The good thing, India would benefit the value and exist of the bitcoin because it can gain more higher profit if the bitcoin will be implemented in india and other countries.

in my opinion, India could be an important factor in the development of bitcoin in South Asia. if India does not ban bitcoin, I think countries in south asia will take part, although the process will be long and time consuming. The point is back to the government in that country.

As for now, they may not embrace the power of cryptocurrencies, yet! But I know when they are starting to feel being left out then they will also eventually use it.

No people in this world can stop bitcoin, it is here to stay and the digital currency is the future. The sooner the governments all over the world realize it the better for them. Cryptocurrency can be very beneficial for the economy for a country, so the governments don't want to miss this opportunity.

India has been looked as one of the nations that would see Bitcoin’s future in the coming years. One report suggested that , demonetisation practise done by Government has helped increased the weekly business of bitcoin trading in India. The increased trading helped push the digital currency’s value to recent highs.

The current situation is not very positive in india right at this moment. The Reserve Bank of India had issued a notice to all commercial banks which forbids them to provide services to any crypto related businesses. Few crypto exchanges have taken this matter to the court and surprisingly the court had denied interim injunction on that notice.

The future looks grim under current government policies as this givernment is driven by religious forces.

Weren't all of the Indian crypto exchanges leaving the country and moving to Singapore or something?

One cannot possibly blame India for blocking banks to work alongside crypto businesses. A lot of people got scammed in India, people were held at gun point apparently, and the thieves took away the entire money. But we can't blame crypto as well. The future looks uncertain, there were rumors about the Reserve Bank of India releasing their own coin, hopefully whatever happens, it is for the best.

Indian crypto exchanges are certainly planning to a more crypto friendly nations like Singapore or Hong Kong but that doesn't help the common crypto users of India. Where the common people used to receive domestic remittance, they will start receiving foreign remittances which will raise another set of alarms to the tax authority. Individual peoples will start getting tagged by the tax authorities on those remittances. This will further worsen the situation.

The only way is to keep the p2p transaction market alive like localbitcoin and paxful. p2p transactions are harder to catch if the amount is kept within a certain low limit. But if the government finally decides to ban it, a lot of people will face serious trouble.

for a while, I see that the Indian government still does not accept bitcoin and other cryptos. a high number of population in India makes the government must take preventive action to avoid criminality by using bitcoin or other cryptos.

I am convinced that the Indian government actually realizes that bitcoin and crypto are their economic solutions. but they just are not ready yet. and there are still many primitive societies.

A country where internet is just new, it will take some time for the public to accept it as a currency. Most of the people in India, think of bitcoins like some stock that can be used for investments.
Things are going to be like this, static, for a decade. It's going to take some time to make an environment like south korea here.Till then it's future depends on some ignorant bureaucrats :/

As far as bitcoin is concerned, the government has given three months time for the investors to convert their bitcoins in to fiat.

Even though Bitcoin usage is not valid in India, in the future, India will be a successful country for Bitcoin. Because many people of India are still involved in Bitcoin. I think India will soon declare Bitcoin validity and many of India's people will be released from unemployment. In the future, India will move forward economically depending on this bitcoin.

Good to hear that, if their government support bitcoin that's gonna be awesome since India is the second country with the highest population after China. However the government have done the right thing protecting their citizen from something bad we all know that this is the common issue and the reason behind why those countries banning bitcoin, yup people are losing money on hyip or Ponzi scheme even though is not bitcoin's fault, the government just see it as a threat for them.

It is very critical stage for Bitcoin in as clearly there are two minds,1) that wants Bitcoin and 2) The government. After bans and everything the government hasn't taken any action yet for those who are still doing transaction Soo that is indicating that government is still giving a thought to there decision and that more than enough for Bitcoin. As far as my thinking is concern I still say the future is very critical for Bitcoin in India.

Traditional crypto exchanges aren't meant for handling fiat money. Even if it's assumed that the exchanges will stay in India, people will be taxed, for financial gains, although I am quite not sure on that.

And it's the banks that act like cunts. They block your money all the time in the name of privacy policy. I can tell you that the privacy policy is fucked up in the arse. I'll give you one example: My bank held a few thousand dollars a few weeks ago for a payment that I made. They blocked it for god knows why reason, when enquired I was told it is because of their policies and the funds in hold will be released in 3 Business days. 3 days later, no funds received, I call up the bank and they now claim it takes 14 days. And the amount they held is not a small amount. They need proof for literally everything. Providing proof of funds for P2P transactions would be fucking bothering and risky, if one exchanges bitcoin to Indian currency.

Under the current government policies? It's obvious that they are quite anti-bitcoin, even though it's not a flat out ban from the government right now.

However, we don't know what's necessarily going to happen in the future in India regarding bitcoin. Obviously, we would like to see as bitcoin enthusiasts for the RBI restrictions on Indian banks regarding dealing with bitcoins to be lifted, however, that's not guaranteed to happen nor is it likely to happen in my view.

