Crypto markets continue seeing mixed signals since last Sunday’s market slump, with four out of the top ten coins on CoinMarketCap in the green yesterday, June 17.

Total market capitalization of all cryptocurrencies is holding steady from yesterday’s levels around $280 bln, up from a mid-week low of $264 bln.

Ethereum (ETH) is also hovering near yesterday’s price mark around $500, up about 0.35 percent on the day and trading at around $500 at press time. 

Of the top ten cryptocurrencies on CoinMarketCap IOTA (MIOTA) is down the most over the past 24 hours, down about 2.16 percent and trading at $1.18 at press time.

EOS is down the second most, losing 1.3 percent on the day and trading around $10.58 at press time. The EOS blockchain went live again today after “pausing” due to technical issues yesterday June 16, less than 48 hours after it officially went live.

Binance Coin (BNB) and VeChain  (VEN) have seen the most growth over the past 24 hours among the top 20 coins on CoinMarketCap. Binance Coin is trading at $17.15, seeing roughly 8.4 percent gains on the day, and VeChain is up almost 6 percent, trading at $3.11 at press time.

you can't call it "in the green" when they are having dead cat bounces. for example when the altcoins get dumped hard but recover a tiny bit after their hard drop that is not called a "gain" or "in the green" it is called "dead cat bounce" when the altcoin drops $100 but recovers $10 after it.

also if you want to see real rises (aka pumps) in the market then all you have to do is look. those coins that have been dumped hard enough to reach their bottoms fast are now rising easily but those coins that had slow dumps (like the top altcoins) are still looking forward to more dumps.

We all see that the expenses are covered by a green wave on some top coins. Another thing is when the bull trend finally wins bearish and the green color will be delayed even for a week to see the real figures of all coins. People are tired of investing and not seeing the impact of this.

people are getting overly excited about a tiny rise in the altcoins like this! that is how the whales make profit in short term in these big coins with high liquidity. these rises are more like dead cat bounces instead of a bull market which they are in fact "trapping bulls" and taking their money.

Yes it is harder day by day to believe in cryptocurrencies market recovery because we have seen so long deep. That it is almost takes all of our hope in it. But as saying goes - hope is to die last.

I think its all about the time when every other altcoin and including king the BTC will rise to more than 50% high. Its a fact and it can not be taken down at any point because you know what crypto currencies nature is to evolve itself from the dumps all the time. The history says that all, and if you dont believe in relying on the history then also you can be confident upon how the market works here. Lets not fall for such slightest greens and reds because that shouldn't be our agenda at all. What we need to do is, get over the current dumps and hold the market back by holding our assets in crypto and creating strong support walls. Thats how it works.

I do not think the crypto market is still green. Btc needs to be at least $ 8,000. But the danger still continues. I need to get desperate, but the market needs to get a little more moved.

even btc reaches 8k its trash compare to its all time high i would call it green if it surpass or atleast reaches ATH. i think the price would be atleast 8k now if it wasnt for the dump and hack right now there's so much happening but it will still recover just give it time.
