Title: The most memorable threads in Bitcointalk history
Post by: kenzawak on June 19, 2018, 05:12:14 AM
So I'm fairly new to this place (been here less than a year) and everyday I learn a new thing.

For example, yesterday I was browsing through Vitalik Buterin's post history here and I found it quite interesting to see the evolution of this "kid" through the years and with him of Bitcoin as well.
From the time he was asking a French guy  (I'm French) to buy him 2 epubs on fnac.com for 3.5 BTC to his ANN thread for Ethereum...

His posting in ripple giveaway threads, his talking about a shirt he bought for $3,50 (8.5 BTC at the time), his technical questions to other members, his political and social theories, his mining with a macbook with 2 cpus running on xubuntu and getting every block lol...

So I was wondering if older members here could point me to other threads of that kind, ones that made this place what it is.

There is also this one I remember reading : the topic about the origin of "HODL".

I type d that tyitle twice because I knew it was wrong the first time.  Still wrong.  w/e.  GF's out at a lesbian bar, BTC crashing WHY AM I HOLDING? I'LL TELL YOU WHY.  It's because I'm a bad trader and I KNOW I'M A BAD TRADER.  Yeah you good traders can spot the highs and the lows pit pat piffy wing wong wang just like that and make a millino bucks sure no problem bro.  Likewise the weak hands are like OH NO IT'S GOING DOWN I'M GONNA SELL he he he and then they're like OH GOD MY ASSHOLE when the SMART traders who KNOW WHAT THE FUCK THEY'RE DOING buy back in but you know what?  I'm not part of that group.  When the traders buy back in I'm already part of the market capital so GUESS WHO YOU'RE CHEATING day traders NOT ME~!  Those taunt threads saying "OHH YOU SHOULD HAVE SOLD" YEAH NO SHIT.  NO SHIT I SHOULD HAVE SOLD.  I SHOULD HAVE SOLD MOMENTS BEFORE EVERY SELL AND BOUGHT MOMENTS BEFORE EVERY BUY BUT YOU KNOW WHAT NOT EVERYBODY IS AS COOL AS YOU.  You only sell in a bear market if you are a good day trader or an illusioned noob.  The people inbetween hold.  In a zero-sum game such as this, traders can only take your money if you sell.

so i've had some whiskey
actually on the bottle it's spelled whisky
w/e
sue me
(but only if it's payable in BTC)

It would be interesting if you post the thread that satoshi nakamoto made, it will be a lot of sense and worth reading. Vitalik buterin is known as the person next to satoshi nakamoto.

Reading through meta, I found out about this one.

Pizza for bitcoins? (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=137)

Of course, I had heard the story but I didn't know it was originally from here.

I'll pay 10,000 bitcoins for a couple of pizzas.. like maybe 2 large ones so I have some left over for the next day.  I like having left over pizza to nibble on later.  You can make the pizza yourself and bring it to my house or order it for me from a delivery place, but what I'm aiming for is getting food delivered in exchange for bitcoins where I don't have to order or prepare it myself, kind of like ordering a 'breakfast platter' at a hotel or something, they just bring you something to eat and you're happy!

I like things like onions, peppers, sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, pepperoni, etc.. just standard stuff no weird fish topping or anything like that.  I also like regular cheese pizzas which may be cheaper to prepare or otherwise acquire.

If you're interested please let me know and we can work out a deal.

Thanks,
Laszlo

What I found interesting about Vitalik Buterin's profil was that:
- he hasn't been active for about 4 years now, except a few post here and there.
- most of his posts, was about blockchain's development, and not about buying a lambo.
