I doubt it has relevance considering that Bitcoin doesn't directly rely on the aforementioned compromised technology.

You don't think it is relevant to Bitcoin that other methods of payment might have problems that Bitcoin doesn't have?

Websites do, which make up a fundamental staple of the Bitcoin network/community, albeit a sociological / economical staple, and not a technical one.
