The Crypto World has Witnessed a lot of Ups and Downs (Mostly "Downs" Though) this year 2018. Now we are at a point where most investors percieve to be the best time to invest in Cryptocurrency, but unfortunately the dip has only worsened.

This has left a lot to ponder and a lot of people are starting to ask the question "Is this the end of Cryptocurrency?; especially BITCOIN".

Really? People can see everyone dumping their holdings, some people can see all the miners switching off their hardware and walking away. Are we going to see everyone in japan for example totally abandoning crypto after being so positive about it?

No, of course not, there is simply too much development and investment gone into this.

This is just another opportunity to fortify the portfolio.

On the contrary actually, "this is the beginning of cryptocurrency" but because this space is still young it means that it is still widely immature and swayed easily by outside forces. The dips are further worsened by traders who've placed sell orders for when btc drops to certain price points to protect their profits only to buy again when it reaches the bottom. I've heard Tone Vays recently say that he does see bitcoin dropping all the way down to $4K and possibly even further. Other than that I wouldn't really know as I don't speculate especially not in the short term, I just Hodl.

Nothing is impossible. Some even predict that the price of bitcoin will be less than 3000 dollars. We should remain calm in such a market.

You know this is not the end of cryptocurrency, that just proper thing when the price little bit down, there will be a time the price will up again, that is cryptocurrency world. The price of bitcoin decrease because there was a mining program that easier to get the stake, that's why the price of bitcoin going down, but it will be recovered as fast as possible.

Now you can not say anything, there are a lot of events and news, which is bad for the crypto currency market as a whole. Bitcoin needs assets, on the basis of which it will be possible to build and continue to work with such a price.

Generally, price in any market depends on supply and demand.
People are very emotional beings and they usually decide based on emotions after reading some articles, or when they hear some rumors etc. not based on rational thinking.
So, it's fact that we had many bad news about bitcoin and crypto recently and it seems many people are in ''panic mode'' selling everything.
It's hard to stay what may happen until the end of year.

The crypto-currency market is badly affected by the news that comes from global politics and business: if before the advertising policy of Facebook had a negative impact, which prohibited advertising of crypto-currency and ICO, as well as sharply negative assessment of bitcoin by the Ministry of Finance of India, influenced the drop of bitcoin, then China on the blocking of websites related to trade in crypto-currencies.

This year bitcoin price was at the bottom on around $6200. And i think that was the most bottom point.
And until now, bitcoin price has never dropping below that point. For me 2018 is not the end of cryptocurrency.
It just a correction from last year. look at 2019 later.

If Bitcoin does fall below $5000 it will likely fall to $3000 or lower. I do not foresee this happening right now, there is still too much outside interest in Bitcoin and a lot of the smart money will be accumulating now and waiting for the turn around in price. I think 6k could be the bottom and be tested many times this year.

i disagree. all the "good" investors know that it is the worst time to invest in cryptocurrencies because first of all bitcoin is going down so cryptocurrencies are going down harder and also with all the altcoin dumps you should never catch a falling knife!
additionally the situation has not "worsened" it was bad all along when they were pumping all these shitcoins but you didn't notice it only because you were caught up in the hype of the pump.

What are you talking about, BTC is trading at $6800 right now and it has been for a day or two. Realistically speaking, the markets could definitely further dump down to $5k. I actually hope they do, that would be a great discount! Capitulation could still happen.

I’m agree with you but not 100% you are right we saw ups & downs in bitcoin value (mostly downs)
But nothing is impossible it can go 10K instead of 5K.
Mostly dumps are caused by some fake & bad news about bitcoin which made panic among holders of bitcoin & they started selling bitcoin in bulk & value depends on supply & demand.
It’s really hard to predict about bitcoin but hope we will see bitcoin at high value at the end of 2018.

