- how to setup cards/risers? Which types? How many powered/non powered? USB risers or not? - do I need cooler for CPU? Passive cooling for rig? Small or large ones? Easier to route cables and the mb sees the cards immediately. I would also go with an open case. Richard sells really nice open cases.

Post by: techniquev3 on February 07, 2014, 04:41:05 PM I would have gone with a quad x-fire/sli board, these carry enough power through the PCI-E and the risers wont need to be powered. You might get away with 2x powered and 2x non-powered risers.

But I can't get it to boot, I see splash screen and then its black. I am connecting it to TV via HDMI cable,could this be an issue? My keyboard has green light, and I tried various ports, DEL/F12/F9/F2 before/during/after splashscreen but nothing gets me into boot options. I have USB stick with BAMT on it. It's Feb. so now things may be different. I wouldn't have ordered one through openrigs if I would have known that they would take Forever to ship my unit. But I have issue with GPU as BAMT screen went red and I got message: A fault has been detected on GPU 0. How can I troubleshoot this? And also one quick question, I got R9 270x cards but while BAMT is on it reads: GPUs Detected 0 01:00 0 AMD Radeon R9 200 Series Is that normal? |
