we need your help to or networks keep alive. there isnt enough power to create new blocks , the average time to block is about 6 hours because of the difficulty. yes if there are no miners transactions stop,thats how the network keeps alive. remember mining blocks does not only depends on hashrate but luck at finding a block aswell.
