As topic says is their a way to have a username changed per request? can this be done or would have to start over again and make fresh account. The only reason I ask this is I have another account that is my much older account and was wondering if this can be done to change it. Thanks

No. You are stuck with the username you chose during registration unless you decide to donate to the forum (which is 10 BTC). Your only option is to create a new account and start over or just keep your current username. In my opinion your username doesn't really matter that much.

Well I wanted without the s but its taken and not active since 2017 and I wanted to also update on an old legendary account as am re branding and that account is more less dormant. I know people sell accounts but it holds a lot of history so I doubt ill sell to anyone wanting to buy. Guess gonna have to bite lip n do me rip for 2 years to get back to legendary again. And pff at 10 BTC ill take a  pass on that.

But if you ask theymos nicly maybe he will do it for you,  he recently maybe 6 months ago changed a cam girls username for her.

So what would be your reason to change it? Well 50 btc is much but if someone is a scammer (not pertaining to anyone lol) that would be an advantage if there's an option to change username.

I thought that having a Legendary Rank means you have the option to change your Username. Thats what I know. 50 BTC is so much.

There is no way for you to change your username, why don't you just keep your username cause I think it is already good enough, it will still depend on your post and performance, but like you've said you have another account right? much better to just use your old account.

Changing username is not allowed unless you ask theymos. Changing username is not that too simple, one reason why changing of username is NOT available is because some people can use it to frauds. For example, you used your account to scam a lot of people, then in order to escape from what you've done, you will attempt to just change your username so that whenever they look (search) for your old username, no result will be found unless if you don't delete all of your recent post where your "scamming thing" happened.

Or (no offense OP), Your're one of those people that I mentioned. Really? you want to change your old accounts name just because it is old? Is that a valid reason? Is it enough? or maybe you're hiding something that's why you didn't use your real account to ask this question. See? there are so many risks with just changing our username. That's why this forum doesn't allow changing usernames.

Changing username is not too necessary, quality of posts is the most important of all plus contribution to the forum. And yeah, one more thing Mr. OP, why don't you use your old account instead?

Yeah there's no such thing as "Changing username for free" even Legendary Members have to pay 50BTC for it. It's because there are some risks.

I think "Global Moderator" can do that, too.
You do not need to donate that amount to be able to change the name "Although it's the easiest way," but only provided a lot of useful information to members and actively participated.
Do not expect theymos will change your username for free "Especially after what happened with alia," but some members get it for free.

Most of the replies here mention that username change is not allowed to prevent scams. But if this is being done with the permission of a staff, proper review of new name can be done. In my opinion, this option should be provided to the users especially for higher ranks.

Forum can limit such requests to once per member in an year to prevent misuse of this.

I also intend to change my username and finally I create a new account because it will not be unless you pay

Theymos has changed a few peoples' usernames. I think a user I knew as Izanagi had his name changed (as there is no user under that name anymore).

Also some custom titles have been changed for moderators before now but that's not usernames.