I remember that the government of India was looking at a high tax on bitcoin, but at least it would be legalized. Since they are indeed talking about this as an option, we can't rule out that possibility. However, excessive taxing hardly "helps" bitcoin in India or businesses to grow. Honestly, all governments should be trying to attract bitcoin related businesses into their countries right now using this opportunity, instead of trying to repel them.

Even if the government tried to ban Bitcoin in India it wont have much effect on its adoption, as people will still have the options like LocalBitcoins where they can buy and sell bitcoins for cash. Also eventually all the world governments will have to accept Bitcoin as it will be too big to ban it just like that.

It isn’t a secret that Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has never been a big fan of Cryptocurrencies. In the past, the central bank has given fair warnings against investing in the likes of Bitcoin due to its high volatility and speculative nature.
Even then though, the number of crypto-investors continued growing in the country.
However, the latest RBI announcement on Bitcoin can be a
major blow for the entire community in India.

According to sources I read India became a revolutionary state of Bitcoin because of the lack of their banking infrastructure. Based on nominal GDP, which is about $ 2.5 trillion, India is the seventh largest economy in the world. therefore India is considered the right place for Bitcoin adoption because of the public attitudes toward their current financial system.

It is also less likely that the country will bring its own cryptocurrency. With regards to the Blockchain, India can’t be overlooked. It is an incredible nation with more than a billion people who recently experienced demonetisation. That is the time that numerous Indians started capitalizing their cash in Bitcoin and proceed to owe them now. Then they state and call bitcoins as the “next big thing since the internet and computing ". Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies may not be much of a threat to fiat currencies today in India.

From my perception, if bitcoin is implemented in India then it would be a very important factor for bitcoin development in South Asia. If bitcoin is legalised in India then many more countries of South Asia along with India will take part in the action. They may not have embraced the power of cryptocurrency yet, but eventually they will & it can be beneficial for the economic development of the country.

I have found a unique and very accurate system of forecasts at the cost of cryptocurrency. Cryptics - a blockchain-based cryptocurrency exchange rate aggregator fully reliant on neural networks and AI for building market predictions based on real-time data. So, now it becomes possible to trade with the help of artificial intelligence. That platform was developed by a strong team - main participants are PhD in mathematics and computer science, as well as former employees of Intel, Alcatel, Nokia, NEC, and SAP. That allows Cryptics to make trustworthy predictions with 70% accuracy.

If Indian Government banned crypto-currency then you will not be able to encash your crypto-currency in INR. But you can hold your crypto-currency in your personal wallet. No Government can take your crypto-currency from your block-chain based wallet. You can hold your coin as long as you want.
As per latest news, Government of India don’t want to ban crypto-currency. They only want to regulate the Black money involved. So, they are trying to legalize it and thinking to apply some special tax in it.

There are many possibilities in India for crypto currencies to grow. The base of crypto users is very strong in India and many people are trying to get into it.
Recently government also published rough draft in the assembly that bitcoin and other crypto currencies must be taxed with 28% rate and this statement can be taken as conclusive proof that India might be planning on to give the status of legal tender for the bitcoin in the coming days. Otherwise they would have never made draft like that where statements are being made that bitcoin should be taxed and they have value for that too. May be soon India will transform the crypto acceptance in the country.

Even though the government has clearly mentioned that they are willing to eliminate the usage of cryptocurrencies within the country, I don't think that current government will take any decision as of now because elections are coming in the next year and government will not take any risk at this stage in my opinion. We should expect any decision from the next government (most likely it will be the same), on the other hand, domestic exchanges, are preparing for the deadline given by the Reserve Bank of India. Still, users will be able to use banking channels for cryptocurrency to fiat and vice versa trading through the platforms like Localbitcoins.

On the one hand, people who want to trade with Bitcoin simply ... will trade. All bans can be bypassed using P2P platforms with end-to-end encryption. On the other hand, India has great potential. Bitcoin's popularity in India is rising rapidly, and the government, thanks to Bitcoin, can save many billion dollars a year. Legalization would help the bitcoin price.

Coming to the Future of Bitcoin and Cryptocurrency, there are thousands of way to cash out the money invested and no matter what measures the Government take you can easily buy, sell and trade in btc.

Other such options : You can invest in Shares and Mutual funds in india via demat account if you want to follow the RBI guidelines.

People in India already don't trust banks or their government, so why would it matter if bitcoin is "banned"?

We cover a lot of the anonymous exchanges people in India can buy bitcoin and altcoins (https://www.cryptogamblingsites.com/country-guides/india-crypto-currency/) at currently.

Even if it is "banned" people in India can buy cryptos because the government banning bitcoin in one country doesn't change the fact people already own crypto in these countries. People from other countries will also sell it to people in countries where it is "banned" so India's government just has to deal with it.

