Yes i have lost money not only in the crypto market but also in the other markets that I am trading in but I have not lost a lot of money. There is always a rule that you should follow sell when you hit your stop loss, with this rule you will avoid losing a lot of money.

People like to share their winning stories and forget about losing as far as possible. I've lost a lot of money when I was a newb by putting too much into complete shitcoins.

Of course with the current bear sentiments? I think everyone has lost money lots of money. One factor that really contributed to many investors losing money is greed. I admit that initially I was too greedy and thinking that the price could still go up, even though that all technical indications that its already a bubble waiting to be burst, so I didn't dump but instead continue to hold. Now I can't do anything but to hold it until it started to grow again. I should have sold and take a lot of money back then, but greediness took over me and I began to be totally blind that clouded my decision making.

I too started with a great mind that I could get rich by joining and trying so hard on trading, but in the end I have lost a Huge amount of money from trading but now I am somewhat good in trading and trying to recover all of those loses.

Same here. I did margin trading, too and I lost a lot of money. When we thought that our knowledge in trading is enough, then that is the time we are losing. It's because trading is a risky endeavor especially for us who actually new on this era. Learning is continuous process, thus we have to be alert in some news, fuds in order to cope up with the unexpected loss.

Not acceptable.If you had invested in bitcoin,hold your bitcoin as much time you can.Then surely you will get profit from it.Last year the price of bitcoin will raise some maximum every month.So the investors will get profit based on their investments.But this year,the price is assume to be a stable.Because it reduce further and ,not reduced below certain value.

   If I get out from crypto-currencies in this moment I would be in nice profit. I still
have Bitcoin's that I bought at $2000. I have many tokens now, Ethereum's, Litecoin's
and many others.
   My story didn't change since day one, invest when ever you can, earn if you
can, do what ever needs to be done for making good looking portfolio filled

In this current market condition, most of the people in the crypto industry have lost money. I, myself and some of friends too are also incurring losses but we keep on reinvesting in the coins to position ourselves better because I know we'll be seeing the good days again.

I can honestly say that I've never lost a lot of money with crypto, just because I've never invested any fiat.
I've sold a lot during different ATH's, the one before Mt. Gox went down and the latest one at 20k.

But I'm still holding some coins and looking to re-buy when I see that the market is moving upwards again.

The story now is it's now getting difficult for the ICOs to sell because of the fund in the crypto and also many scams as well. Hoping that the bear market will subside.

I think for ICO its a different story. You need to really take time to study what projects you are going to invest because just like you said, there are a lot of scams out there and they are very hard to detect not unless someone really calls it out. So just be careful. Millions and millions of dollars being bag by those scam ICO's and those legit are now having a difficult time to attract investors because most of them lost a lot that they are now doubting ICO's even if it is legit.

In this bearish market i been loss alot money, i bought some coin on february and till now the price continue down. I dont have any choice ,except only hold that coin. My most bad story is loss about 0.4 BTC just in 1 day because the price of the coin dumped by their developer. But i still have hope so that my loss will be recover soon next year, i believe later crypto market will be change to bullish.

A lot of people are experienced that big lost because of the bear market and most of them are decided to cut their loss. Honestly it's a normal situation for me, up and down but high percent of going up. You don't need to worry about the dropped, just believe that it will grow up again.

Yes in this bearish market iam loss so much money and the biggest loss that i will never forgot it is loss 0.35 BTC just in aday because the coin dumped by their developer and i was invested in fraud coin. This year is very bad situation for crypto market, since 2 years i jumped in to crypto trading, in this year is my biggest loss. Because all crypto going down to much even Ethereum was dumped hard to 85% from the top price. But i believe there are another bull market will be coming soon.

This is true. Those who hasn't lost are those people who are just speculating from behind and as if they are real experts in trading. LMAO.

But if you are going to look closely, those people haven't had any experience in trading. This bear market has really brought majority of us from brink of quitting crypto (at least on my end), however, I just look a the bright side of it and thinking that this is how the early adopters or those who are in the bear season from 2013-2014 and some of them survived up to the last all-time-high and take a lot of profits.

So let us be that person now, lets take this bear season in stride and hope that break out can happen anytime within the remaining months or the start of 2019.

Use margin in crypto trading is one of the mistake for newbie trader, and second mistake is did not use stop loss and greedy. Learning from previous trading mistake , we should be avoid greedy and create better trading plan. Become successfully trader need times and we should be pass alot of thing like loss, stress and others emotional, but by surpass it we will make our self become pro trader later.

The problem with most newbies is that they are always jumpy and in a haste to want to make every single money they can lay their hands on in the shortest possible time. That is not a bad thing, even though it can be a bad approach to trading most of the time but the funny part of it all is that they tend to discard the side of learning as much as they can before even trying out any market at all, whether a spot market or a margin market and that is how they pretty much get burned most of the time.

It is no harm to try out margin trading, as long as you know you can handle yourself, but in the vein of trying to approach the market without knowledge, margin trade can get you done before you even started.

This year has been really rough on all of us, I have been working for bitcoin for years and this year has seen most of my time going to waste.

