Title: Ripple or other altcoins?
Post by: Jpt on June 02, 2018, 11:33:38 AM
Some people say that ripple would reach the moos soon. So I invested $5000 in it. To my dismay, it is decreasing in prices, incurring me a heavy loss. What do you think guys, will it increase in prices? or should I sell all ripple coins I have and go for another?

unfortunately, I think ripple is an ambitious crypto. at the beginning of last year I heard there are many partnerships that have been completed by ripple, ranging from finance companies to banking, but unfortunately until now ripple did not experience good growth and reached the maximum.

may I suggest you continue to hold the ripple until the profit target is reached and you can sell it.

It may be a good asset for investment, but still I would personally choose other altcoin, as I believe that Ripple may lose its support from crypto community as more and more people realize that it's pseudo-cryptocurrency that is not worth our support. But still now itmay have its ups, as many people are here just for earnings, not for idea or technology.

In my opinion, $5000 is not a small amount to invest in just one coin, and, for ripple, I think it is a huge amount to invest in. Although it has a big popularity, I think ripple can never be a good choice in crypto.

Ripple has been shown around the world including on the Ellen DeGeneres Show, it has potential but at the moment the price is not showing this. One major thing I think is holding it back is due to its affiliation with banks as bitcoin (being a successful crypto) strives off of this and is why people love bitcoin. If Ripple were to find something that the people love it will also do this.

if you believe you can recover your loss you can sell it and move on to another coin. but I guess ripples are not bad. many people strongly believe in this coin that one day there will be a significant increase.. many have argued that this is because of their supplay or because of the characteristics of ripple coins that differ from others. you remember XRB how cheap this coin was when he started there and now we all know the price has gone up tens of fold

Cant imagine that someone invest 5000 USD in single coin and that too XRP. This coin is having some disadvantages of its characters. Its not perfect crypto coin and its just unlimited in number so there will be never a big pumping of its prices anytime soon in the future. Ripple is getting hyped these days because people think that its use in some banking sectors can revolutionised it truly. However, thats not the real fact here as its emission will always keep rising as the sue increases and thus it will never reach a threshold where the prices are very high. You should really look after getting some profits when it hikes and then try to investing in some other coins.

You have a lot of money, but you canīt manage it. Investing in cryptocurrencies is for a long time, nobody gets rich over night.
There is only one way what you can do now - HODL. Soon you will see a big profit.

It's very wrong to listen to people on this forum, you do not need to do this, because no one here will ever tell you how to do it, because here most people write nonsense. So do not listen to people, think with your head.

Wrong coin and wrong strategy of investment. You dont invest just because you've heard that it will bring you to moon soon.

Researching on what you are investing is what an investor need, dont invest because of hearsay but invest because you know that its the right place for your money and you know what you are doing.

Although Ripple is developing very fast and has plenty of agreements with influential companies and banks, a lot of investors and traders are very sceptical about it because it is not like other cryptocurrencies: it is centralized and obeys all the regulator's rules. That's why the majority of people don't trust it and see how its management team makes all the steps to make cryptos lose their basic features and peculiarities.
I also entered the market because of the amazing story with it at the end of 2017. Although, soon I realized how this market works. I bought XRP once and it didn't bring me any profit actually. And I want to warn you that if you expect Ripple to burst and bring you huge profits, it won't. At least not in the closest time, maybe in 2-3 years. The main issue for that is the massive circulating supply of XRP coins: 39 bln. coins are too much. Very few coins can with billions of supply can reach more than 1-2$ price.
I advise you to invest in other top coins.

Ripple does not deliver enough value to holders. The company Ripple Inc is probably a good one and has made great progress, but the coin per se does not seen to capture the value at all.

But the big thing on here is that most people doesnt really like to have banksters involvement which we do know that Ripple(XRP) is into. Why would i chose up this coin compared to those who do have a clear potential than on this one? Pump might happen yet it can be easily manipulated but when it comes to long term i dont really trust this up but well as a crypto enthusiast we do have different decisions when it comes to choosing our own coins.