Even if the "forbidden" people in India can buy passwords because the government forbids bitcoins in a country that does not change the fact that they are encrypted in these countries. I believe everything is good and bad so this happens with bitcoin and electronic money just because many of these countries do not allow their citizens to use this happening to the government of India. This just because of this does not allow people to use this but in the near future it will be good for them and they will allow India to be one of the largest software companies in the world in the software industry.

according to this link - https://coinsutra.com/future-of-bitcoin-cryptocurrency-india/
India will be left behind some steps from other countries. One of the commission officials said that they would not ban electronic money and would treat electronic money as a commodity.

as statement of RBI recently - "In view of the associated risks, it has been decided that, with immediate effect, entities regulated by RBI shall not deal with or provide services to any individual or business entities dealing with or settling VCs. Regulated entities which already provide such services shall exit the relationship within a specified time. A circular in this regard is being issued separately.”

There is a great chance that bitcoin could go all over the world of business market by doing transaction of payments system and promote economic growth and social responsibility by means a capitalize country otherwise all of this would only an expectation and become a dreams because as long as the digital investment system could not be legalized and regulate to operate all over the globe.

I think all the residents of India must be aware of the notice dated 03/94/2018 regarding bitcoin that the use of crypto currencies in India will be completely ban so all the bitcoin users are requested that they kindly withdraw all their money that they has invested into bitcoin within 3 months and then after 3 months in July they has banned all the crypto currencies from India but still there are assumptions that there could be some amendments in this notice and once again crypto could be legalised in India 🇮🇳.

Although the government is constantly warning about the risks of investing in the money market, most Indian people remain optimistic about the future of cryptocurrency. As in India, 7% of Americans recognize that they own Bitcoins or other electronic currencies. However, the people of India are far more optimistic, with 68 percent believing that most people will use cryptanalysis over the next decade, while only 45 percent of Americans surveyed share the same view. and this number is 47% for the Russians. The Indonesians have the strongest belief with 74% higher than the average figure of 69%. Japan ranked third with 66%, while the British were skeptics with 44%.

I saw information that Indian government is considering launching its own cryptocurrency and that the executive director of the Reserve Bank of India at a recent conference stressed that the agency is not planning to consider Bitcoin as the national cryptocurrency. Officials are not sure about the reliability of Bitcoin as a currency, and reports about the use of digital coins for money laundering and terrorist financing cast a shadow on the reputation of the first cryptocurrency. Bitcoin is also viewed with suspicion because it is not regulated within the framework of the monetary policy of the government of any country, and its price is subject to considerable fluctuations. So I think everything will be limited to the launch of its cryptocurrency. And as for me, these are worthy decisions at the level of the government, while other states are not at all ready to accept cryptocurrency ...  ;)

Your opinion is correct that crypto is a potential helper that can develop the economy. But the Indian government sees another perspective, where bitcoin's weaknesses can be misused to damage the Indian economy, because anonymous crypto money has vulnerabilities to be used by criminals. Indeed, users in India are not punished, but access to using crypto is closed.

I also believe that the future of bitcoin in India will not work well because, as you say, India is really a place where there are so many criminals, there are so many rebellions and protests every year, and with such a scale, if India let bitcoin freely operate in their own country, driminals will use it to buy weapons and money laundering, which will create a real chaos. I also feel that if Bitcoin will grow well in India but return to the Bitcoin condition. No people in this world can stop bitcoin, it is here to stay and the digital currency is the future. The sooner the governments all over the world realize it the better for them. Cryptocurrency can be very beneficial for the economy for a country, so the governments don't want to miss this opportunity.
the Indian government must have started analyzing bitcoin, they think about the profit and loss if the state legalizes bitcoin, but we can predict that not too long the Indian government will facilitate the krypto traders, see a very fast world trade and crypto progress that cannot be prevented, then the Indian government must follow the flow of reform in the payment system, and must begin to open up to crypto.

Those in India may need to leave the country and make investments offshore in places like Dubai (https://www.smartbitcoininvestments.com/buy-bitcoin-in-dubai/) or the United Kingdom. Even though it is somewhat restricted I think India can make great strides in improving its usage around the world.

Right now hearing is delayed (again!) to jan 15, 2019. We can expect more delays and I assume they will take negative stance.

This is kinda sad, especially for the Indians that are looking forward to fully engage in cryptocurrencies since the Government would finally take their final decision, but the problem is that the hearing is always being moved to another date, though I wish they would realize that having BTC in their country is a big help, India is a country that people are heavily relying on technology and I think that with Bitcoin being introduced there then the citizens of India would also take this as an advantage since they are very good at handling technology.

Sad to see what happened in India today, seeing that bitcoin was widely adopted there but eventually the government banned it. Just hope the government will review this bitcoin so that it can be used again reliably.