I have worked and earned bitcoin as long as I remember and this year has been the only year where my money actually shrunk and by the fact that I do not buy my bitcoins but work for it, this new devaluation has seen many of my hours spent working has gone to zero because I have lost all that earned money into devaluation at the prices.

When you work and save up thousands of dollars and it drops 20% it means that 20% is the time you spent working but never got paid for. This is a big big part of bitcoin and why there is no interest in it anymore. I am a fundamental believer and no matter how much I lose I won't be going out completely keeping some of it in but it just shows why we are here where we are.

I think more than 50% of crypto trader loss money from crypto trading because all crypto was long down trend since January. I loss more than 50% and I keep waiting for next bull market to recover that loss,  and while doing day trading. I learned much thing from this bearish market,  and I will make better strategy to avoid so much loss.

The crypto space is awash with many of such stories. A lot of people have lost quite a lot of money to this bears season and the only advise most times is to hodl. Again, in hodling, ensure the coin you're hodling has a future. Shitcoins have no future and can become completely valueless with time. If you have any of those, do not hesitate to sell them off.

Looking at your profile, being a Hero Member, and having spent at least, give or take, roughly 4 years in this space (based on account registration since 2014), then, I thought you should know better.

Sure, there is no doubt this space must have been rough for some, but for old members, and which I believe throughout last year you should have made more than enough in profit, even before 2017, to still be making a whole lot right now in the market even at the current dip.

I always see myself as the luckiest person here and I didn’t wish to stop being the luckiest person lol. I have been trying Hodl’ing ever since I got into this market and things have been going the way I expect it to and I have been able to make a lot of money and also do a little cryptocurrency trading which is my way of making extra cash.

The only time I lost a money that became gone-gone is when I was newbie and was trying to sell and unfortunately sent my $15 to a scammer. After that I was able to recover everything more than that.

it is very sad in a trade that has lost a lot of money, and I strongly believe that everything will be able to improve again if we are patient, and I have also experienced such a loss, when the coin I bought suddenly came down with it and very long to come back and I decided to sell the coin.

I lost a lot of money from the beginning of 2018 to now. I asked my parents over $ 5k to invest in this market because I thought it would grow to 2020. This is funny lol, I remember when I was a newbie and I never knew anything called stop-loss as of then. I would usually start a long term trading with hopes that the market will go direction I have predicted and by the time I get carried away and return back everything is gone.

But after someone taught me how to do stop-loss I have been able to set trade and go out and once the market drops to the rate I stop-loss or take profit it withdraws.

Yes, that is one statistics that no one can know, but the main thing I can logically deduct right now is that most of the people that invested towards the end of the last quarter of last year by joining FOMO out of greed, most definitely are not having a good story to tell.

the history of crypto markets in ancient times seemed to be very dark and there were only a few exchange sites, MTGOX made bad news and I heard that many assets held there could not make withdrawals, it was sad but now the exchange has begun to be improved security and comfort.

I never invested in Crypto currency from starting i am working for crypto currency, like signature campaign, social media bounty, translation, etc., from the bounty coins i trade and make more bitcoin or lose it. So their is nothing story about loss. Ya but in some projects what i earned free coins i did not sold them when they were in high price due to project being very good and promising but now in the end they are also 90% down and even this project developer also diverting the concept and it is not good for the coin. So this way i made loss of time and effort.

In any trading if anyone is making profit then obviously other will make loss , it is just same like gambling. The only different is in gambling you lose instantly and in trading you lose instantly or in long.

Everyone have different story in crypto But no one is happy to celebrate in crypto market. Margin trading come with high risk. If you don’t have any luck in margin trading, I suggest you to change your strategy to normal trading. At least you can choose to hold until your coin rise in price.

As they say you are not losing money until you do not sell, but I lost a lot in value as I did not short my coins on time. Did not see that this declining market will last this long. Some of the altcoins I  hold will never recover from this bloodbath, so hodling is not a winning strategy during the bears if you are holding shitcoins.

A lot of trader loss money in this year and by keep patient waiting for next bull market,  we have chance to recover that loss.  In this years is very bad  crypto market because all crypto dumped more than 80% . I spent $ 5000 on investing in BCN. I invested more than $ 5500 at a time when BCN's price fell by 25%, but after 2 hours its price soared back to 20% and then I had more than $ 2100. but I did not sell, I slept and forgot to put the sale order. The next day my money was only $ 3000. But I still hope it will grow again but not. I failed. So my experience is to put a sell order before it's too bad.

I do lost a lot of value from my bounty rewards but from investment? Nothing. I've been selective on the ICO's I invest so I make sure to sell it right away whenever I get even a slight profit, Im not holding it. I hold my bounty rewards which made me lose some of it's value but I think it's not a big deal because in the first place it's not my money which I invested.

I've lost money in crypto just because I made a mistake. I bought a coin at a higher price and in panic saw the price drop by 10% I sold it, and immediately in some time the pump price was more than 70%. it made a disappointment and regret when he saw the crypto market situation.