Ripple is very promising altcoin and very serious team that made a lot of deals with different banks in the world, but its not good option for investing because very big market cap right now its better to invest to other alts with lower market cap.

I think ripple will be valuable later. Although the price is falling now. But this is the performance of the market as a whole. If you sell ripple, you really lose a lot. If you continue to hold the future, there is hope for the overturn. If you sell it, you won't have a chance to get a profit.

Lol don't be fooled by others. Those are saying ripple goes to the moon just try to fool you because they all have a purpose to shilling ripple.
I suggest you invest in the altcoin which still undervalued right now. If you buy the major coin at peak and it will be very risky. The important thing for you to remember buy altcoin when it was decreasing a lot.

Do your own research please. You have invested in coin depending on others' words. If you know this coin better, maybe you wouldn't be investing this amount by this price. I recommend you to sell even in loss and find another asset, or if you can afford to forget about this money - so forget for a year, will see what will change

Just hold on to it. Maybe it would increase by the end of the year or next year and just be patient for a little longer. If you dump your Ripple very soon you might regret it if its value suddenly skyrocket. Im pretty optimistic that Ripple could increase any moment.
Its also a great investment to buy alt coins too. There are many alt coins with great potential and could gain great profits.

You shouldn't have invested in that coin, at what price have you bought it anyway?
I would sell it and spread money into different altcoins.

First of all, you should understand that investing in any cryptocurrency may result in a loss. I think Ripple is still good. Its price is fairly stable, but if you think it is too dangerous, then giving up is also a good choice!

I think cryptocurrency technology developed by Ripple is the best at the moment. One technology developed by Ripple will bridge the payment issue between the digital currency and the existing banking industry.

I think it's better to hodl your coins first, let it rise a few percent first then sell, I think $ 5000 is not a little money in investing my advice to invest 50% on bitcoin 30% on eth and the rest for altcoin others.

if you're patient, maybe at the end of this year will be profitable, I'm sure ripple coins have many communities, and almost in all markets there are these coin, so you do not need to panic when the price goes down. You should not have to put all your money in one coin

Well ripple is a good crypto and i have heard so much about ripple on this forum. However, i still prefer ether because ether is a crypto base on most of the altcoins and tokens in the crypto market. So i might consider ripple when doing an investment. And still i will take my time to see, invest in ripple if possible as it seems like ripple a really good crypto.

That just always turns out to  be bad .
Do  not put all your stakes in one coin . It is always advised by everybody which is an expert and has an experience that distribute the money into different potential coins. But the people end up doing the same mistake again and again . You can also invest in REMME . It is a very good ICO and the coin is registered . I think REMME can be the future and is already trending and attaining value.

Ripple is actually overhyped when it touched around $3 per coin, I have even seen few of my friends making their exist at that price who have bought ripple at only 1 cent per coin. So if you want to be successful cryptocurrency investor/trader you also have to book profit when it reach peak price rather than just holding coins for forever.

If you have ripple than keep holding it, all coins are dumped right now but we all know recovery is just around the corner. Don't panic hold for next few months...

$5000 is too much for a single altcoin, you should invest to the other altcoins in case you missed the price at least you can diversify your investment to avoid losses. This is a common problem of the other traders who's focusing only on a single target while missing the other important targets that has the same or more potentials than to your current investment.

I believe that Ripple will have the potential to return to the price of $3 case at the same time as the BTC back to the level of $20K or above. However there are also other good projects in the Fantasy Gold Coin community is my favorite altcoin. It's the number # 1 crypto in Fantasy sport and Esports. They just held a DragonBall FighterZ live Esports tournament in Las Vegas and have working products. Now with live events on FGC Arena. https://twitter.com/fantasygoldcoin

If you've invested $ 5,000 in ripples, I think you have a lot of confidence in the crypto. Current Ripple is just behind BTC and ETH on the market, and according to investors, the ripple in the future will become the most potential crypto in the market with the introduction of blockchain technology applied in banks. So I recommend you hold the Ripple for at least the next 2 years.

There's an option you don't need to sell the half of it, if you know the role of ripple and her potential. You can invest in different altcoins besides ripple if you have a money. Make a lot of research about the cryptos that you trying to invest and make a decision on your own, not on what the other said.