When everyone is fearful and believing in half of the fake news engineered by big whales to shake out week hands, then yeah expect it to drop all the way down. Unless people in the market change their perceptions on what they want and just follow the whales and dump right into their mouths, or new capital injections from big money come in, then yeah we are going to see a Bitcoin depression, a bitter winter, but it will not stop. The Pandora's box is open now and blockchain applications are sprouting up everywhere. We are likened to the first wave of people who invested in the dot com boom, just wait and hold as we have really just started. This industry is less than ten years old.

How many similar threads there are? How many times we wrote don`t worry, don`t panic, but first drop and newbies start to make such threads with questions is it the end?!
I think someone should put a ban on creating this kind of topics, someone to delete them when ever they appear. We wrote same things when ever bitcoin drops, and bitcoin goes up and down all the time, many times we see rise for 1,000$ and in the evening drop for 1,000$.
Who have money is buying in this dips, who doesn`t have money cry about bitcoin end again and again.

I think most people always seeing the phenomenon of late 2017 and the early 2018 where crypto space was mooning, but if current price is compared to same month of last year I think it is still fine. Now Bitcoin price is around USD 7000. It is still bigger even if down to $ 5.000.

All I can say right now is that the market price is down and people are panicking to see the market going down, it's a natural thing when people prefer to cut lost compared to holding back until prices improve.

I think it is far from the end of the line. Bitcoin price is down but still trade volume is quite high. We can't expect for it to fall down just like that. As long investor will still hold and trust BTC then cryptocurrency will survive. Panic selling is not the answer that is why we holders need to cooperate to save cryptocurrency from falling.

Let them sell their BTC, if they sell it because of panic then it's an advantage for us because we can buy BTC with cheap price

Actually, we never know exactly up to how it can be decrease to it's value and we can see this until that day will come.  Most of us now are really felt nervous because of it's long run of dump. However, some of us trying to be calm and only thinking that dump will end and pump will be occur again.

It is the end of their Bitcoin. Obviously they are selling Bitcoins like pancakes which is why there is an oversupply of Bitcoin. Once the demand starts exceeding the supply there will be an upswing.

Yes, crypto is going down. The market is not good at all these days. Since the start of the year, I had only witness red lights in MEW and that is really boring. Not to even talk of bitcoin. It is not making any move. It is really true that people manipulate the market for their own good. How I wish I was a whale in the crypto business.

Bitcoin price can never be stable but volatile. The market is speculative in nature and the value will keep alternating. It is possible that it might go under 5K and also may not hit that level and reverse. Bitcoin is decentralized and only react according to the market sentiments. We can't rule out the possibility of bitcoin dropping below $5000. As the market has been dropping continuously over the past few months, it is very much possible.

I think this is only a long dump. It is wise not to depend your decisions from your emotions otherwise you will only do panic selling. Bitcoin is only testing those who are truly worthy of possessing such an enormous number of wealth by testing their patience. i don't think this is not the end of cryptocurrency,this is a one massive correction.in 2017 the interest in bitcoin came as a big wave and go away in end part of 2017.that is the main reason for this massive drop.in 2017 lot of newbies invested on bitcoin and with the new regulations and China incident that newbies sell their share of bitcoin.we called it as a panic selling.because of that bitcoin go for more massive correction.according to my view bitcoin should be around 7500-10000$ in this period.after some time it will go higher than that according to demand.

Its highly impossible to go down that much with all the support we have at different levels. If it goes to that point then most of the altcoins will bleed too hard and may die because of the market value.

I don't think already that it will be the fall of bitcoin, for this situation is normal in crypto currencies. They go up and down and we could not predict it. Though we experience these things, we still get benefits in using crypto currencies and even though we think that prices would not be higher than before, we need to stay patient in times like these.

In the summer, the market fell. But I think that in the autumn the market will recover again. The market is falling all the time and is being restored again several times.

It my mind it is not completely out of the question, if we look at the NASDAQ after the Bubble bursted, they had a deeper dump percentage wise than BTC has had right now.

it's def not the end but we are in a bear market (keep in mind a bear market lasts on average 10 months) we still didn't breakout i still expect it to go down though i mean there are still more people longing it at this level than shorting it . i think we're close to reversal but not quite there yet in a few months maybe.