Well I think for newbies margin trading isn’t good gesture. They can’t do right away for profits. They aren’t aware of what is happening around the market. So, in that sensitive case, if you are doing something marginalized, that would be hard for them to make good results. Better is to learn first, try demo trading and then gradually start moving towards other.

Sure, any new trader that wants to trade should better be trying spot trading first than trying to go the marginal way. We are literally living the story of crypto market right now. One day it is great, one day it is stagnant and all of a sudden one day it goes down like hell. It was probably 6-8 months ago, it has never been this low since over a year ago, which tells you that bitcoin sometimes goes from 5 thousands to 20 thousands and makes you money thats true, and sometimes goes low like 15% in a single hour thats true as well, but between all those times, it just stays the same and doesn't move. So if you see crypto staying same and not moving don't be shocked, it is not a gradually moving investment, it either goes up or low but it does that in an hour and stays there for a long time.

About who enter  market  long enough have lossess, is your theory wrong, as long before holding bitcoins users price is still in profit, who entered bitcoin market in last quarter on high price are only in loss.

I never purchased bitcoin, i only work for bitcoin and earn it freely by doing tasks, bounty campaign and other work. I utilize it by converting it to fiat currency when ever i am in need of, so what ever the price is no effect for me.

I think almost everyone usually lost a lot of money in market. Even professional or new trader. But we must get that profit back, and learn what is our mistake. Actually trading is easy to do, but hard to practice.

Almost all my mistake is when i lose the pumping moment, i watch it pump and im also watch it fall, i think this is emotional factor, im asleep when the price rise up and regret it while the price going down. Thousand time i told to myself to sell it while it up, but my brain never listen to my heart. By now, ill try to fix it my friend, hope i can do that.

Have you ever thought why we do not sell when the prices are high. We don't sell because of greed because we think the price will reach even higher than it is now. This greed do not let us sell the coins at high price  and when price started to go low and lower, we sell in panic so get some little profit.

The bad story for me was selling when the pump was in progress, ignorance about the graph at that time I was still panicking because I thought this increase was just a moment and would fall back, but in fact it was a tremendous increase and I made a decision to sell too soon. Regret felt very much to me after selling and then the price increased very high.

margin is really a deadly game. The rich will die a lot in that market. Because the crypto market is controlled by a very large organization. After you bet, they will have information from the order and they will manipulate the market for you to lose money. they will be profitable from that.

Here I am not agree with you mate.. I think waiting for the best is not greed but it is our hope and our faith on crypto which don’t let us sell. It is time when all of us are investing to see price for profit. I personally not selling since 3 years because I want more profit and trust me every year my profit is increasing.

Yes you’re right this market is just unpredictable, you never know what follows next. When you think the market is getting better that’s when it’s actually getting worst. There are many times the market starts to go up, when I invest, the minute it will start going down again and I will be losing. Profits can be made by any investments but not everyone can do that,if you are good at investing on something you can only make profits from it,if you started doing other business you may end up losing on it,that is same when it comes to the crypto investments,where the prices are highly volatile so we thought that we could make more money in no time but this turns into upside down for the people who entered lately,but still we have the chance if we could wait for our time to come.

Every time there will always be changes and prices in the market cannot be predicted. Price changes always depend on demand factors. this demand factor is unpredictable, at any time there will be changes. I thought you would discuss the history of the crypto market but anyways, im sure all of us experienced loss specially to those people who are still in this universe until now. To think that the price dropped from $10,000 dropped to $4,000 is unbelievable and those who have coins including me starting last year will surely lose a huge amount of bitcoins. Thats the major cause of our losses, second is the human error in trading.

Right now story is 2019, everyone talks about how 2019 could be the year when bitcoin and crypto markets could recover. Main reason for that is 3 fold, one is SEC allowing ETF would bring the prices higher, the other is BAKKT ETF starting and the next one is NASDAQ having their own ETF.

Now, if all three of them happens I am sure price will double at least if not more, however even if one of them happens we will see a sudden surge in price even if it is followed by a correction. People are waiting for these to happen for the past month and even right now when the price is going up a bit I think we can tie it to the fact that people are optimistic about the future. When something big happens price usually doesn't change all that much because it already changed a week leading up to that point. We might be seeing that right now.

However, what if they finally choose to delay as they did in 2018? their attitude really has a tremendous price barrier effect, and this is a disease for investors who ultimately choose to keep playing safe.

I have experienced a large loss in trading because of an error from what I predicted. When I think everything will go up, the market moves in the opposite direction and as a result I lose almost 65% of the value of my assets. From this experience I tried to be more careful in making decisions and making them a valuable lesson.

The million dollar question right now in front of you must be, where you have invested. If you would have invested with bitcoin or any other reputed altcoins, there will be 101% chances to recover your capital. But, if you have contributed into ICOs and have bought some shitcoins, I'm sorry no one could help you as your chances for recovery will be less than 10%. It is always being careful will solve a lot of hassles later on.

I guess most all the people in trading must have experienced the losses in various occasions. Crypto is full of tears and fears because many people tried to get the skin of the teeth and bought BTC and ETH at the highest levels. And now all of the prices go down... But technically it calls a correction of the price. Not everybody can understand it. Keep waiting ;)
