I will literally put 95% of my entire fiat savings in Bitcoin if so. I am however realistic enough to know that we are probably not even going to see anything below the $5000 mark, so how viable is dreaming of $1000 then?

Bitcoin was shown 1:1 with these bubble charts even when it was worth just $500 a pop, so how many more times will people keep rehashing this? Bitcoin isn't a traditional asset, and not a company.

Bitcoin is the representation of how the regular economy keeps failing. The more the regular economy implodes, the more Bitcoin's 'bubble' grows in size. In other words, Bitcoin grows because of how the system fails.

And ETH will go back to one dollar, when its bubble began.

No one knows this whether it is going to happen or not. But I am not agree with you because it happens in market when BTC is down. I think you don't have idea about the power of BTC. Have you noticed that whole crypto market is down now a days just because of decline in BTC. It has happened so many times at least you can check the market trend of last 12 months if not more. Every time BTC is representative of crypto market, if BTC is down whole market is down if BTC is good then whole market will be good...So don't worry, wait for few days second part of the year will be fine.

$1000 means a redux of 2011.....certainly possible. but assuming it will happen?! beyond foolish. this long sideways on the daily looks like a recipe for a measured move to 2017 supports in the $2500-$3000 range. i'm not betting on any lower than that; the odds are too low.

i'd say there is a 5-10% chance of $1000 happening, at most. but yeah, it's a possibility.

If the price of the bitcoin decrease like that I think I will not be warned because if that happen I have opportunity or chances to buy more bitcoin with very low price and the price will increase fastly because many prople would buy bitcoin becaude they want to earn more profit too.

The proper conclusion to a bubble is not a rise at the end but a pop to the bubble which means all structure and economy is lost completely and unrecoverable.  The protocol being compromised would be the fitting pair to that graph or price outcome.

The big note that should be added is price varies by the currency used in exchange.   Dollar has a massive depreciating cycle to its value also, that inversely makes massive falls in BTC far less likely while dollar also is losing value.  Always consider both sides to a price exchange, dollar will not stay level in value

Bitcoin isn't just gonna sink away just because you experienced your first crash and don't realize this has all happened before and it'll all happen again. Bitcoin may very well continue to slowly slide down for a few more months, maybe even hitting $5000. But then again its also highly possible we've seen the bottom of the market and it'll be above $10k at some point this summer. $1000 is just absurd. Can you even imagine the buy support in the low thousands haha. I mean everyone who bought in during all of 2017 would be buying back in. No selling in the world could bring it down that far. Plus you'd have whales throwing everything they have at it if it sank below $5000. Lot of FUD people out there trying to make people selling during the down market, but please nobody for a second take this guy serious, he's a joke.

basically when you are hit with the reality that there is a ginormous supply of ethereum around and you are hit in the face with the 100 billion or possibly 150 billion by that time you will dump your bags as everyone else before you have been doing on a much higher price. and the real crash will come. not to mention that pump and dump altcoins like ETH will always be replaced by another pump and dump shitcoin which means money will exit to that new coin.

Bitcoin will not dropped on that level again, there might be a pattern in the past but bitcoin is quiet different because the price can easily soar high. We just need a strong news to prevent this thing to happen but I think if bitcoin hit $1000 again the whole market will collapse and some chip coins may not survive.

You have your speculation of your own, I do have speculation on my own. I will still continue to put my trust and continue to hold off my coins, I still believe in the great potential of it.
Might the price be high or low, you can still get profit out of the volatility plus bitcoin has quite the advantages over fiat which can attract more investors, increasing the demand, reducing the supply and increasing the value. That is not that impossible for bitcoin to actually go higher than all time high less $20k again.

As others have pointed out, it will be a perfect opportunity to re-stock our stash will multiple bitcoins BTC again. LOL. Everyone has the right to their own opinion, but this seems to me more like a FUD so some weak hands can decide to start selling. Warning is good only if there is convincing evidence that something could happen, but let's wait another few months and see how the situation will develop.

Bitcoin doesn't break through previous main bottoms, the charts provide all the proof to back that up.

Another factor you don't seem to understand is that the retail investors only follow what the whales of this world do. It's always whales act first, retail investors second. If we look at the intensity of the panic back in February, then it's safe to say that if it was an actual retail investor driven dump, we would plummet back to $3000'ish levels, but we didn't. If you look at the charts, the massive correction stopped exactly a few hundred bucks above the previous main bottom.

