Wow, I've never heard of that TLD, that's certainly a strange extension.

Either way this is a pretty good domain, should sell well.

(time to google the history of the TLD)

According to godaddy it's a preorder.

"Anyone may pre-register a .ventures domain during this phase. Multiple applications for the same domain will go to auction. If you are not awarded the domain, you will receive a full refund."

Try searching godaddy for "bitcoin.holdings"..."Sorry, bitcoin.holdings is already taken. "

https://www.godaddy.com/domains/searchresults-new3.aspx?ci=54814

Cannot be ordered, and is already pointing to my nameservers.
I'm already on the whois:
http://whois.domaintools.com/bitcoin.holdings

(bitcoin.ventures is also already taken, although that is not the domain being auctioned here, so not sure why you mention it?)

Today was the first day of general availability. Great domain! How much is the annual renewal for this extension?

Nah think I'll hodl (0.5BTC just about covers the advanced registration cost)...

Auction ended with no bids meeting the starting bid.  Will relist it in 6 months or so if not sold privately.

Normally domains can't be  transferred (to a different registrar) within the first 90 days of registration or renewal, but you should be able to do a change of ownership at any time. Make sure you verify the seller is the actual owner first ..... I would also recommend using the domain escrow service at escrow.com, or other escrow service.

As stated in the OP, the domain can be transfer within Godaddy (for the first two months); you need a godaddy account for me to push the domain to.

Also stated in the OP the starting bid was 1BTC.

Plus auction has now ended; I will not be hearing any more bids at the moment as the domain is not currently generating as much interested as expected; I will re-list it in the future and hopefully it will generate the interest I feel it deserves.

Escrow.com does not appear to handle bitcoins?

Good point. No they don't. Use an escrow service here then :)
