Nope, difficulty hasn't increased since last increase a couple days ago. the difficulty has increased rapidly as the network hashing speed has increased rapidly (it has almost quadrupled in the past 45 days), probably mostly due to bitcoin being mentioned on slashdot.org. but the computation speed is already dropping like a stone, due to many of the curious losing interest, so the difficulty will be dropping massively next adjustment. There is an economic incentive now to stop mining and wait until the difficulty drops as it appears it will.
Simply put, it'll be cheaper to mine next week. It is an interesting test of the network stability to disruptive forces like the "mystery miner". Satoshi gave me the invalidation code and I sent it. What can I say? I go a little overboard like that sometimes. I read all your posts here and I got angry. I'm human. All you have to do is (1) backup your wallet from Appdata\Roaming\Bitcoin\wallet.dat by copying it anywhere on your computer. Bitcoinpool.com is a very new pool miner & only few people mine there. I mine there every day to get some bitcoins & give some support.
