I agree, everything is really cheap right now. I would invest in the big established coins(top 20 in coinmarketcap) because when the market recovers, these will be the coins that will grow back in value for sure.

These dips will continue to happen time and time again, it's not the end of the world, better to keep some BTC spare for when these dips happen.

I agree that this is the best time to buy as the price is low and I am think of buy more stable altcoin and hold them long term so as to earn reasonable profit by the time I decide to sell because the price would have multiplied.

It's always a good idea to refill but step by step, price might go down even more so don't refill at once.

I have bought some Dragonchain, because I also believe that they can hit a bigger exchange like Binance. With the volume I think that they can hit a better price.

I'm still waiting to see if the prices go down a bit more. Current prices look good but I think we're still far from reaching the bottom. I'm waiting to see if XMR will go to the 0.017-0.016 sat, if the coin was already undervalued prior to the dip, then at those price ranges it's a bargain. I'm also looking at NEO, currently at 0.006 sat, if it goes down to around 0.005 sat then I'll definitely get some more.

i disagree because first of all the money from newbies has fled the market and it is still fleeing the market. there are a lot of wounded newbies who are still waiting for a small breeze to dump their bags and leave too. in this scenario you won't be gaining any decent profit from anything you buy because there are no more newbies to put their money in and help the pumps.
also i don't see any signs of dumps slowing down. all i see is more dumps on the horizons. for months i have been saying altcoins are in bubbles but nobody listened and now we are seeing the market wide dump which is also fucking with bitcoin prices too!

Yes, such a decline may be a chance to buy. I also bought some tokens that I think are good, such as FT!

While it is sad the impact it will have on new investors, we don't really need more panic type people in the market, those who tough it out will see profits soon enough, as for coins dipping, I've got all of my alts open and they've all recovered a little from a bottom, while it could be a calm before the storm, BTC's buy volume has increased a lot just in the last hour and it's price is slowly coming back up.

If BTC hits 6.6k again in the next 5-10 hours I doubt you'll get a better alt buy in price.

NEO is a great buy right now as is ETH, I would go for NEO with the expectations of an easy 10%+ in a few days

Take a look at Ark, they will launch their V2 this week it's one of the biggest update of this year for this project.

Another great recommendation, Ark was pretty undervalued prior to this dip, it's got a great year ahead too.

This dip is really useful in many crypto hunter so this is the best time to invest in cryptocurrency. But currently some NEO investors are afraid in this situation at the same time some peoples are interest to invest in NEO and ETH so as soon as possible these two altcoins are success in future.

This dip is so great and it is a good opportunity to buy  some altcoins with a price of 1 dollar and below. Some and also there are also developing crypto project where there are so cheap to buy today and it will soar high when the crypto market recovery hits the bullish trend of around >300 Billion USD ATH. It's great for those looking to increase their crypto holdings but not those who care about fiat value. Credits is great value right now, mainnet just around the corner and it's at its lowest price ever since being out of ICO. It never went under 2x ICO value until recently, peaking over 5x ICO value just recently.

I bought some Wan and Neo while still prices are low. I hope they will be one of the first coins which rise to their previous ath. But this kind of decrease is scary as well.

This dip will give opportunity to other people and not only for whales. This bear market will allow everybody to buy thier favorite coins in cheap price. Its time to pick the coins which has potential and with a working product.

The coins that I always recommend are waves, stratis, and bytecoin. Because these three coins are considered to be top coins and experts have really good speculation among these coins. But there is still a lot of good coins out there. Another factor is the price of these coins, especially during dip seasons.

I normally take the dips and buy coins that give passive income such as NEO, Bibox  or POS coins.

These are always good longer term holds, as you can keep accumulating more via staking etc and then when there is another bull run, sell off your stakes values for profits and keep the initial lot and repeat.

Most altcoin will adjust based on btc price so that's why most of their value increased but the actual value still same !

Personally, I try to invest on ETH because I fell somehow that it will increase on this down trend zone !

there is no doubt about your view. the down market is always a good opportunity for the newcomers who cant buy at the top market. But you also need to be careful to calculate the recovering time.

It's good buy if you have fiat, however, converting some of your alts or even buying using your stock ethereum and bitcoin also will hurt somehow. No one knows when will the market recover. You're right buddy cause something good usually happen when there's dip in the market ans my own believe is that the dump in price is like a door ones don't know it was left open whereby goodness sneak through it. However, I currently invest in Bitcoin and UBCoin  (https://ubcoin.io/en/) cause the coin looking promising and with the concept I believe the coin have the require utility to survive.

