Exactly. This is what try to keep telling people when they ask me what to do now.

Crypto is not about today. Today we are sitll young and early tech. When crypto gains more adoption people will see the true value of bitcoin and the prices now will seem like insignificant ants compared to bitcoin and crypto's true potential. Just hold and forget about it for now. Stop looking at the price! Focus on the tech and profits will follow.

Another good idea can by exchanging your funds to USD value which most of the exchange provides in one way or other.
Now, the USD value of bitcoin is $6358.
Wait it to further decrease and when you think it's low enough, buy again.
This way you'll increase your bitcoin holding without increasing your investment.

i totally agree and this time happens one in a million when BTC touching $6000 price. This is a great opportunity for each investors to grab it at its lowest. Anytime soon, BTC will rise and im pretty sure that there are millions out there who are very bullish to grab it. Actually, the idea is very simple. No need to explain it in a more complicated way. If you have Bitcoin and the market is down, do not touch it. Just leave it in your wallet. HODL it. The value of Bitcoin may go down very low but one thing remains for sure, it will definitely go back to the point where it came from and even exceed that. As much as possible, avoid even using it to invest in ICOs or other coins.

Exactly this advice makes sense to me. When people think that Bitcoin is going down that will be a panic time for some people, but when they realize that bitcoins price is for a long term kind of investment they already sold their stocks and regret in the end.

Investment is always a game. Who will win in this game the investor, or the market can only show time. Now the market is low, then it will go up, then down again. The ability to choose a point of entry into the market and have the ability to play in this market, regardless of what trend is now.

I agree with you on this. Sometimes greediness can make us lose that opportunity and profit that we should've been getting. We wanted for more earnings and sooner or later we realized that the moment that we've been waiting for has already come and we just ignored it hoping for more. There some few people that I've known personally regretting that they didn't cash out last year December when btc is at its ATH. I cashed out before that day happened when BTC reached at aroung $15k. I was scared enough to hit the ATH because as what I've learned about crypto values, its very volatile and we can't really tell when is the next dip will happen.

I will seriously not deny this fact. The day people start evaluating there Profit and Loss in BTC or ETH value and come over the sentiment dominance of FIAT, they will be really into Crypto.
Use ALTs only to make more satoshis, dont worry about there FIAT value, it will rise eventually in the future bull runs. During this time of market, all one must worry about is to BTFD and take the opportunity to increase the wealth.

It's a waiting game, true, but nobody has forever. Our time is limited, the market could stay irrational longer than you can stay liquid. So it's okay to cash out with some losses. You can always buy lower or short the market.

Yes, indeed. There's really no need to worry when it comes to these times when the market is red. We can see greater highs after this. This has always been the behavior of bitcoin. But never has it not recovered after a big fall. Panic selling will only result to lowering down the price even more. Just chill, watch for the next bump and we'll be ok.

If rephrase you can use this everywhere.
If you hold a kg of gold, it will be always worth 1000 grams, or 1 USD will always be 100 cents. And so on..

Very true. But we peg btc satoshi value to other projects. Those projects go down in sats, we buy and accumulate more.

I think everyone in this cryptocurrency world also know that 1 BTC is always 100m sts but they don't really care about it, the only thing they care about is price of BTC in USD that why there are so many panic sellers when price of BTC just dropped a little bit. It's really easy to understand but it's not easy to control your emotional ;D

This is very true mate! Actually if the price of bitcoin is in ted there is no need to worry about his price. Remember that when a cryptocurrency is in dip there is a high possibility that the market will grow even higher than the previous price. This is the best time to enter the market, new investors can now easily get in and get a profit.

It is true that the price of Bitcoin is very unstable, one moment its increasing then next it gets really low, sometimes the value of Bitcoin even jumps from top to bottom and vice versa that makes it hard to foresee what will going to happen. But, as what happened through the past years, Bitcoin is continuously moving and recovering from every situation so therefore we shouldn't make decisions impulsively based on what our eyes see. Panic selling may cause us the higher price or profit we should've earn.

That's hitting the nail on the head, but unfortunately it may not really sink in, because of what some people here deem as positivism, but which in reality might be ignorance at work. We known Bitcoin has a history of always bouncing back after a crash, but just like now, the market is irrational and may well remain so longer than many can endure or remain liquid enough to contain the draw down. Unless there's an emergency, there's really no need to cash out when market starts to reverse, instead we can hedge our open positions by buying Tether= USDT and hodling it until price bottoms out and starts to climb again.

I also believe like you that btc will regain the good position in the market but I think, this truth still can not comfort the investors of btc while the price was at $20k before.

Yes, that is it. Every good trader and investor will always trade and invest using satoshi value instead of the dollar value. When investing in altcoins, it is better to always consider the satoshi value, because the satoshi value of bitcoin will always remain the same, while that of altcoins always change.

It's true but some people don't like to pay the waiting game. They prefer to see rises even the modest ones in the bank that go up by 1% per year. In crypto it goes down 50% then goes up 150%, but people can't handle the down period

Yeah i agree with the thread poster, i personally also have similar thoughts about crypto and i have not seen even a single expert that is not optimistic about the future of crypto currencies, so i agree sooner or later we are gonna see new highs for btc.

The golden rule - "don't invest more than you affor yourself to lose" - is ignored by the most market participants. They are all in and if they see this crush they panic so much you can't imagine. Cuz all eggs in one pot. So this happens only thanks to such people

it depends on what tactics you want to choose. but for me holding is still best because i have the patience to wait for a long time. those that panic are always worried about their investment. i am not worried because i invest only what i can afford to lose even if i loss all of my investment.
