Title: What signup method do you prefer on Bitcoin gambling websites?
Post by: BetKing.io on June 22, 2018, 11:52:07 AM
What is your preffered registration method?

Most Bitcoin gambling sites back in the day had no registration. An account was created for you automatically and you would be given a url to access in future.

This is how just-dice works and how PRC (old BetKing) worked.

A few sites now use username and password signup but with email optional. So users can still remain anonymous. This is how BetKing.io is now.

There are some sites that require a valid email address.

Then you have sites like Bit-Exo that have a shared account over a network of gambling sites where you signup at MoneyPot.
Is this something people like?

I always found the problem with the network of having to deposit and withdraw to apps to be a bit tedious while liking the shared bankroll between sites.

I've not seen many sites that ask you to signup with Facebook or Twitter but you can link these to gain access to extra bonuses.

What's your preffered method?

General signup with push e-mail verification would be my choice mate. I see some gambling required the KYC details to start the betting or other gambling services. Mostly people will be ignoring those kind of site in crypto currency invested gambling sites.

Actually it is not with the big usage if we all the details to them.
Being anonymous is the matter for bitcoin usage means you no need to give more details.

What is your preferred registration method?

Username + optional password and email address. First, with this option, you don't really have to create a permanent account, the site just need you to have a username, some sites will store your access for some time for you to be able to access that account using the same browser until the session expires or you've been logged out of the site. And if you want to access that account anytime, anywhere and in any device, you can just set a password (and email address for recovery purposes and other bonuses).

When I encounter a gambling site with complicated registration steps, I don't continue joining. You will and will always find a better site with easier method of signing up.

I don't think they care about those things, gambler cares about how much time it will take to register in a certain gambling site so basically most of gambler would like the username and password with optional e-mail since it is the most common method and the most simple of them all.

I prefer using the one-click Google Email type of login/signup for basically any site- it's fast and easy, I don't have to make another email or username and password combo that I have to put into my password manager. I'm much more inclined to visit sites that use this type of signup than the traditional username or email and password as I like a quick login, but then again anonymity isn't extremely high up on my list of things I look for in a Bitcoin casino. Never really been into the URL-account method of signup on casinos either.

I prefer a fast and easy to use registration that doesn’t limit me with the amount of time consumed just by registering.  I want to register with email through the signing in google. And surely i want protection knowing that I could register 2FA with email confirmation when withdrawing. Preventing potential unexpected withdrawals without your permission etc.

Just the traditional betting site. Just username and password for me and e-mail for recovery options and withdrawal confirmation. May be just add some additional features like Binance for anti bot. It should be work just fine. No need for other stuffs because it's gonna be annoying. I don't like the automatic sign up. It looks shady to me. Most gamblers don't want their identity to be revealed. So i think sign up with your social media account is ideal to use. Anyway, it's just my opinion.

I had been at a site which automatically made me a account and everytime I closed the page I was able to log in, though the bet didn't work and I decided to cash out, suddenly post cash out that account disappeared, I'll clarify they did asked me to keep a user name and password I was to lazy, but post that I prefer a user name and password they're very much important so I prefer that.

I prefer username/password/email. The no-registration sites are most convenient to play on, but you could easily lose the url link after cleaning your browser cache or reformatting your PC. With the common username/password/email registration one could play on multiple devices like desktop and mobile etc. And you could reset your password in the event that you have forgotten your login details.

I prefer username and password but with optional email. However, I think with regulations more and more sites will require KYC and you won’t be able to be anonymous any more. It will take some time, though, but it will happen the same as with (centralized) exchanges.

I prefer with Username/password/email and I think this will save for the user too because they need to click verify registration in their email. but I think you have another method like for example, Social media login (twitter etc) which we only need to log in with our account, Shared account for multiple sites e.g. moneypot ( I like this too because I only need to log in with my moneypot ). but you have a good job of using Username /password with optional email and I think you can continue this if you like it.

I am willing to login with my email address while joining in a new sites because if we lost our information about login or some other things then we can retrive it through email recovering. But some sites need simple registration but need lot of verification for wothdrawing our funds so we need to be careful of those kind of sites if you cannot provide the necessary information your funds will stuck forever.

I like your sign up method right now. I think this is already the best method for crypto casino.

And i have a question. can you make you sportsbook like sbobet, williamhill, bet365, etc. ? If yes, i can see that Betking gonna be the real crypto casino king  ;D

I like the good 'ole username, password, email but with an optional 2FA via Google Authenticator.  Maybe with an optional email confirmation too to withdraw if I wanna get reeeaally secure.  Even then it's not enough.

I've never seen a niche so occupied by hackers constantly trying steal your money.  It's ridiculous.

Did you guys find another odds maker or did you reduce the vig?

I asked odds provider to reduce vig across the board.

If there's any lines you see that are still a bit too high then let me know (might not be able to change on teh day though)

Also note that ethereum betting limits are far too low at the moment and waiting on the provider fixing that.
You can still bet to win 1.5 btc on most markets though

Betking is already my best sportsbook.
One of the best odds in the market.
Supporting Bitcoin and Ethereum payment.
(Adding some more would be desirable.)
One of the largest options among sportsbook.
And most of all, calls football football.

I prefer to sign up with username, password and email. But recently I started to sign up with Google or Facebook account more often. I'm having problems to remember all passwords which I use on different websites. Yeah, it's not anonymous method to signup, but it's more convenient and you need only one click to login without need to use passwords.

The oldest method of signing in gambling site I had known is a username+password+email and good thing if it has a 2fa authentication for more security of your account when it comes withdrawal of the fund. This method which I preferred easy to register and safe even the word anonymous was not there.
Easy and convenient to log in that was mostly gamblers looking site I guess.