I also like the dip, it is a good time to get some more cheap Bitcoin and Altcoins. I also rebought some Ethereum while this dip an I will buy more if it dips more until we go up again! I have also some other coins like XRP and LTC on my buylist :)

There might be altcoins that are in a bubble but majority of the coins are not in a bubble and the recent market slide is simply because the market used to move according to news and the Coinrail hack is the major reason for the current slump and not because of the bubble you are talking about. I am sure this situation will change in a few days time and the market will recover eventually.

I would gladly invest in any coins at this stage because the market is going through a correction phase but the problem with NEO and ETH is that the market will regulate new projects and when that happens it will restrict the growth of price in a huge way, with regulation there will be fewer projects and it wont help in attaining huge valuations in my opinion.

Key thing to remember is you've not lost unless you sold, none of the recent prices have really been over the top so it'll recover back.

I guess you have to weigh up direction, it's far more likely to go to $8k again vs dipping under $6k, we've had quite a few of these dips now challenging $6k but the support at that level is too strong, each time it's bounced back over $8k

Most coins are in red for weeks. They are dipping. For some this a good time to buy because coins are cheap, but for those who bought those coins at a higher price this is a bad time for them.

Well i agree that most alts are really cheap right now, many have had a 70% retrace since those december highs and yes its a great time to buy into quality coins.

I think any token on the top 20-30 are great buys minus the obvious vaporvare coins.

However its important to stick to quality and not to get to greedy here chasing gains, we are still in the bear phase and if 6k breaks then most alts could probably drop another 50% from here easily. Again why i emphasize sticking to quality  

Well I doubt buying back right now would be a good idea first of all because bitcoin dominance is still quite low. Looking at the past the altcoins should keep on dropping for now and when bitcoin reached dominance of 50-60% then I would buy back into altcoins.

Yeah this can be the great dip ever in history since I joined cryptocurrency, and if we will wait for another stabilization I think its the right time to believe in corrections. No bubble price speculations but its reality in case to case basis, as volatile price movement could take place in different scenarios which could crash the price very fast and also pumps it further.

Look at it this way, 2017 was such a great year because we had all the room in the world to go up, this year was never going to have the same chance.
If this dips and you can increase your total BTC along the way, you're just setting yourself up for good things.

Crypto is still in it's early days, long term it's going to be worth a lot, just remember how much the total market went up in 2017, to think this is a sustainable pace is a bit crazy, for crypto to last it needs to grow at a realistic pace, we will probably continue to see bear periods, bull periods and more bear periods with a gradual increase year by year.

Trading is key to increase your profits, if you can increase your total BTC year by year while the price gradually goes up with large corrections in between, you still come out a big winner.

Selling in a panic = instant loss, people need to get over what 2017 brought in, this is still a better market than stocks, forex etc for weekly profits.

I can't think this dip is a sale for all cryptocurrencies. Best option for me is those good ICO's that aren't yet affected by the dip. For your information this dip is the lowest this year 2018 and there is no money that would/could come in, we're unregulated, whales rekt the plebs, no game to play on. Buy on new coins instead of the promising old ones, it would rekt you.

Yes its always been best to buy on the dip but the thing here is that you do able to point out which is the deepest point? For some coins in the market which do have potential then its worth to buy cheap coins but for PRL? I dont think so that this would be a worthy one but well its your money and its your own decision which coin you would purchase on. However, I don't think that we have reached the bottom, apparently, the price of bitcoin could drop to 5700-5500 and pull down the whole cryptocurrency market, so at 5500 it's possible to buy for sure..

the price is low and everyone keeps saying and suggesting about buying but i dont think that majority of people are buying because if they are really buying at this dip then why the value of all cryptos are still bleeding? im a right? maybe people are still waiting for the value to drop more evenly so that they can afford the coins at a verry low rate.

Every dip gives us a window of opportunity to buy at a much cheaper price. This is like back to the future wherein you will have the chance to get your favorite crypto currencies which you cannot afford previously. I have diversified my funds mostly in master nodes and POS coins. I am currently looking for a good entry point in ETH, ETC, WAVES, DOGE, and LTC.

PRL has taken enough of a hit in the last few months, it's not going much lower if it does and was starting to recover before the dip

Absolutely yes, but you must take advantage of this opportunity before the market returns to the rise. Plus, it is unfortunate that this crisis continued for a long time (sporadically) but it is expected that this issue is temporary and it will end after some period (I guess after a few weeks) and then Bitcoin will back to the big jump, and I expect that it will reach 12K after 1-2 months, and we must optimistic and expect the best. In fact, it is sure that these problems that led to this wide spread crisis will be resolved soon, despite the attacks and bad attempt from the governments.
Furthermore, IMO this is a unique opportunity to buy a large amount of Bitcoin because their current price is very low compared to the last period. and it is certain the profit will be very important you HODL your budget in a long term.

