What exchanges? To send funds to an exchange, it's up to you how much gas you use, check https://ethgasstation.info/ (for ETH) current gas for estimated speed.
21000 gas should work fine if you are sending to a wallet.
if you are sending to a contract, you might need a higher amount, so what exchanges? If you mean decentralized exchanges, for example with forkdelta I think you'd still be fine with 21000(?)

I'm still figuring things out so I don't know what exchanges yet. Thanks for the info and the link. Will check it out.

First I recommend you to use descentralized exchanges such as kyber network/etherdelta. Your funds are safer than one centralised exchange plus that you have a big advantage that to receive your funds faster .
If you want a really fast transaction set the gwei price at 10 ( fast ~2m transaction confirmation ) . For more informations you can check : https://ethgasstation.info/

You can choose a custom gas price and gas limit to transfer or trade tokens on decentralized exchanges. The gas price and the gas limit will change the transaction time. If you choose the high amount of gas price and gas limit, the transaction will go fast. If you want to calculate your time and transaction fee, please visit this site and check out https://ethgasstation.info/

You can check live gas price here: https://ethgasstation.info/
For fast transactions you should get your gas higher than price on https://ethgasstation.info/

It depends on what is the current gas price. You can check gas prices at https://ethgasstation.info. The higher you set gas prices the faster the trx confirmation speed.

If you want to make a token or ethereum transfer you donīt really need a lot. I would buy 5$ or 10$ of ethereum and that will cover around 20 very quick transactions or more.

The exception is if you plan to use decentralized exchanges, because you will need gas to put orders and move to wallets, etc... In that case I suggest that you get at least 20 USD of ethereum, just to be on the safe side.

it depends on the amount of token that you are going to send to the exchanger, and you have to set the gwei amount so the gas amount will be low.

If you wants to know correct gas price you can search Google. As far as i know gas price depends on the supply position.

You can pick a custom gas cost and gas farthest point to exchange or exchange tokens on decentralized trades. The gas cost as far as possible will change the exchange time. In the event that you pick the high measure of gas cost and gas constrain, the exchange will go quick. On the off chance that you need to compute your opportunity and exchange charge, you can go to website.

Well, it depends on many factors. Firstly, it depends mainly on the amount of token you are intending to buy. Then check the current gas price.

Different exchanges charges different prices to execute transactions. The best pace yo get your transaction fee idea is at  ethgasstation. The ddex  aree cheaper and you can set custom  gas to execute your transactions

Thank you for sharing useful information. Sometimes I transfer tokens on exchanges, but I do not know how much to adjust GAS. I will try to use your site. Hope I will save some money

DEX or centralized exchangers do have default settings when it comes to gas amount but if you are on a hurry you can always make an option to increase or decrease it depending on your need on how fast you do like for it to be confirmed.

Thanks for all the info guys. Appreciate it.
Seems like you do get the things or answers you do seek which its would be ideal to close up this thread to prevent further replies.