I don't think btc's price would become less $5000.  BTC's community support i believe is still huge and continues to grow. I cannot fathom its going to be that low. This period of lows for bitcoin and other alts is an opportunity for new investors and not to be seen as  btc's downfall as such.

No, This is not the end of Bitcoin. We might see a dip further below, but I am sure bull market will follow next. It is the market pattern. The issue with crypto market is it is too much sensitive to the news. Recent FUD on some exchanges cause this dip and in the positive side price will increase as well when some FOMO comes in. Below 6K Bitcoin will not, because, according to experts, the production of 1 BTC costs about 6K, Probably 6.5K minimum, at which you need to buy.

In my own opinion, it won't go less than $5,000. I believe that bitcoin lowest price in 2018 is around $6,000, because of community support and also it's still popular in other countries even though it's banned in other countries too. It cannot go down $5,000 if we help bitcoin, and if we help bitcoin it will recover continually.

If you pay attention what is happening with in around crypto you would know that there is many more opportunity now with many people being aware of it and jumping in and buying alts. I think the downward tread in Bitcoin prices is just temporary. Look at the historical price action data for Bitcoin and you will see that this current tread is just normal. It has to do with regulations, hacking of exchanges, FUD and people who does not have a speck of knowledge about investing/trading getting into this field to become millionaires in a short time. I believe all these are contributing to the price of Bitcoins. But there will be a break out soon and we will see a bull market.

Of course not. Bitcoin will not easily die because of dips. The dips are just a cycle to the life of cryptocurrency. Let's just look at it as an opportunity to gain some profits. Even though no one can predict on what will happen. I believe that it will recover again. It might not be today. Or next week. Or next month. So be patient and hold your bitcoins.

Bitcoin price has been dropped below expecting, which is very bad in the crypto market industrial, where other alt-coin are affected by dropping down, therefore bitcoin need to wake up from sleep, because coin market are seriously on red.

Maybe this is a situation we do not want, we must be sure that bitcoin will rise again. This is a great time to buy bitcoin to make a profit. I believe that in the next few months bitcoin will sped.

There is an equal probability that bitcoin would increase in value this year or it would drop to the ground. I think bitcoin will not touch 5k because if it will then we are at the super serious scarcity of bitcoin. There is a chance but I don't believe that it will come up with that price. Actually we are at the middle of the year 2018 so we should expect that there are new price hike of bitcoin seem with altcoins. Another season of price increase will be seen in the market place. since the rise in bitcoin prices by the end of 2018, many new people become investors on bitcoin without understanding about the bitcoin. they don't know how big the risk will be. they're just chasing after fast. but it's not like they want. fluctuating the current bitcoin price drops its value. and many new investors regret it. and consider this the end bitcoin. i only understand a bit about bitcoin but i have bitcoin trust going back at high price. so this is their choice. if not able to hold, immediately sell and take your risk. don't be sad when prices rise high.

Well this is what those people have been saying last february when bitcoin touched 6k but then they went quiet after the 9k recovery. And now here they are again with the gloomy predictions of how it's the end of crypto. I don't think these people understand much about this market and yeah, getting to as low as 5k is possible but it's not the end at all and recovery is certain

Don't be discouraged, Bitcoin is still in recovery mode. As of this writing, the price of Bitcoin is at $6,551.77 although it has made a minimal 1.20 percent recovery at the moment, let's hope it pumps more until it reaches $7000 mark by tomorrow.

We can't say that it might not go low as that, since no has the ability how to accurately predict. The pricw is all dependent on wether holder will choose to Hold for longer period of time. Just as the price might go lower than 5K, it might also go higher than 15K. The price is unpredictable, lets be hopeful that many will choose to stay.

At least take some more efforts to tell us why is that so? Why do you think it will go that low anyway. Im against your statement and completely believe that it will start recovering itself as soon as it hit the lowest price around 6000 USD. In fact it has already reacted to the market and started to recover itself but that looks to me completely temporary one. There will come another down surge but will be only couple of hundreds below the current rates of 6.5 K USD. I cant imagine bitcoin going that low because this is the best time for most of the whales to jump right into the bitcoin and push the market ahead.

