Title: My old account still hacked... :(
Post by: PUFFSdev on June 10, 2018, 03:32:54 PM
last year i discovered that my previous account had been hacked and that the perpetrator had simply changed the account email to keep me outl that account, which had Hero member status, is STILL being used. ive made requests to get access to it back more than once and havent had ANY support here on bitcointalk from mods. the account in question... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=541917 has been using the Hero Status i gained over several years working on SOILcoin and others. this new person posts in arabic, whereas im a white guy from canada who can barely speak french. how do i get my account back, or at least, stop this person from using my name and reputation to enrich himself through sig campaigns?

Did you follow these instructions to recover your account? Recovering hacked accounts or accounts with lost passwords (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=497545.0)

Do like explained above and post the signed message here so a DT member can neg trust your hacked account. This would prevent the hacker from using your account to earn money while you recover it.

Looks like the hacker is a "clean hacker" that leaves no trace. I think your account got hacked around September 18, 2018 to October 18, 2018. There is a 1 month gap between your last post that is associated with "GayMoney"  and the time where the hacker started to post in Arabic. I've investigated your hacked account and searched for these social media accounts and the hackers eth address

Twitter: https://twitter.com/CryptocoinBank
Facebook : https://www.facebook.com/koramajingo
Eth address: 0xe0aeE6ec41c7732609c8f5F7D4F81f931E602F7E

But there are no other accounts associated. Looks like these accounts are newly created accounts and use for bounties. This hacker is totally clean BUT I've found something else.

The hacker has this post back in January 23, 2018

Where there is a facebook account associated but it seems like the account is now deactivated or maybe deleted.

This is the Facebook account link: https://facebook.com/mohamed.s1na

I will look for more info.

is STILL being used

You should start with a negative trust from yourself and from a DT on that account until the things get settled.
Else you may end up with the account back, but with whatever debts or scams (and trust feedback on them) the hacker is attempting from your account.

Good idea, a DT should give that account a Negative Trust temporarily so that Bounties and other campaigns will not accept him. Because it seems like the account was used to earn money from bounties.

Before we do that, we need proof from the owner that the account is his, via a signed message.

Shit, that's right... I sent out the bat signal to a couple DT members to tag the account... But yeah, before you do that, let's also assume that I didn't send those messages until OP has proven that the account actually belongs to him...  :-X

My bad lol

Hey, look what I've found. Back in November 19, 2017 the hacker applied to a bounty campaign using this address 0x40963a1fe49E68D7c48690054B6deF7691F7DfB9

I tried to search any associated accounts with this address and I've found this Sr. Member account who used the same address.

Account: Ging
Profile link: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=483689

And they both (The hacker and Ging) can speak in Arabic. The problem if, how if the hacker just used Ging's address so that the account will be suspicious. But doesn't make sense.

Before we do that, we need proof from the owner that the account is his, via a signed message.
Yes Sir, of course. But once its confirmed. We can use these evidences against the real account of the hacker :)

Too bad Sir  :D

Well, everything's up to the OP now.
