So an Australian airport now accepting cryptocurrency, we see more and more places doing this... what are some places that need more Crypto atms? Is using these ATMs easy and quick?

It seems Australia is becoming a more crypto friendly country than others. I think Australian government's decision to exempt cryptocurrency from double taxation helped the Australian businesses to get in to crypto related businesses.  This is a massive step taken by Brisbane airport.

There are around 9 bitcoin ATMs in Brisbane according to coinatmradar.com. I guess there will be more bitcoin ATMs in Brisbane in the future as there will be more demand due to Brisbane airport's cryptocurrency acceptance.

I wonder what kind of cryptocurrency does Australia currently accept?

One reason I found was that some countries where economic conditions are not very good have specifically supported cryptocurrencies. It seems that the dollar hegemony has also come to an end. The cryptocurrency must defeat the rule of the dollar!

This is a great start. Cryptos are actually easier for payment on the go like on public transportation as well as buying of product and services.
Bitcoin ATM sustain on a fee and work as an exchanger, while buyer to seller transaction would be more beneficial to both the parties.

They do not just take bitcoin, but also BCH, DASH, ETH, BTC, STEEM, and XEM.
This is a cool move forward. I never traveled to Australia. But I hope soon other airports will see that it works fine and will start using these developments.

Can you tell me the reliable source about that? it will be much better to let everyone know about that through use the reliable news. The problem by using atm is the fees for every tx is really high. It's easy and even instantly but there is a lot of people are still feeling doubt to be charged more fees through use atm.

Off course if they start using the Bitcoin ATM at airport then it would be far far beneficial as it is international centre point where foreigners will have an opportunity to exchange their crypto currency for the australian dollars.  :D

I think this idea is great and if the news is true then really Australia has taken nice initiative by starting up this ATM. Lets see how big it goes.

Although their support is a good thing, I personally do not like Australia. They are short-sighted and they are American running dogs.

The news is actually really cool, because it is not only about the ATM in the airport, but also about merchants accepting cryptocurrencies as payment. I think that ATMs are not what can solve a problem, since they indicate that people still use cryptos only indirectly, by converting them into fiat. What we need is terminals in shops where you can pay for goods by a touch of the card. I know there is the project which wants to establish that in Lithuania, perhaps there are similar talks in other countries, but so far it is not our reality and that imprisons cryptos as means of payment.

It seems to me the use of crypto currency in payment for something either now can be complicated by fact that the price is very unstable and it is necessary to update the price data constantly.

The news is very interesting and fun, I think developing countries will not reject cryptocurrency, technology and transparency cryptocurrency is very advanced and cutting edge, I am sure other countries will receive cryptocurrency and ATM cryptocurrency will spread in big cities.

Australia is already my favourite country in the world. I really like the fact that they want to make the use of crypto more mainstream in all the country, and i hope that other countries will adopt the same mentality as Australia.

I don't like ATMs much tbh, best is to have more merchants and services to accept crypto but to issue payments in crypto as well. We are yet in some slow beginning of things and this is great news airport! I guess I have to move to Australia  ::) ::)

According to the articles, the refered airport is Australia’s Brisbane Airport, which (at the time of writing around end of Jan 2018) will accept Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin, Dash and Steem.

This is a very good news for crypto world . Australia has already shown some great support towards bitcoin and other crypto currencies in past since it is such a technology acceptable country . Australia has proved to be one of the most advanced visioned country and by placing the crypto ATMs at the airport it has also set an example to all the other countries to adopt the crypto.

The ability to trust anyone with the news is really scary one as many can write what they want and others will see it for grouted and then you will see same news popping up on another news websites and then you will start to believe that it is actually true what is happening around the world. However I find this to be correct news without any fake attribute added to them which makes it really good and it gives us an view of bullish trend that might continue in the future regarding crypto.

This information if it is truth will help us to develop more hope on cryptocurrencies and many of us that did not believe that bitcoin is the money of the future should be able to really make progress on enlighten others that an airport has started to accept bitcoin as a mode of payment.

If indeed this is proven true then it certainly would be good news for the future of crypto. the existence of this certainly will make crypto is increasingly accepted in various countries and will raise the price of crypto as well. of course, this could also be expected followed by other countries because of its own Crypto functions are certainly very useful.

It’s really good news some of the countries like Australia , Korea , japan , European countries already adopted crypto currency is future currency they are making all the preparation for that . It’s really good if government understands people’s thoughts.

That is a good development to the crypto community. I think i have seen a news similar to this some times ago. There are also other good reports and info coming up these days as regards crypto, which means that more adoptions are coming up in future.

I think you should add evidence to validate the information, avoid confusion as well as inaccurate information to everyone as well as investors. I do not know how to use ATM crypto or ATM bitcoin, but certainly, the ATM machine will make it easy to make transactions. so ATM crypto very required, especially in countries that receive crypto.

I missed this news. In fact, altcoins are entering our real life more and more. Payment at the airport is just a novelty and very surprising. You imagine, after a couple of years, it can be a common thing like Wi-Fi. I'm just glad I'm a part of progress.

Well, good news from OP. Plus, I think that Australia wants to benefit from Bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general, because they know that in someday the era of crypticurrecy will be more important than now and there will be a development in their success despite that there are many problems during this period because of the attempts of the governments.
In addition to that, I think there is an evolution in the decisions of some countries (Like, Japan, UK... and now Australia) towards the digital currencies, it is very expected that in the future we will see the widespread recognition of Bitcoin and crypto in many countries .

This is a good news and a welcome development. We need more countries like Australia to also legalize crypto in their country as a means of payment. The world is moving from a paper money to a digitized one.
