Quantum Computing ‘Poses No Realistic Threat’ To Bitcoin: Research

Popular fears about the continued rise of quantum computing and its security implications for blockchain technology are misguided and blown out of proportion.

I see no reason why this keeps making the news every once in a while, especially when the conclusion reached is the same.
This article talks about the 'threat' considering the current quantum computing power. Isn't it obvious that the current power isn't a threat, because Bitcoin is still flourishing?
An article written a couple of years back...

Well, newbies need to be reminded that quantum computers are still very far away from becoming a threat, if you check Technical Discussions board, there's a threat about quantum computers almost every week, with the same question like: "I've heard quantum computer can hack Bitcoin is that true?". It should become a common knowledge that quantum computers won't pose a threat to Bitcoin and cryptography in general in the near future.

That's practically impossible. If we look at how people don't even manage to obtain basic internet or Bitcoin understanding, how would they ever understand what quantum computing means?

I rather have people ask questions where they get their answers as many times as they need, than having uneducated people spread false information potentially scaring off people for nothing.

Education is key in every aspect, so we should help people understand everything where possible. See it as a transfer of knowledge (we > they > others > and so forth) that will help Bitcoin become less doubtful for them.

I also find this article useful. One of the most common arguments used against bitcoin and blockchain technology is reflected here. People should understand that this technology has its problems, but they are not critical, as far as they are represented in the media. Plus, the previous article does not provide evidence, namely - the authoritative opinion of the Dr. Gavin Brennen. so this article is the place to be, especially now, when bitcoin and cryptocurrency in General, such a flow of negativity.
