Because tech nowadays are smarter and more adaptable, we use fewer resources and make better use of what we have -makes sense, right?

I've been doing some reading about virtual and augmented realities and it paints a very exciting future. Apparently, VR can somehow upload the mind into a digital space meaning, humans could totally immerse themselves into the space. This solves that age old question about achieving immortality as well.
