Many people have been fooled by scams like this, email messages, airdrop, etc.
Here are some examples of scams

-Scams by email

In airdrop, we have to login to a fake website "MyEtherWallet.tips". Never go to any website other than this site www.myetherwallet.com

- Forging the token is in the process of ICO

-Scams via telegram
Asking you to enter your private key to confirm your participation in the airdrop, many have been fooled by this. Absolutely don't give private keys for anyone or any airdrop and bounty.
Refer to the token's official social networking or website before sending the ETH or BTC to a certain address.
This is just a small part of countless scams so be careful, check it carefully before joining a program.

Scams are every where now. I hate to see a lot of scam accounts pretending to be other people on Twitter advertising free ETH giveaway. I am so sick when I know many people must have been fooled by them.

I agree with this especially with your email there are a lot of fake links came from scammer people so avoid opening or clicking that. Always remember never login there you wallet using your private key and also giving any funds to other people be careful always and make double as much as possible.

yes, the most vulnerable is when they start asking about private key, it is certain that they are a scam and immediately stay away from them.

Well everyone in the forum or every person in the cryptocurrency industry should be responsible and should be have enough knowledge not just how to avoid scams but also what are the different scams that is spreading in the cryptocurrency industry well the most common is the email and the phishing scam but we should also be aware of other scams. Yup, that is one reason I've stopped taking part in social media bounties and free airdrops. I even recently got an email from bitcointalk stating that someone used a forgot password button on my btctalk account with a link telling me to use that to set a new password. I never even clicked on 'Forgot Password' button. So  hopefully you folks have a strong btctalk password.

Can you send me pictures of that email?
I will make evidence so that people are more careful when reading such emails.

yes they can scam in any ways like they pm you on telegram and fool you to invest.and they are active on telegram groups mostly and they have there eyes on the participants.so be careful from scammers and don't give them your personal details like your ethereum address,your email id etc.

I have received a lot of these emails sent to my email address too, and I would usually delete all of those emails without even reading it, I will not even click on any links that are included in the email, as it might contains virus or malware that could allow the hackers to get hold of important data on your personal devices.

This is a high effort high class of scam. It is usually no to few things to be considered as scam. All was detailed and legit and even send you Personal messages. This is also why we do not blame those people who get scammed. Scams are everywhere and with different form and it get worse from time to time.

This should be read by people who loves joining bounties and airdrops, it's really around this forum and scammer / hacker is getting wiser everyday, they find new innovations to trick people so better to pay attention with those site and make sure that you are well informed about the instructions that they gonna ask you to do, thanks OP for bringing this up it would give some prevention avoiding mistakes and being hacked.

Sorry but I deleted that email immediately after reading it. If I get it again I will surely take the screenshot of it.

I also receive many emails like that, the link is true myetherwallet, but when we click the link it then automatically we are go a different site but exactly the same as myetherwallet and this is phishing. Now we have to be more careful and do not open any links that are not known source. Thanks OP has given a warning here.

This is a really helpful information for me and I never thought attempts with such swift look can be done. Look at the bitchy websites and how they are deceiving the people to put their private keys in those MEW look a like websites.

I think you have done very good job by showing all these pictures here as they clearly show the hacking attempt that is being done. I think this post will help most of the newbies as they fall for such stuff in the greed and to earn lot of money from the crypto currencies. After the MEW phishing sites this is another one I am looking at and its good as next time I will be able to differentiate the both.

This scam issue is everywhere now, some of my friends lost their hydro token worth $2k+ to them.
My only concern is that they are impersonating good project which have a lot of potential,  when you get into telegram groups now, you will see a lot of members blaming admins for the scam issue.

I agree with this thing and it is very helpful to everyone who is just starting right now maybe it becomes a head start to the newbie in this platform that scam is everywhere and being wise is the best thing to avoid it. There is also a scam in bounty and we must be aware on it. I don't know why people enjoying deceiving people by means of this thing I feel ashamed on them because they cannot work hard or to strive more for their own so that they scam everyone i fell pity on them because they are the cancer in this kind of business I hope someday that they will get rid and totally disappear because they fooled a lot of people for their own sake.

Do not understand that people still trust in these fake ICOs...

We all should know one thing that nothing is free in this world and if anyone offering anything free then we all should check few times why they are giving free. If someone giving free things for their product to market then some logic but why anyone will give already established coins ETH? They somehow want to steak your personal information so they come up with different tricks and it is our responsibility act wisely.

I see this is another way of a serial scam, they giving their private key cost they though it is like ether delta or fork delta... little they know they are now being abused.. those poor people only have little knowledge on crypto. i hope this topic warn them.

This is the reason why I just use my  throwaway email when registering to the dashboard of ICOs. By  doing this, I don't read the email there,  if  there  is the need to, I will thoroughly read everything and check the emails. I suggest you do the same.   This isn't going to be their trick, they'd be much creative later on as  we all learn who to avoid them.

Yup it is very useful for new members who still do not understand about crypto and who is still a beginner, hope this does not happen to all of us, do not send a private key from our wallet

thanks for your reminder. But I don't think this kind of email makes sense. Liar's technical means are too low. I will not open it directly. There is no free lunch in this world. So I will not consider the coins on e-mail. I think such a liar is naive.

One step ahead to fight scammers are limit their movement and innovations by spreading the news to as many people for the awareness and careful way. Never share our private matters such as password for everything (email, bct, moreover MEW PK).
