer both USB work but now Red Fury getting around 15% HW errors?

Any help?

Thanks

Hardware errors are perfectly normal with these devices so you can ignore them.
Different software uses completely different drivers for these devices so installing drivers for one software usually kills the other and vice vera.

Thanks...

Only thing is HW was <1% with BFGMiner using COM port

Currently 14% using WinUSB driver on cgminer

Normal to have massive hardware errors on this device. It's easy to just pretend they're not there and not show them in the software, but bitfury chips normally have a huge hardware error rate.