People don't pay attention to bottoms, but the whales moving the market do. ;)

I think that your earning has no strong backup to surport your point that Bitcoin market value will decline as low as $1,200 which i don't believe that Bitcoin will ever decline to such amount in the next few years to come.

I am actually looking at $0.5, not just one dollar. I totally dig all that you wrote and I sure understand the value last year hit a bubbled state, but calling some amount as to where bitcoin or Ethereum will end up reaching is total B.S.

I agree that bitcoin is still probably on its way down and we haven't seen the bottom just yet, but there is simply nothing that would suggest bitcoin will drop below $1k at any time during this bear market. There would simply be so many people trying to stock up on cheap coins at that point, if it does happen.

It's important to note that the adoption numbers for bitcoin is drastically increasing every time there is a bull market, and that's the reason why that we actually haven't seen bitcoin drop to or below its price at the start of the bull market during a bear market. Instead, every time there is a bear market, prices bottom out at a level that is around double the starting price. $3-4k as a bottom is reasonable, but $1k simply is not.

yeah, if i see a waterfall through the last support area before the 2017 bubble ($2500-ish), i'm gonna have bids staggered throughout $950-$1250. that's one knife that's worth catching. probably the last chance to buy the dip ---like 2015 sub-$200. ;)

While the chances of that happening are very low, that is only bad news if you invested all your money in bitcoin and that was money you could not afford to lose, for everyone else that will be good news since we will be able to buy bitcoin for cheap once again and it will be possible that we will get massive profits once again once the price skyrockets, right now it seems the time of great profits seems to be behind us because even if bitcoin reached its previous all time high you will only come close to triple your money.

I personally don't agree with what you said OP cause the graph you provided doesn't give enough proof that the bitcoin will definitely dump to the $1.2K price range which Bitcoin was before the increased traffic. Besides, I don't see any reason for that to happen cause a lot of banking sectors are now working with cryptocurrency exchange in other to make Bitcoin and altcoin better.

This graph is old too. Bitcoins price chart no longer looks even close to that other chart, there has been a lot of sideways movement. This picture was made when BTC was around $13k or something like that.

There's so many predictions but still bitcoin is on 7k price i think much better to enjoy what bitcoin price have if the price go down then buy more and if the price goes up buy more too. To be honest I wan't to see a higher price but if things like you've said will happen and so what? It's an oppurtunity to buy more at a cheaper price, isn't it? For me, price won't go low as $1000. I don't know how to read graph but I knew the graph was not correct because a kind of person that forecast bitcoin price using the fundamental knowledge and news skills and base on my knowledge the dip mention can't occur. If bitcoin does drop to $1000, which probably won't happen, then I think that most people here would know that it would be a signal for accumulation. Prices at that level is simply way too cheap to not buy at, in my opinion.

There is nothing that would say that your graph on the bottom is applicable to bitcoin, in 2018. In fact, throughout bitcoin's history, I don't think that we've seen a bear market that has ended with a price less than or equal to that of the start of the run up. Every single time, prices have consolidated above that figure.

We will probably adjust a bit more from the $7k mark, but I don't see BTC losing 95% of its value from the peak during this dump.

Another FUD again, bitcoin will not drop at $1000 price, if the price of bitcoin will drop $7,000 below it will rise up again because that price is cheap for investors so many will buy bitcoin at cheap price.

In a way, you sure do have a point and in a way, your point was over stated. The market is in a B.S state but there is no point spelling doomsday, and if $1000 indeed ends up happening, how fun do you think that is going to be for a lot of people to pop into the market and see how they can benefit in it for the long term.

I actually do not care if the market drops lower than that. Get used to it, everything is bound to correct, and that happens in every market, so making bitcoin sound like the main idea is for it to keep moving up, and now because it is in a downtrend, you are giving $1000 theory, then you must be mistaken.

The price wont go that low, that is correct but there is still the chance the price goes lower than its current price in the next months, that will be the perfect opportunity for a long term holder to get all the cheap bitcoin he can while taking very few risks, eventually all the people that sell their bitcoin at that time will realize the terrible mistake they have made but it will be too late by then, this is why holding is my favorite strategy you get all the rewards and you reduce the risks of losing money.

I like the determination and how the mind set of other people works like this, there are a lot of people who are trading in the market that is selling their coins immediately because they are afraid for its price to drop but they did not think to invest even more because the price is very low.

Actually I agree with your point of view. I think in the middle of this month Bitcoin will continue is downtrend. I also think that it can crash to the level between $ 1K and $ 3K.

In terms of predicting and speculating what will happened to bitcoin, I really removed the graph as part of the main things to be considered. Yes it can be act as guide or source but hey graph? Seriously?