Even banks want to use this technology they may ask for a private network which is only used for their banking purpose and they may not use this ripple public blockchain. But I'm not sure how this can help to ripple coin price to go up. I actually made a very good profit from this coin last year and sold all my coins at higher prices and now not interested in this coin and it is just my opinion.

I think ripple is a great coin , a lot of expectation is coming from this coin since bank wants to used this coin, but it hasn't helped ripple to get a good price, the rising is too slow according to me, and a lot investors don't like this coin because it's centralized coin, so I suggest to choose other coin to invest

Some people say that ripple would reach the moos soon. So I invested $5000 in it. To my dismay, it is decreasing in prices, incurring me a heavy loss. What do you think guys, will it increase in prices? or should I sell all ripple coins I have and go for another?

I guess this money is just your extra funds since you have the guts to use it as capital for a ambitious coin like ripple, though i believe that ripple has afuture but were not sure if when is this future will happen.

But until you sell the coin youre losing nothing so better keep if and just leave in your wallet for long time, then theres might be a good profit from hen

If you don't need cash now, I suggest you take it easy.
Because XRP is at a very low price, you just have to wait.

unfortunately, I think ripple is an ambitious crypto. at the beginning of last year I heard there are many partnerships that have been completed by ripple, ranging from finance companies to banking, but unfortunately until now ripple did not experience good growth and reached the maximum.

may I suggest you continue to hold the ripple until the profit target is reached and you can sell it.
for Ripple is indeed a very capable coin to become a reliable coin and become a precious coin in the future. with the potential of Ripple like this to be very profitable, and I do not think it needs any other coins that are still uncertain. I assure you to have Ripple only.

I prefer other altcoins such as etherium for example. etherium was ranked second in the coin market cap. This shows the etherium potentially good in terms of price stability or potential future. though ripple is also potentially.

I divide my investment capital into equal parts and invest in different coins. I do not attach particular importance to any one coin. This strategy allows me to reduce the risk of loss. And I don't like ripple because of it's obvious centralisation.

It's better to invest in ethereum than xrp. because ethereum has real project which is going to boom this coin. you can also invest in neo.  it has great potential too

In a short note, ripple is such a centralized coin up to an extent, rite from time I dislike xrp for the fact that it had deviated from a strong part which crypto is based on which is decentralization. I prefer other Alts to Xrp to be frank. Everyone is entitled to their opinion I believe

Ripple is one of the best coin and currently ranks at number 3 on coinmarketcap site but if you observe the growth of Ripple is constant or very less volatile which doesn't provide much profit to its investors. I think there are many good altcoin than Ripple and one such coin is Remme, Remme is still a new coin and not known to much audience due to which it is still selling at a very low price. Investing in this coin can help you make good profit when market rises again.

Seems people don't understand this. You can't buy and hold forever, when investment reach target it is best to sell. Nowadays investors buy coin, coin reach its peak and they hold it. For what they are holding, what can they expect? Peak and another peak?
When I joined this industry I was advised not to hold too long to not become bagholder, I don't even know if new investors are familiar with that term.

RIpple is centralized coin, that is why stakeholders can do whatever they want with its price. I would not buy it, in my opinion Ripple is the worst top-10 coin.

I think buying Ripple at this stage is very safe, not in the current market downturn. Don't invest in other altcoin at this time, it may lose all your funds.

I think it's a good decision, you are not wrong choosing Ripple as an investment place. because Ripple is an altcoin that is very noticed by the Ripple founder. besides that Ripple has a lot of supply.

so, you better do not be in a hurry to sell it. Ripple has good growth in the future.

All the market suffer a big decrease in price right now, so no wonder it gives you a big loss. Even though i personally hate ripple, but i see ripple as a coin that has a big potential, so you might want to gold it for a while.

If you interested on searching for another coin, see my signature.

Ripple is shit. How can something  centralized considered a crypto-currency!? It won't rise again, better to invest in some other alt which offers better potential
Like IOST, just dig into it, read about it and you will be convinced yourself about it's potential!
Good luck!