I think I've heard Nada Vays recently said that he saw bitcoin down to $ 4K and maybe even further. Besides that I will not really know because I do not speculate especially not in the short term, I'm just Hodl.
The real opposite is, "this is the beginning of cryptocurrency" but because this space is still young it means that it is still immature widespread and easily wavered by outside forces. The further decline is exacerbated by traders who have placed a sell order when btc drops to a certain price point to protect their profit just to buy again when it reaches the bottom.

No. I don't think so. The value of bitcoin can't go below 5k$ at least it's my thoughts. The value is flactuating. It's getting down and down but that doesn't mean that it will go below 5k$. If you see the price range of bitcoin for the last few years then you will see that the price is on an average upward. So be clam and be patient.

I think it is a minimal problem for this project, but investors don't lose hope, there is a chance that it will grow later.

We can expect the sudden decreased of the price of bitcoin because it is normal, there is a probability that it can hit the 5 000 dollar price but I am sure that 3 months from now we can experience the increase of the price of bitcoin so just calmdown and wait.

It started with 5usd, so those who invested before has still earned. A lot of users today invested at a high price and as bitcoin drops down with the past few months they became wary. It's normal though, specially if you had invested money you can't afford to lose right?

If you don't believe in bitcoin, you won't wait to see that bitcoin will be accepted by majority of stores as a transaction currency and will soon be valuable because of its function.

I would be selfish by saying dump your bitcoin and surely prices will come down too, but a lot would be happy as bitcoin's market price continues to drop.

There are too many fake predictions everywhere trying to tell the next price of bitcoin. You have to be very cautious not to follow some of these predictions because they may likely lead to panic sales and dumping.

I don’t think it is the end of cryptocurrency nor Bitcoin just because the price is dropping. I even heard it might drop to maybe at least $2k and correct its price again so that big investors can join in and buy digital currencies at a very low and cheap price. And of course itnis possible since these cryptocurrencies have been slowly known worldwide.

Anythng is possible in crypto market.Bitcoin can go up to moon and fall down easily because of its volatility. That is cryptocurrency  but i think it will not fall down to $5000. Try to invest on LEDU COIN while the price is very low,Who knows this will be the next bitcoin.

I always ask. Why do people say "this is the end of the cryptocurrency". And these words are said when the Bitcoin Price is really falling. I do not believe that this price drop is the end of everything. Because I think this is a decline that ever happened, but Bitcoin got up again.

This may happen because the market is currently very bad. But I will continue to buy when the market goes down. I believe this market will recover soon.

Well expect further decrease in bitcoin's price but if you are willing to risk it then you should invest because this is the best time and trust me when I say this. When it comes back it is going to strike a new peak that will give you more than what you invested. This is just my take in it because all of the investment has its own risks to be taken but you choose where you will get higher.

I think it is going below $5,000 at least once and going to stay there for few months. As there hasn't been a flash crash which brings blood on the streets. Also Bitcoin mostly doesn't corrects completely without it. I think it should hover around $3000 for some time before heading upwards.

Bitcoin going below $5k is highly unlikely the possibility. Bitcoin has gone as lower as $5900 this year and Bitcoin has again touched $6000 and reverted back. If some coin tests the same floor many times, this shows that it is quite a strong floor and further dump isn't much expected. Going below $5k will create a panic situation which can cost all the market manipulators (usually whales) a great deal and they would never going to take trends to such a direction.

There's quite enough reason for that. And I believe that it might happen. MIGHT, it means that it can happen, or it cannot happen. It depends. Let's just hope it will go up. That's what we want right?

It won't be profitable for miners to continue mining, if the price is less then 5k, so this is the main reason why I think that this is unlikely to happen. Actually, we need a price to stay higher than 8,5k to make mining profitable, but with less then 5k it will be, in fact, a negaive business.

