Title: Disappearing forum posts
Post by: waterjag85 on June 12, 2018, 02:55:48 PM
Are my posts so out-of-topic that moderators clean them up? Or, has A.I. got monkeys talking at typewriters to erase my messages becoming obsolete?

Mods have others things to do than follow your post on your main account, so

- Users are reporting with https://puu.sh/ADVz8/ed0e804251.pngyour posts for spam/or others "bad" things
- Mods deleted threads where you posted, and all your messages are gone with the thread.

Expanding on coinlocket$ response;

- You'll receive a message via personal messages if your posts specifically are being deleted by the moderators.
- These aren't always spam megathreads, but could be generally low quality discussions/questions. In this case you won't receive a message via personal messages.

Depending on whether you've received a personal message depends on whether you'll need to alter your posting habits to prevent further action being taken. Generally, I would advise not to contribute to low quality posts, and just report them for such.

Try to select which topic you post in, don't post in possible spam megathreads (use search to understand how the forum works, and read a lot, that will help understanding why your posts are gone).
Also, your question has been answered, please lock the topic, don't to let the spammers post here to increase their post count...

Well like the above users said, it depends weather you're getting notified via personal messages or they're  not to be seen in your previous posts.If the answer is later, the threads they were posted in were moved to trashcan and you can't view them anymore. (Doesn't matter how good were the posts)
If you're getting personal messages then it's obvious you're shit-posting.

It will happen to every low quality poster or out of topic post. This will be the message sent by the mods to notify you when they delete the post. https://i.imgur.com/gxFGblg.jpg

If you get notifications that your posts are "out of topic" you should reconsider the threads where you've been posting. Posts I made in Politics and Society were constantly deleted. Apparently, that section and others like the off topic section are being spammed. There is nothing new to add to the comments over there, tens of thousands of them...lol

Just so you know, where you post has nothing to do with your post(s) being deleted. Your posts were constantly deleted because of the shitty quality of your posts, or that they were off-topic or unsubstantial. Having given your post history a brief scan, it looks as if most of your posts are generic and repetitive of what others have already stated in the thread; therefore, you're posts are unsubstantial. Your posts that were deleted because they were off topic (or "out of topic", as you say) were because they were off topic, not because they were posted in a specific topic...

I thought I'd just point this out so other users don't think their post will be deleted by a moderator simply because they post in a specific board.
