Title: Can one wallet be built to hold many types of coins?

Can this be done?

Can I have one wallet with my btc/ltc/nmc/ppc/ftc/dvc/qrk/wdc ect?

Since many coins use the same ECDSA curve, your private keys should work in any of these "currencies" - they might just hash into different addresses.

So how come nobody has invented a wallet to do this as of yet?

Seems like a no-brainer to me.

Well... there already is a multicoin client that already does this since a long time. ::)