Absolutely I agree. If it falls below 5k, it will be snowing for those who mining. We can come up with a very bad scenario for bitcoin so it can not afford it. But I do not give a chance to this point.

Anything is possible in our current market. I believe that the big mining investors will do everything in their being to keep it above 5k. Otherwise their investment will be hurting. Even if it's not immediately profitable, the mines will still run. For when BTC bounces back, the trickle of BTC will have added up.

It will be good not to give bitcoin chance fall that much to try to hold your bitcoin in your wallet for long term and don’t sell your bitcoin at panic, we should keep on holding our bitcoin even at the lowest price, it takes a lot of money to be a miner so better to earn fast and high but expansive it is good to invest and holding at the lowest price of 5k dollar.

Yes there is chance to go bellow $5000 range, but the price will not stay that price, after reached that lever bitcoin price will go up and to the moon, may this will be last to view $5000 level in history, current market condition is very bad for bitcoin and crypto currency.Next year the price will be reached $15k level, I think current price is best time to buy.

Daily BTC did manage -after four closes in the 2-3 Std Dev bands (strong selling pressure) to work it's way back up into the 1-2 Std Dev Bands (normal sell pressure). The test of Daily resistance @ 6600 failed. this is the expected normal action providing us a chance to cover shorts in the bottom of  the lower 2-3BB channel and reset them higher in the current 1-2 BB channel. I'm sure to sound like a broken record but will repeat, the Daily & Weekly are below the Zero line on the MACD and below the 50 SMA. This is "Bearish." As such I expect prices to continue to work lower.Until we work our way out of the selling channels. I'd watch 5800-6000 level for a bounce. There is some Weekly support in 6140-6340 range. There are a lot of anxious buyers and plenty of $ on the sidelines waiting for things to turn, I wouldn't try to predict events here, but my bias would expect a few more weeks downs.

Yes it is even possible for the price to decrease too much, even below 5000$ but i think that there are very little chances, because bitcoin price is already getting a very strong support from their investors and they are not letting bitcoin price to drop from 5000$. which will then create a big problem for the investors.

I think the bitcoin price can and would be a chance kess than $ 5000, but this is a good and lucrative opportunity because we can buy at a cheap price and immediately get a high RoI, and usually after the price drop too deep then the price immediately skyrocketed.

if FUD strikes you, youll can really ask yourself if this is the end of bitcoin specially when you bought it and still holding it, but if youre going to look back few years bitcoin is still gaining in the long run, so i guess this FUD really affect only to those new comers in cryptos :)

btc has so many times experienced worse situations than this and if we consider the fact that the price of it was 6k before January and we expected for it to remain on that level the current prices seems not too dip to me.

Everything indeed is a possible in crypto but I am hoping it will not go down further to $5000. In case it will touch to $5k more investors will grab this chance to invest more. If price decrease it will increase eventually.

Despite the fact that cryptocurrency price is unpredictable and it has experience a lot of price fluctuation compared to what  investors and the entire community was expecting does not warrant us to give on bitcoin. Like you said already, I believe this is an opportunity for those who don't have bitcoin and other valuable coins to get them to their wallet easily because for sure many will regret not buying now.

I doubt it will reach such price cause bitcoin are getting strong today and even crisis happen still can manage to face such challenge. In fact, a lot of dips happen but still on the race, it is been tested and shows greatness which we can rely these as a form of investment with less possibility of losing.

Today the market of cryptocurrency seems to be at a level of recovery. Based on this I believe that the price will continue to grow along with other altcoins which contribute to the market capital of the entire cryptocurrency. Even now we cannot provide assurance, but the possibilities to go low to $5000 has decreased.

I hope it wouldn't hit less than $5,000 I don't have some extra money to buy ,
But if it hits below that I think it would only be a matter of time before it gets high again ,
I think people or investors wouldn't let it stay down there if it ever happens.

One cannot say it is the end of bitcoin nor crypto currency but a great avenue for people to invest and expect hug return on their investment in the nearest future since there are strong speculation that bitcoin value will still appreciate well before end of this year.
