Title: New investor here. Need some advice
Post by: drepteck on January 30, 2014, 10:44:37 PM
I've got 5 BTC that I want to invest and I have transferred them to Cryptsy.
I need a high volume coin to be able to withstand someone putting in 5 BTC all at once.
Was thinking of buying Lottocoins after watching it for a couple of days.
The sell walls have been thinning out every day and the move up has already started so I am really close to pulling the trigger.

What do you guys think?

To come to your question, I simply consider crap 99% of altcoins.

I'd suggest Dogecoin, because it has an amazing community that's quite different from bitcoin's and the other altcoin's. Of course, you should diversify as much as possible in case it doesn't work out. And you should research the assets you can invest in at cryptostocks.com and havelockinvestments.com , it can be quite profitable.

loll. I just read the title of the thread in the link, "hodl". I agree to that thread though, any un-experienced trader should just hold.

New invester? Don't buy any alt coins and you won't risk losing anything and hold onto Bitcoin.

Agree, alts are more volatile, so the investment is more risky. Either try mining alts or invest in bitcoin.

Invest in NEM

Also NXZ (which is free just reply to the thread)

Leave the expensive miners in the dust and make all their mining rigs worthless by promoting coins that are distributed evenly with a broad userbase that is more likely to keep the coin sustainable over the long term! Also these coins can be used to exchange currencies directly and much more!

Who let the doges out, by the way?

As a new investor, mucking around with dodgy alt-coins is not the way to increase 5BTC. You do realize they are all controlled by pump-and-dumpers right? They will take your money and laugh at you. Happens every day.

Just hold your 5BTC in a wallet for now.
