Title: Bug report. Error during report a post to moderator.
Post by: The Cryptovator on June 04, 2018, 09:00:22 AM
Once I am going to report a post to moderator, I have seen this massage. It's happens from two days. Yesterday also happen, I just refresh page and it's become fine. Today again happen. Even though I didn't make any post today. But I can see below massage. There showing I make post 7 second ago. But I didn't make any post recently.

Another thing there showing I am trying to post ! But actually I am trying to report a shitpost. You can check address bar. Action=report. I think there is no limit on report a post to moderator. Even there is limit but I just try first time for today. Make a new topic and report a post can't be related. So during report a post this massage should not be appears here. It should be appears during make a new topic.

I think there is bug error and need to fixed it.

Edited: I am not using vpn and I am using mobile network. There is no chance that some other will use my ip. And I didn't double click.

Afaik, creating a new topic or making a new post or sending a private message or reporting a post are all related and you have to wait a specific time (depends from your rank) between each action.

Yes, including searching. When you rank up the time is reduced. For Full member and up is 4 seconds. For Member it was 11 seconds. Idk for Jr. and newbies, but it can be found in the rules somewhere.

Every one explaining me there is specifics time as per rank. This reply for you and I make it big. Because i already mention I didn't make any post recently. But you can't see. I know that there is time span between each post. But I didn't make any post/report  during 8 hours. After 8 hours a was attempting to report a post to moderator. That time I have face this problem. Not only today. Also yesterday. That's why I make post.

If we are making things big so they can be seen, Invoking gave you an answer that should work.

Just a friendly english tip here.

Message= a verbal, written, or recorded communication sent to or left for a recipient who cannot be contacted directly (taken from dictionary definition)

Massage= a gentle or firm rubbing to soothe aches and pains in muscles or joints... Happy ending may or may not be included  :P  (Not taken from dictionary)

Well i guess before we jump to conclusion and start throwing rules and regulations threads to OP's face...

Please read and understand the OP first...

1. But I didn't make any post recently.
2. I just refresh page and it's become fine.

So clearly there is a bug, although not very critical or show stopper and can be ignored. But at least give him a space, he is reporting correct issue.

If that's the case then I suspect someone else is posing from your IP. I wonder if this could be the case. Check the message>

Anyone else connected to your network? Are you using VPN?

Too angry to make a conversation in a polite way. I am deleting my earlier post (http://archive.is/DtgGw#selection-2357.0-2357.56). I suggest you visit this page: Security bounties ===>>> https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=309785.0

You ask the right question. I will edit my post. No one connected on my network. I am using mobile network. There is no chance to make post from my ip by other people.

Are you accidentally double clicking? I run in to the 4 second timer quite often just because I clicked the button twice. I'm pretty sure that it doesn't even send the initial report if you do this either. However, don't quote me on that.

This is especially easy to do when your on a laptop with the sensitive touchpads.
