Different airdrop and giveaway have their own requirement.  Some of the airdrop need own wallet address. In this case you need to download their wallet and provide your wallet address. In other case they ask your Erc20 wallet address, you need to provide erc20 compatible wallet address. You can try use MyEtherWalle address in this situation

To receive your new airdrop tokens, you should ADD them to your wallet.
Step 1:  find Add TOKEN/ Add Custom Token button.
Step 2: fill contract information, Token Symbol and Decimals
after save the Token detail, then tokens will be added to the list of tokens.
You can check them in your balance now.

Just to add on to what baobao2000 said, if you are going to choose myetherwallet, it is strongly recommended you utilize the metamask browser addon to reduce your chances of being phished.

I join in some airdrops, but theres no information about the airdrop giveaway or on the site about adding token and contract info, they just want my eth wallet.Maybe the info will be given after ICO?

Yes, otherwise they cannot be displayed. You do not know if you have received a token.

You should be careful while doing many airdrops, you should never put your private key in any form and you should also bookmark Myetherwallet website to avoid phishing sites that some airdrops may refer you to.

You need to look closely at the requirements, using an ethereal wallet or neo, or Bitcoin, so you need a variety of addresses to receive different airdrops.

Yes and there are instructions from the token developers itself on how you would that, info's will come from them on how you would add their token to your MEW wallet.

At some the cases, there is no information about how to add tokens since it was way common now to others. The information you will see at most of the cases is about when is the distribution period.

Now if you joined an ERC20 tokens airdrop (the one that required you to give your ETH address to them) and you are aware of the time of distribution or just excited to see your set of tokens list etc. just check your address at etherscan.io or ethplorer. In that way, you don't need to log to your MEW when checking your token list especially if you are expecting an airdrop.

*Take note that not all airdrops are ERC20 tokens.

Don't keep waiting to getting paid, do airdrops and participate more as you can. because most of airdrops are scam  ;D

You don't have to add it if you don't want to. All you have to do is input you wallet to ethplorer.io and you will see there your tokens and the dates they are added. Now if you want to see them everything you take a peek at your wallet then that's the time you will have to custom add their contacts in order for them to appear in your wallet.  Also use MetaMask as advised by one buddy here to lessen your chances of getting phished.

first i would create a new unknown myetherwallet. all airdrops come in there. with  https://ethplorer.io/    (https://ethplorer.io/)or  https://etherscan.io/     (https://etherscan.io/) you can see without opening your wallet if token have arrived. just enter your myetherwallet address there and it's very simple.an airdrop does not cost eth. if you should pay 0.05 or 0.005 eth then simply do not participate.that is often scam. otherwise look in my signature. there are 400 token without paying. then you already have the first token in three weeks on your new wallet. good luck in crypto life.
and read, read and read over crypto.day and night !!!!!! otherwise you can make terrible mistakes and lose a lot of money  ;)
and don't confuse the Myetherwallet address with the private key. don't show the private key to anyone and keep it in a very safe place.

Yes, otherwise they cannot be displayed. You do not know if you have received a token.

this can be verified on etherscan. a wallet app is required only to move the tokens.

Most airdrops give instructions on how to do the config. If you don't know, ask in the proper post on this forum or telegram/...

Airdrops might have different requirements but mostly you only need a ethereum wallet with private keys mew is good for that and you give them your ethereum address to receive tokens.

Thanks for your query, most of the cases it's not enough what others mentioned earlier in your post,as one of the main fact is gas in terms of ethereum, one more thing wanna mentioned that try to be involved in legit and promising aidrop only, even the matter is that never share your private key,If some1 asked in airdrop 99% sured it's scam

Airdrops are a great opportunity to earn coins. There are plenty of bounties that do not allow newbie to participate, but airdrops usually do not seem to have such restrictions. This means that as newbie can also get revenue through airdrops, but how to participate in airdrops also requires Accumulate more experience.

Each drop is different. Most drops on Ether wallet. But there are drops in which you need to download and install a wallet of a coin that is distributed.

For airdrops, adhere to the basic rule - never deliver your private (privkey) keys. And also that a relatively small effort is a decent reward. If there are tokens on ethereum blockchain, you can see the list of tokens you own at https://etherscan.io with your wallet address.

only you need to fill your ETH wallet, you can track your wallet in ethplorer to see if the token is in your wallet, if you want to send the token, of course you have to add it in MEW

The bounty area has a lot of information on airdrops, where you can go for airdrops that interest you!
You just need to register the wallet address in the drop message. Your wallet does not require any action. Of course, you must remember your wallet password, key and other related information!

Yes you must add your tokens to your wallet but if you want to sell them you can import your eth wallet and you can find your tokens income
