Title: A grandiose socio-political experiment with bitcoin and blockchain
Post by: Victoria 06 on June 01, 2018, 10:00:45 PM
There is an idea - on the basis of inexpensive floating modules (see www.sea-unit.com) to create new territories in neutral ocean waters and declare independent states that will become models of progressive political devices. It will be a grandiose socio-political experiment that will give unrecognized recognition, expelled its territory (albeit small, but its own), oppressed freedom, poor income. And it is not necessary to live in the ocean - it's enough just to announce the creation of a new state, place a server with a list of citizens, choose a state system, government form, government, register a crypto-bank and a stock exchange (for the income of the economy). Then, on the basis of artificial intelligence, blockchain and other modern tools, the peoples will devise the most perfect models of political and economic life in the peak of the existing tyrannies

The problem with this idea is that a state only has any sort of diplomatic relationship with respect to other countries. If a country does not acknowledge you as a country, you have no diplomatic recognition from it. Most of these experiments fail simply due to these lack of acknowledgements. In your own mind it's your own country, but no other country will take it seriously or defend you from sea pirates for instance, or some congo nation that might conquer you. The UN isn't going to jump to your assistance when its member states don't take you seriously. Unless you have an idea to build a real military, it's pointless.

Yeah, pretty easy to do so...Palestine, Kosovo, Transnistria
This is the usual dream of everybody who thinks he is better than the evil "gubbermint"
What country is going to allow you to settle on their land?

Then, on the basis of artificial intelligence, blockchain and other modern tools, the peoples will devise the most perfect models of political and economic life in the peak of the existing tyrannies

Just stop it!
The blockchain is not some magical thing that is going to solve all the problems in the world and is going to stop rapes, homicides, and fraud (for god sake just look at those ICOs, the pump and dumps the manipulation)

Unless you have an idea to build a real military, it's pointless.

Now that I think about it, in no project about a free independent country did I hear anything about an army.
Clear indicator those people live in a dream.

A great social experiment with bitcoin and blochain? Does this happen? Governments in some countries have little interest in who will invest in bitcoin and whether they will lose or lose. But bitcoin is going to break away from society. It will boost the economy of a country.

Here are three projects discussed in the past year in this forum, in this section. Some of your socio-political ideas discussed especially in the earliest, the latter two perhaps just more focused on liveability factors:

Mindshore and "rational individualism" : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1964768.msg19532430#msg19532430

From theymos: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2418909.msg24753848#msg24753848

Elwar's discussion has some aspects of security and has good assessment findings: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3322719.msg34717254#msg34717254

All these discussions always remind me of the Principality of Sealand...https://www.sealandgov.org/

Without a developed economy, the army can not be hired. Therefore, after declaration of independence declaration, we registrate our own crypto-credit and without taxation and regulation for 1% of the turnover we provide all jurisdiction for offshore companies, stock exchanges, ICO, etc.
