Which one should I get ?

I've always favoured PS over Xbox, but never been a fanboy. I have no opinion on the Eighth generation consoles as I haven't played on any of them, but I haven't really played console games in years.  I might get one when I get a new TV and there's some games I'd like to play, but neither consoles have many games I'd be interested in playing at the moment though.

should I add the Wii U also ?  ;D

Nobody cares about Wi U haha. Saying that, my bro has one and I would like to play Smash Bros and Mario Kart again when they come out as they are usually quality, but pretty much the only games I care about on that console.

Yup. I have a friend who's sold on Xbox who's always complaining about random stuff, too. It doesn't inspire much confidence!

Although I would not mind if some of the games were to be ported. For example heavy rain, and beyond: two souls. But buying a console only because of those platform exclusive games? Maybe borrow from someone for a week or two, and that's it.

Other that those exclusive games, I see no point in wasting your money on any console whatsoever.

I would go for the PS4, but all depends on which exclusives you want to play.

It's not backwards compatible, but I think they're going to make PS3 games available to download. at some point

You're missing out! There's nothing as acurate as a mouse for shooters and strategies. That's why they don't allow console players compete against PC, each group is limited to their own servers.

Not a big fan of using mice for stuff like shooters, but for strategies they're better.

I do prefer strategy games on the PC, but I also prefer gaming on consoles, but haven't played on either for years.

Console industry is slowing down gaming industry in general

Lots of huge titles have piss-poor graphics, because it's acceptable on consoles and it sells. Dumbing down the UI and gameplay. Dividing users, as there's no real cross-platform multiplayer.

Compare dragon age 1 and dragon age 2 for example. And that's a drop in a sea.

Yeah, PC gaming surpassed the next-gen consoles 2 years before they were released.

I also agree, strategy should be played on pc.... but some other games like sports/adventure is very nice to play on console

PS4 is simply the best of sony and gaming consoles i guess.

Both of them are equal. I like the PC better, though.

PC Gaming + Wii U for life. Also, I see the rivalry being between PS4, Xbox One, and PC. Wii U is more like its own thing.

The only justification for buying a console over a PC for gaming is if you have a lot of money and you think it's worth it to spend $500 just to play a couple of exclusives like Halo or something. Because other than that these consoles are a huge rip off to consumers. People should really speak out against Sony and Microsoft for bringing such inferior products to market. A lot of people don't realise what's going on and they assume that they're getting a quality product.

I'm not too familiar with the PS4, but I stuck with Microsoft due to the pad design. I got the Day One edition; I expected them to drop the Kinect but the price has dropped pretty dramatically.

For me it's all about the pad - there isn't many exclusives these days. If you get Xbox Live Gold then you can get games for free each month (both 360 and One - though different games) on their Games with Gold scheme.
