I use Metamask, it has automatically detected phishing sites like when there is a problem etherdelta and myetherwallet has been hacked. I tried to enter and immediately detected at that time. so my token is safe.

to protect my wallet against my phishing crimes using metamask which is an extension of google chrome, until now I feel that metamask is safe enough to protect my wallet from crime

You can use a hardware wallet, like Ledger or something else. on Myetherwallet's site is highly recommended. because it is true security.

The best way to make this simple is, download imtoken to your phone.
import your myetherwallet and control affairs of your mew on the imtoken

Use metamask for your trade, install it to chrome, and send your coins there to trade.
That way you are safe, secure and no attack can overcome your mew.

If you do not have a hardware wallet then use Metamask for more security. Also be careful when visiting unsafe websites.

Runs MEW locally will much better in my opinion. But just try to install metamask add-ons and this will be adding another layer to avoid the phishing or suspicious site that can steal our privatekey.
But in my experience, the majority of those are getting fucked due to the joined in various suspicious airdrop coins.

Actually if you don't want to download any extension in the google chrome you can bookmark the site. It is simple feature but useful, or you can use metamask that mention by others. But better you download metamask it's light, easy, and give you protection.

First you should be aware on the correct URL link of myetherwallet itself or either bookmark it into your browser so that you wont able to click other similar name phishing sites on google search. 2nd, having a clean computer which is clean from any malware or viruses, 3rd keep your keys as safe as you can either you do wrote it on a paper or store it up on a USB with either having 2-3 copies then store or hide it up into a place that no one knows or can steal it up.

myetherwallet never has problem with phishing attack, they are FUD.

I added MEW to my chromes extension and I don't get to import using my private key on decentralized exchanges instead I use Metamask which is equally added to my chromes extension.

To protect yourself from phishing on the Myetherwallet resource, use the METAMASK plugin.
