What do you think about adding a child board Development & Technical Discussion for the Altcoin board? I know the chances that will happen are almost the same as meeting Charlize Theron on my way home and her asking me to make sweet love to her. Still it's worth a try.

I just tried to spin up a new thread about smart contracts in Altcoin Discussion, which i think it could lead up to something good since there may be a good exchange of ideas and examples. Moreover i'm sure there are other people interested to learn more like me. The only problem is that the thread has been literally asphalted by the amount of threads and discussions going on in there, i understand they may be of a higher level than mine, but this is the only board available at the moment for this kind of discussions.

this has been discussed multiple times.. as recent as April 2018.

it's not entertained by administrators, I guess because they also need to think who's gonna moderator this? Finding new moderators or giving  job to the current moderators will be just increase their daily activity without any visible advantage.  

Also then what will happen to original "Altcoin Discussion"? This will go in drain like "Bitcoin Discussion"... better not to create Altcoin Technical Discussion :)

Your best option in trying to start a decent discussion about something like that is to bump the thread once per day. Make sure to delete old bumps.

It can be tough I tried to start a few discussions about the thefts of equipment from farms, and also about the BTG 51% attacks only to have them fall to the way side.

Unfortunately you can't always find people who want to engage in a discussion on the first try.
