Post by: Munkovec on February 02, 2014, 05:09:34 PM
Hello my friends!  :)

Im new in this thing (bitcoin mining) and I want to buy these harwares to start mining and receiving bitcoints or whatever else.
So my question number one is ->  what is best to mine with this kind of hardware? (1x Redfurry 2.6gh/s+ 2x ASIC USB USB 336MH/s)
Is it bitcoin (BTC)? or something other like altcoin/dogecoin etc.(couse they are growing all the time)? ???
Then second thing is how mutch I can earn in one day running these 3 devices at the same time? And what about week/month? :-\ ???

I really be thankful for your advice guys!  ::) ;)

At this point its much better to buy bitcoin and hold onto them rather than buying asics that you'll never make your money back on.

Just one more thing. Red Furys are really cheap and overclock quite nice to stable 3ghs. I run 14 red furies (2.9 - 3.1 ghs) and bought them for about 80 euro a piece. Current prices for red furies are 65 euro in a shop in Germany.

Will you make money on them? Probably not. But if you like to get into mining buy a stick or two and keep the network going.

You can really only mine bitcoin with the devices you mentioned above.

Red/blue fury and USB336 won't mine altcoins, with the exception of a few alts that you would 'merge mine' with bitcoin if you wanted them (some are in my sig - below).

But if you like to get into mining buy a stick or two and keep the network going.

If you are interested in the network, then you will need a full client (bitcoin-qt) and port 8333 TCP forwarded/uPNP'd to the outside world, without this you are not helping the network. To further benefit the network mine on a p2pool if you have enough hash rate, eg eligius (http://eligius.st/~gateway/) or p2pool.in by forrestv (http://p2pool.in/).

This topic explains the Hashers vs Miners problem. Hashers are not miners, and Bitcoin network doesn't need them. (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=411099.0)

1. best to mine??? nothing! to weak to mine btc and not worth of mining other sha-256 crypto becouse btc is most profitable among them!
2. you can't mine doge with asic-s or any other scrypt coin!
3. you can't earn anything with that!

advice??? unless you have enough money to buy at least 200GH asic there is no poit for you to even start!
also keep in mind that usb mining sticks are history!

what the fuck are you talking about???
"Red/blue fury and USB336 won't mine altcoins"
???????
Really??
???????

let me explain something for you!

BTC is BTC!!!!
All the rest = altcoins!!!
they are sha-256 altcoins or scrypt altcoins!
you get it???
altcoin is every coin that isn't bitcoin!

so, sure they can mine other altcoins like PPC or TTC or FRC but there is no point since btc is most profitable.

It's http://www.protact.net/shop/usb-miner/12/red-fury-usb-bitcoin-miner?c=15 (http://www.protact.net/shop/usb-miner/12/red-fury-usb-bitcoin-miner?c=15). I has VAT included. So if you like me do not live in Germany it is 54,54 Euro per Red Fury if you take 3 or more. You can contact them via Mail info@protact.net because in their shop there is no option to switch to English.

I bought all but one Red Fury miner from them. Far better service than buyahash or technobit.