Bitcoin price fluctuates too much and in just one move of a big whales, they can shake up the market. No way chart can predict that.

As always, we have different way in speculating price movement. If everyone believes on graph then so be it, but for me I really don't. Im here in crypto for years and earned massive profits since the beginning but still not taking graph as main criteria for speculating.

One (technical) chart says that bitcoin will start booming again and the correction is over. Another chart is showing that bitcoin is in a bubble and will drop massively. A third chart will prove that the price will be moving sideways for the next couple of months.

Let’s focus on this kind of news because bitcoin can really hit that price and make a new all time high. I can’t still believe that someone is thinking for bitcoin to be dump at $1k level again, despite of the current trend with bitcoin I really believe $1k is impossible for bitcoin to crash like that.

Even I, who is sure in strong bear trend, think that bitcoin will never reach 1K. The lowest level possible for my opinion is 2-2.5K.

I learned nothing is impossible in cryptocurrency but altcoins will die first when that happens and majority will crash and burn and it will be total chaos...but then because it's a goldrush in the making people with good money will simply accumulate more. And I think it will do something good in cryptoworld, only the best and strongest and project with real use case will survive.

Don't let yourself get used to empty predictions. It seems to be a hype where everyone feels the need to outbid other predictions by expecting even higher levels before the end of the year, but it's all nonsense.

What we see happen is that most of these predictions are being lowered after a while, all to make sure they will be closer to the reality with their predictions. So called experts don't know more or less than we do.

The market does the opposite of what people think it will do. Once all these predictions slow down an lower themselves significantly, the market will move up. That's the way it works here.

If this will happen it could be the best time to buy my bitcoin at the price of $1k and those altcoins will also suffer with this downfall. Oh let just wait what will the market be in the coming days as I'm hoping that the market will recover easily.

I will not pray for this to happen and bitcoin fall to $1,200 will be it end.  I have seeing many of this negative predictions and analysis but one thing that I have agreed is that many investors buy they bitcoin over $10,000 and it will be difficult for them to sell below $10,000 therefore I agree that they will not allow bitcoin to fall to $5,000.

BTC is produced in a continuous way so the question isn't about investors selling at low. The question is about people buying the btc produced...

For myself I'l keep investing in btc especially if the price goes around the 5k but you have to get enough people to still have faith in the currency otherwise you never stabilize your price

I dont think so, if bitcoin drops to $1,000  i guess eth will not go back to one dollar but i will only decrease its price but not like that too low. And when bitcoin will be a bubble i think eth is the one who will replace bitcoin.

I don't think it will take long before we reach that state. I noticed a subtle shift towards the bearish side in the last weeks, and if the market stays where it is, the bearish sentiment will grow stronger due to how noobs lose faith. People need to lose their believe in that damned $20,000 level. Currently too many of them believe we will revist these levels these year, and that needs to stop. There isn't even any ground for believe in that fake high.

I think a brief visit below $7000 is enough to do it. It's all fine as long as the price remains $6500 which I think it will. Current levels might even be on the higher side, but whales intentionally don't dump below past bottoms.

After all these years on crypto these kind of charts i have seen already back in the past which same as you said even it was still on low price people do still have these kind of speculations basing on their own technicals and fundamentals which are always correlating with traditional stocks,forex markets which supposed to be entirely different. In any angle i dont see a reason why its really being compared off. If $1k would happen then ill buy lots of bitcoin for sure and there would be no hesitation with that.

Most of the investor will invest to the bitcoin once they see the price decrease at $1000 because if you are trader once the price decrease with that price the best thing you do is to buy more bitcoin to get more profit. But not all time you need to buy when the price decrease because maybe you will lose your money once the price decrease more also maybe you wait to decrease more or half invest and half for dumping price.

Of course there is a of falling, but it will fall to $ 1000 ?.. If something like this happens, we're all ignorant. this affects the CryptoCurrency market very badly. destroys trust.or  it completely ends.

This is a huge problem, the charts can be made to say anything, in a way this is no different than divination techniques in which a gypsy tells you your future through tarot cards, cards that can have any meaning the reader wants, I have say it before but it is necessary to repeat it, if you are a long term holder whether the price will move up or down or not move at all in the short term is irrelevant, we know that in the long term the price of bitcoin has an upward trajectory.

Nope, I think bitcoin price is stabilizing at around 6000 dollars. In my opinion it will be between 5500-7000 dollars and stay there for years. I hope it can pump hard though.