People who panic sell in thia dip is ether an emotional seller or do not know how the market works. In this kind of market trend where every crypto price falls it is much better to either hold your crypto or buy additional coins or tokens to add in your portfolio. The problem of most investors right now is that they have bought their crypto when the price is at its peak and they do not know ehat to do if the price falls.

Ethereum has gone down from a market capital of $63 billion to $48 billion and considering the fact that the coin has the potential to cross the $1500 mark by the end of 2018 which will lead to an increase of 20% in the profits which one will earn from investing in the coin. I believe the best strategy right now is buying and holding our coins till the time comes.

I have been able to size up some of my bags, so I am somewhat happy with it. But in reality I need them higher prices.

Unfortunately, I don't have any fiat to buy more crypto now, as all of my funds are already in crypto. My main source of income is bounty campaigns, so all I get paid I get paid in crypto too. It's a pity to see this dip not because my portfolio gets cheaper, but because my favorite coins get cheaper, and I can't buy some more of them. But if I could, I would choose Lympo (x3,7 scince ICO) and IOST (x2.7 scince ICO even now!)

I completely agree with you that this is the market to be buying good projects, what I see here is the emotional attachment some people have with some project and fail to realised that most of them won't work out, most of these token prices won't rise again but those that do people buying them now are going to make real profit

i totally agreed brother. this dip is something great. it is a very great entry point to reinvest or tap up your current investment. This way you'll be able to maximize the full potential of your investment while all the value is low. As to what to buy i will still be placing my money on the major altcoins like BTC and ETH and other minor currencies.

Yes this is the time for investment. I have bought around 3000 PolicyPol tokens. I have more trust in it.  I am sure by 6 to 12 months I can gain a decent profits with these tokens.  The project  has reached many and still on its positive track though the value has dip bit as like other altcoins. The team is working so good.  EOS as well has much potential now to invest. Go for these if you wish to invest and gain more profits.

The wisest guys use this dip time for the best - they invest in the cryptocurrencies. naturally, if you do not have free money, you cannot do it but try to buy at least cheap good alts like Credits and Gladius.

I'm holding some altcoins too and never think to sell it. Because I think that this year, crypto market will make a big boom.

Even if you don't have the money you can still benefit heavy, I'm nearly 50% up in BTC value just in the last week or so by doing the following:
BTC starts to dip, sell to alts
Let alts bottom out, buy alts
let alts gain 10%+ and sell again
repeat till the cycle corrects.

I got lucky with a few decent wins but even 20% profit is great in this market state, it's easier said than done too, PRL and Dent were my golden eggs during this dip

I remember a couple of months ago thinking NEO was a steal at $44 and it doubled after that. Now it's at $34 or less? The only thing is that you should be prepared to hold any of these for a while as there's no telling how long we mooch around the bottom with no volume.
Having said that, I reckon we will go boom by July. (yeah I know, when July comes I'll say August :) )

The other day, EOS launched the blockchain. Now, I am sure, this altcoin will start growing. I also believe that many of the other cryptos will get out of this dip. I bet Qtum, Ontology, OmiseGO, and Gladius will gain much.

I am never inclined to agree with any of those coins, but for the simple fact that they are so cheap, I guess 1% buys into those for short term gain is a good idea, since coins are just so low now. Watch out though,,, the market could be ready to plunge yet again.

This dip is great because it is great chance to invest in bitcoin and other altcoins. Because the prices are very cheap now. Better you can invest on some good coins and wait for future. I would plan to invest on high potential and promising coins in the coinmarketcap. Pick the top ten coins with good growth in recent days and buy thise coins now and hold it for future. I think it's best to buy altcoins that already have strong foundations or those that are on the top market cap. This coins will surely pump once the market starts another bull-run. This is good if you have a spare capital, however, some investors money are stuck in other altcoins and no money to buy the dip.

I strongly agree that the dip will result in great bargains. PRL is down to $0.20 and has an all time high of $4.88 which can generate such a higher return once main net is launched. Most of the altcoins are in great bargain I suggest go all in on utility tokens such as storage and power. 

The dip is great for people who have fiat for investing. I am really in a though decision right now. I don't have the fiat available, but if I had I have a good list of projects and ICOs to invest in... but I think that after the dip we will see which projects have earned the trust of the people and which have not. Don't get panic about current situation. Once the price of all coins will rise in near future then you can sell instead of holding.  You can more income at that time.

True, only strong coins will remain. There are too many altcoins now wherein most of them are false coins only, these coins make the market to look bad. There are coins who will succeed and regain their status like ethereum and these are the coins that should be maintained. Having too many altcoins makes it harder to decide which coin will we invest too. We really have to study and think thoroughly before choosing a coin.

Dip is never good because it goes back and we have panic sellers in the market who on the small dip creates so much havoc that they start to sell and further the market falls badly and it takes so much time for the recovery to start happen. Thus better that dip does not happen for long time .

