Are the scratches in the 7-8o'clock position on the capsule or coin?

Looks like someone washed the top half and didn't wipe off the water  :P

Almost a perfect fit for the "Ugly Cas" collection  :D

I will take some additional pictures for you. The condition is "decent" definitely not a flawless coin, but with a 2013 brass it doesn't really matter (either way a small premium).

Here is another picture of it. It does have some patina on it and some very small scratches. If I had to guess grade wise I would say maybe MS-65 (obviously it could be way different knowing ANACS). The patina doesn't hurt the grade, but the small scratches would.

Don't consider any other fork (at this time) other than Bcash, which places the coin value at 1.138. The others are essentially dead/dying very quickly.

Not trying to derail, but I fully agree with this. I'll pay the BCH premium, but not BTG - by the time I ever peeled this, if that was to happen, I suspect BTG would be long time no love.

Insane that these coins can sell for below actual value... I have never witnessed such an irrational market.

Bcash will likely be ~nothing, too. There have been airdrops, which have given >5% of BTC value and even went to ~nothing due to network problems etc.. So if you're not going to peel now, bcash etc. don't add much value. For the seller, seller could just peel and sell airdrops to get at least X amount of BTC. So no point to sell for less than X. Of course peeling and airdrop dumping is extra work and carries risks, too.

It's not likely that the seller or the buyer is going to peel this coin. If you believe that Bcash will likely be nothing to, then this coin is already fetching a decent premium.  8)

If peeling value is over paid value, it "makes sense" to peel for instant profit. That ruins the coin, though...

Obviously, but as said that is not likely the case. There are more people that would rather bid on it and not peel it than vice versa. Why would someone in their right mind ruin it for 0.0x profit? :D

Cause it makes their other Casascius coins more valuable, and they already have an impressive collection.  8)
Buy them all, and start destroying them. Then auction the last 2 in existence.

These guys are just lucky I don't have the spare coin at the moment.

What you are talking about is a fantasy-utopia-collector scenario that won't happen. The prices would become ridiculous as the number of unpeeled coins per series was converging to zero. Heck, some people would probably not part with them for any (reasonable) amount.

These guys are just lucky I don't have the spare coin at the moment.
Watch out, mr. bill is lurking. ::)

I wouldn't exactly call it a utopia, because then I definitely wouldn't be able to get my hands on one. I'm already counting my pennies and hoping for a BTC price drop for an easy snag. There are almost certainly dozens of people with multiple coins that wouldn't part with their them. I was being quite facetious with that plan.

Watch out, mr. bill is lurking. ::)

Please, mr. bill was my father. Call me gator.

Isn't a peeled cas brass worth between 0.03-0.04 btc

It is, hence why you shouldn't specify the auction end at such a time. Would have gladly bid, but passed out long before the ending time. ::)

Been ending my auctions at that same time for 5 years now... Sometimes you just have bad luck. I do have another one I will sell, but not at that price.

I am taking a loss on this coin and it might be the first time that’s happened for me with a Casascius coin.

If Blazed would like to sell his other one at 1.2 he has first dibs as this is his event.

If not, I am happy to pass on to you at my net 1.2 btc if we can work out logistics.  My plan is to have the coin sent to minerjones as I have location issues.  If Blazed doesn't want to sell you his other at 1.2 shoot me a PM and we can sort details.

Cheers!

Or I could just take both.

Just send it to the MantisCave and we can sort it out then.

This is where physical coins loaded before the bcash fork that command lower premiums gets wierd.  Yeah with all the forks this sold under peel, but for me it got a .15 premium, when i buy loaded coins i dont consider forks because ultimately i think they will all be worth dust.  And since peeling for a .03 insta profit is just dumb.  Been tough for me to buy loaded coins since this fork nonsense since sellers understandably dont want to sell for less than what they can peel for.  For me its an impasse...  :(  Either way nice score LC

I have another 2013 single not graded, a couple of brass halves, 2011 error graded, 2013 silver/gilt MS-69, and some Titans. I would sell that other brass single for 1.21111111 if you like.
