Title: You want to know what's the best charity out there? I'll tell you.

This is what you do:

You sell great things, affordably. It's the best thing you can do for this world.

I like the way you think.  The way I'm helping the world is doing what I do, then not trying to get rich off the result.  Just make enough money to build another, a little better this time.  And teach anyone along the way that wants to build one themselves.

Philanthropy is a transfer. Profitable business is wealth creation.

What if your business is disaster relief and your revenue is completely dependent on your effectiveness and efficiency when you deal with disasters? Especially considering it's a lot easier to make money year round, rather than waiting for a disaster and charging those affected. While I agree that charity is irrational, good charities operate like good businesses, they try to get things done as best as possible, then they jump ship. That way they can say, "Look what great things we do. Give us money. Claim it on your taxes."