If the market is $ 200 billion, the peak will be 75% lower. It will take us a long time to see the old days again.

I stick to the easier ones, ETH. Every market dip is an opportunity to some more tokens and wait for market greens.

During the dip we have one business and investment decision to make and that is buying when the price hit the bottom.  Many of us did not follow this simple rules and that is why we are loosing in trading.  If you buy at the right time and sell at the right time there is no way you will not make profits.

Dips are great for getting the coins you might have missed before at a great price, the only problem is that nobody knows when the whole market will reverse. Buying in fractions is the solution.

Market downfall is good only to those people who wants to enter the crypto as they can start to invest at lower prices and they can choose what coins they wanted to invest and then keep holding until the price reach higher than their buying price to get profits. For those people who have been here during the peak of bitcoin at $19k, this downfall is stressful to them as this will take enough time for them to wait until it reach again the peak.

I agree, there are not many like the thread starter that are so enthusiastic about another dip, most of us have already bought the dip in February and see the value of our assets consistently shrinking.

I love your enthusiasm but it all bummed me down when you started talking about PRL. I don't even know what that is. There are better altcoins than investing in this one. Not great, you don't know how much others have lost. You are definitely someone who has not bought a coin. Buying coins is now losing money.

This is a decent opportunity to purchase at the most minimal cost, yet you need to comprehend that the cost will in any case solidify a bit, so you ought not seek after a quick development.

Method is simple, coins that have been dumped very hard recently with a good community and project, put in a buy order very low, decide the low based on it's all time low and factor in market condition a little, watch it during an up run, when it slows sell.

10-20% on most trades doing so... the moment you hit all time low the amount of sellers left are just pure panic types, I feel the risk is less than a coin with tons of holders who purchased under current price and just have to weigh up where they want their profit to be.

If you didn’t get burned earlier and have funds sitting there to be invested then this dip is indeed great, I just notice that most people don‘t really have so many funds left as they got already severly burned. But in case you were able to lock in your profits you look forward to times like that. I think we all need to learn to look at this less emotionally and rather logicallly. Buy the fud, sell the fomo. Not the other way around.

Well if you're that kind of person who sees opportunities in a market like this instead of panicking, it's always best to be a little careful as well especially those alts that at ico value or lower. I mean it can be a lot profitable of course in the long run, but you can never be too careful with all the shitty coins that could end up dead

Yes but not all people see it as a great opportunity for them to buy potential cryptos at a cheaper price. If granted that this dip is going more deeper, that would really a jackpot because it is just very rare to see bitcoin to go down as low as 5,000$. Moreover, this dip would hopefully serve as an eye opener for everyone to not panic but rather make it as an opportunity to buy more.

You should not look at the ICO price of a coin, as some might never reach it (or return back to it). Some might have been overevaluate when
they estimate the price for the ICO. I don't know how they make their estimations, but most of them were wrong as a lot of ICO are now under the ICO price. You should only look at the current Bitcoin price. If you estimate that Bitcoin is not overevalutate, you can buy, else you are taking a big risk.

yes you are right the base price is very good you should be able to take advantage of some coin that decreased the price you should buy coin not in coin PRL saka but some other cryptocurrency which have cheap price.

I think exactly the same. So many bargains at the moment like for example NEO, ADA, LISK, IOTA and DASH. I keep on averaging my buying price. I'm also very bullish about the projects I mentioned and they definately deserve attention.

In every dip there's a corresponding good effect to us and we can maximize that opportunity to increase our funds as we can buy more coins with lower price. Considering that most of the good coins had already lowered by 60% which is a big big discount. Buy wisely and keep holding until the best price will come for a good profits.

Yea.. I had to give up on trying to make quick trades a few months ago. It just wasn't working out. The best thing to do right now is to just buy at this low price and hold until the market recovers. You can't really trust that a coin will even go up 1% over the next few hours.

I think top marketcap coin is the best right now. When everything is cheap, its better to buy good quality coin with big community.
If we spend money in low cap sometime the cheap price can go even cheaper so when high market cap get cheaper, we still have chance to grow or recover and its not like low market cap coin.

Well, i just keep on holding since D-Day in which i cannot imagine anymore my huge losses since Bitcoin price is at $19,800 before. My point is that the dip is great only for those new comers who just new to this investments in which they have the opportunity to buy cheap but more dip will not favor those who buy Crypto at ATH before. Therefore hopefully Crypto price will start to become more expensive soon so that everyone are going to be happy.

Actually the value is not getting down, at least not the intrinsic value. That often increase with time as many projects get new partnerships, launch their main nets or products...and still the prices decline, mostly due to the bear market.

I would try to see it from another perspective...see the bear market as shopping time and do not expect anything to rise. Do not check cmc several times a day, only when you want to invest more and then look for discount..it is marked in dark red.
