Title: Giving Merits to his/her alts.
Post by: ArkiCrypto on June 09, 2018, 12:48:29 PM
Good day Everyone!

I just one to ask for help about this person giving his/her own account a merit as well as joining a certain bounty with his/her alt accounts (2-3 accounts). Well I'm not yet sure about this if this is his/her accounts however I have some evidences that will strengthen that It his/her alt accounts.

The Accused User: "AlehandroTheGreat" : https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=881702

Evidence:
- Just look who gave them merit.
- Date Registered (But one of them is not but look at the post that is merited.)
- All these alts are enrolled in our bounty campaign.

Accused Alts:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1429019
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1829309
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1429051

I would like to ask helps for those people in here (Even though you're not DT-members) to give negative feedback/trust to this users that is abusing the true purpose of the merit as well as abusing the different campaigns by enrolling all of them to 1 bounty campaign. If you wouldn't mind you can check my another thread for those users who are abusing the bounty campaigns: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4420870.msg39412731#msg39412731

Sincerely,
ArkiCrypto

Most of the problems of this forum comes from sig/bounty campaigns, if we are not going to disable signatures sitewide, we could at least disable them for certain low ranks.

joining a certain bounty with his/her altcoins
You should fix this to read "alt accounts", as it's confusing as written.

Most of the problems of this forum comes from sig/bounty campaigns, if we are not going to disable signatures sitewide, we could at least disable them for certain low ranks.
I agree with this, but I highly doubt anything useful is going to be done to limit noobie access to sig campaigns.  It brings too much traffic and money to the forum.  Dolts like the one pointed out above are likely abusing the merit system, but Theymos doesn't even want these fucks tagged by DT for doing so.  It'll all work out in the end, the argument goes--and I'm hoping it does.

Yeah, there's a lot of people here found different fraud related but most of these days I observed that most of them didn't received a tag from DT-members or to higher rank members, well I think they realized that these peoples will just going to create a new accounts again and again.

In other words these kind of scenario will never gonna end. Well yes it's hard to stop this kind of fraud well even though I can send them negative trust It will not gonna pop out into their profiles since I'm not a DT-member and my rank is not yet high, well if I can have a chance... I'm gonna give my full effort to tag these kind of peoples that spread spams here in the forum.

You did a great work by reporting these cases, we need more embers like you.

What I have observed is that number of these cases being reported has reduced over the last few days ? Is it because number of such abuse cases has reduced now ?

No I've stopped 1 month ago since almost noone is tagging the abusers, but a lot of abusers are still doing the same shit, as said above https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=2896910.260 almost noone of this thread is tagged even if they were reported months ago.
