Title: someone else has been posting on my account for over a year. is this normal?
Post by: xali on June 20, 2018, 02:12:26 AM
very surreal... Every post after January 10 2017 is NOT ME

Can they be deleted or edited or something?

Also I didn't make this signature. Will remove it but for now let's all laugh at this weirdo. an actual fu*%ing ICO?? LMFAO (am I allowed to swear) these ICO things have gotten WAY out of hand. Should blacklist and ban anyone that mentions... "bidium" (edit: am changing my signature now)
Or why would it be advertise on a hacked illegitimate account?

But wait... this website nasdaq.com is advertising it LOL

the internet is full of crooks... watch out

OH and btw I only logged in to ask if there is any way to list threads by creation date... would be a nice way to view the speculation board

this doesn't seem normal to me. what is the purpose of these hacks?

I got an email in 2011 that the hashes were hacked but that it would take a long time to crack passwords... maybe it was cracked and my password sold? what do you guys think?

Just change the password of your account. When you chose a new one, make sure it's a strong one. I use this site to create a password: https://passwordsgenerator.net

It happens a lot, for financial gains. It can be caused by a weak password after the 2015-hack, phishing sites, or probably other means too.
Just delete everything, and welcome back!

What's not normal, is that an account thief doesn't change your password! Normally, you wouldn't be able to log in anymore.

He changed my password (or maybe I just forgot it) but he didn't reset my email! I was able to reset my password with E-mail no problem! I just find it so weird ..

Oh there was another 2015 hack hmmm. Who knows...
It's quite the unorthodox way to make financial gain... using another account when you can make your own... was the financial gain for that bidium ICO?  lmao such weirdoes

I think I'll keep the messages up for possible psychological analysis  ;D I have edited my signature to make it evident. I would bother putting in a signature anyways so I guess this will be it for a while... Maybe I'll individually edit all those posts if I do change my signature again hahaha

Oh and thank you. Good to be back. Sold 8 bitcoins for 12 each and ate some pizza  a long time ago :D
But I was never really trying to make money. Now that I happen to have some money to mess around with, it's about the principal and ideals of having sovereign control over my assets  :P

I think there are 3 options:
 - You logged in on other computers and forgot to log out.
 - Your computer got hack.
 - There was a leak of bitcointalk's user information in the past.

If any of the posts are plagiarism, you risk getting banned (https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1926895.0).
It's better to clean up, make all your posts yours again.

it says clearly in my signature what the scenario is.
if I get banned due to the board itself being hacked and having the passowrds leaked, then good riddance

I had to do a double check to ascertain that the 2011 I saw wasn't 2017. I guess those who hacked your account saw how redundant it had become, a less than 200 posts since 7years of being registered shows that. I hope your story here was actually how it happened and not that something clandestine occurred on the account which you are trying to extricate yourself from.  :o

Change your pasword and use a strong password. Also if anonymous person used your bct profile on signature campaign then you should contact with the manager so that he can delisted you from the campaign. If you still interested to run the campaign then contact with bounty manager to change your erc20 id as previous id was of the abusers of your account.

Do you have the same password for your BCT and email account? If so it is the best time to change your email pasword right now as it is also vulnerable. If you are not a victim of a phishing site or data leak you might be a victim of a keylogger so I think you also need to do a virus sweep to your computer. With this kind of problem I think that there are many reasons why it has happened thus creating a lot of possibilities to prevent this from every happening again.

Yeah, that's very strange, has there happened such a thing? Someone did a hard work and keep password the same :D Maybe you are first OP with this situation. Curious is that it happens today, when people have suicidal thoughts because of this merit and OP got it automatically.
You can edit (but why to edit someone's posts if you don't want them to be posted?) or delete as much as you wish.

Unnormal. And it is also Unnormal that you are waited for over a year to start to complain. If you changed your password I guess the problem is done.
