Not sure exactly how it panned out.
Aside from that there was an article by coindesk about a pilot program that was tested in a recent sierre leone election, TESTED, not used. key word there. hopefully as blockchain tech grows there will be more apparent use cases and utility. I think blockchain can become a financial haven for people from corruprt countries where local leftist dictators are printing money uncontrollably whereby causing hyperinflation as it was in Zimbabwe. Maybe the first one should be the banking system, then education and health. Recently, an ICO company has tested the use of blockchain in the efficient distribution of fertilizer in Nigeria. Bitcoin been a decentralized financial system is going to remove this dependence of Africa countries on dollars. I think African is going to have the greatest beneficiary if cryptocurrencies can be early adopted by them.
