Title: PCI-E powered risers by SATA? Post by: Silvano on January 31, 2014, 11:36:18 PM Hi all
i'm building a new rig and i've to decide which psu to buy now i have some doubts i have 5 sapphire HD7950, they are undervolted at 0.968V for a expected consumption about 140w each, and the expected total consumption is about 750w including MOBO and CPU. i'm looking for PSU "be quiet! Powerzone 1000w modular 80+ bronze", that is a very good deal, unfortunately, PSU has 10 connectors including PCI-E and Molex, it remain uncovered the 5 connections to the risers. (HD 7950 has 2x6pin connectors) 1st query: need to connect risers to power? 2nd query: if yes, is it possible to connect risers to the sata plugs by an adapter? what advise me to do? PS: i will order next monday. Title: Re: PCI-E powered risers by SATA?
