Title: Calling All Merchants!
Post by: rnavarro on September 18, 2011, 01:56:21 PM
Hello Merchants,

Thanks for stopping in to read this  ;D

I'm currently coding up an application that aims to make it easy for merchants to accept Bitcoins as a form of payment. I anticipate releasing it for a public alpha in the next week or so depending on how the stars align.

So! My question for all you merchants out there. What features are you looking for in a payment processor? Whether it is from the geeky programming side or the more business oriented cash-flow monitoring side, I'd like to know what you want.

I'm thinking subscriptions would be a great feature to add, still working out the logistics for this one.

The app currently has a WHMCS payment module that works great. What other popular carts would you like integration for?  ???

Comments/Questions are highly encouraged!

Prestashop, OpenCart, zencart, oscommerce.

oscommerce is in the works.  ;)

Given my limited man power I'd like to focus on the more popular carts first, so the speed at which I finish payment gateways depends on the popularity of said cart.

Will your payment modules for shopping carts accept payment from the regular Bitcoin client or only from other persons who have accounts on your service?

Both

If you have an account with us you can pay directly from your account, if not then we'll give you an address to send the funds to for that particular transaction.

Anyone have any other ideas/suggestions?  ???

As a merchant, is there anything in particular that you're looking for in a payment processor? Feature-wise or what not?