I think most of them prefer the username and password only with optional email, due to some gambling sites that requires confirmation via email. This takes some time to fill everything so for those players that wanted to gamble without any obstruction may prefer that one.
Besides not everyone is a fan of telling their real names in a gambling websites.

As long as there are ways to secure our account such as the ability to set google authenticator, username / password will be enough. A simple way to log in but with advanced security features is of course preferred.

I don’t think why gambling sites ask for email address? For me a gambling site is no importance in life and that’s why I never give my real name and email address. I don’t want to expose my data in a gambling site because I don’t trust them.

There are many scams over the internet and your data may be hacked and can be used in illegal and terrorist activities. Therefore be careful while signing up in any site and especially in gambling sites.

To keep up with the spirit of crypto, no login should be used. A personalized link should be the best option for the crypto gamblers tied up directly with the mac id. However, keeping security of funds in mind, an email address and a password should be fine. However, facebook, google and twitter account connection is not an ideal choice for many because of the identity factor. So for me, an email address and a password should be the best method for crypto gambling websites.

Actually email verification is good thing for our funds which makes little bit more security to our account from unknow authorization even if we lost our login deatils then we can recover it from using forgot password method most of the times so I prefer email login to anysite.

Maybe you need to consider to re arrange your platform coloring and positioning its look.  :)

I know better odds is important. but for heaving a comfortable and easy to use platform also important.

Also maybe you shouls start re thinking about heaving a campaign in this forum, you know? for a business campaign and promotion are super important, you need to speak super loud about you business.

I still prefer username and password with email for the idea if I ever forgot my username and password I can still recover it thru email verification and forgot my password to reset. How ever I like the idea being connected my social media account to gambling website with a corresponding reward for doing it.

I would say username/password with optional email. Just like you said this allows you to stay anonymous if you want, but for those that don't value this feature that much, they can add an extra level of security by using an email. Assuming that with an email, you can for confirmation of withdraws and password recovery etc, by using your email.

To be honest I don't even understand why people value not using an email so much. You can just create one just for that site if you want, so I'm ok with using it, and it adds security in my opinion.

As for the shared networks I actually like them when the websites offers games like poker, where the number of players playing the game at the same time could be an issues. For dice and sports betting I really don't see why we would need a shared network.

I used to play on some of these sites that didn't require you to register, but had a few mishaps because of it.
Sometimes I'd lose the unique link and have to e-mail support to get my balance back.

Nowadays I prefer to just create an account, as long as they don't require me to log in with Facebook, I don't mind.

When I am not applying for a job or trying to invest in something that is going to be worth it eventually.
I am surprised that I am coming to a platform to lose my money while playing some games, since that is what happens most of the time anyway and some gambling platform trying to stress my life with some huge forms to fill like I am being verified like the whole Know your customer thing is bullshit.

I prefer the easy sign up process as long as I am not giving up too many details which make me stick with the platform with just the email/ username and password.

Voted for username/password with optional email. I think it is the easiest and the most suitable way to sign up for almost everyone. Optional email means that we as players are responsible for our account, so if we do not set an email address then we may lose our account once we forget the password although I believe there is still some ways to recover the account by proving that we are the real owner of the account.

I prefer Username/password/email to other methods. Verified email is convenient for the instances when you forget your login info. Also it's good when email confirmation is required for withdrawals. It's not that hard to do, but if your account is hacked they can't withdraw and that's a good thing. Social media login means that you reveal your identity and although I don't care much about that, I understand that some people don't want to do that, especially when login to gambling sites. No signup is fun sometimes, but of course it's hard to convince yourself that your account is secure in that case.

Yeah you are right username and passwords are for signing in and when you going to sign up they will ask many questions which I think are not necessary for such sites. If they give optional then its ok but if mandatory then avoid to give your original data. Keep your data as much as you can while using internet. The situation is now different and anything could be happen.

Username/ Password/ email seems more convenient than other signup methods. Adding email may come useful if we forget password. I don't want to give my original data's when signup.

At start just login by providing Login name (testing purposes - fast welcome)
Then go for Password request
Finally 2fa / email validation if the user wants

I voted for the Username/password/email. This is my preferred method so if anything bad happens to my funds or bet, I can easily refer the system admin to my chosen username instead of pointing to a link or a set of numbers that I use when I played for that day. Also for security purposes as well, if the devise that I use is not the same device or not in the list of recent devices that I used, site can send a link to my email to verify.

Well i'd be ok with a username password and an email that can serve as a 2fa. Having too much security can be a little complicated and just a log in username and password is not as secure now as before.

Yes having email verification will add more security to the system, but no site forcing the users to have two factor authentication even many sites don't have that option, which can save our funds from the scammers.I am also like email verification but some sites will annoy us with their promotions every day so which is the only part I don't like in the email sign up method.

As emails can be obtained easily, I have no idea why no one would do it. The proper version is username and password however I do enjoy email so that if I ever forget my password (who actually writes down their passwords, we use chrome to memorize it) than I can use my email to recover my account. Though I understand people not opting on that. However having just url like just-dice can cause issues when you reset your pc with something like ccleaner. Moneypot was huge back in the day, however with time they got irrelevant for bad management.

I prefer just choose the username and the password and done, no need to verification your email to login and gamble. Maybe you can add with "if you verification your email, you can get an email for bonus or something like that in the future". For fiat sportsbook usually has more complicated signup method than bitcoin gambling website. On bitcoin gambling website you can signup easily.

I like simple registration (username and password with optional email). Inserting too much data on a gambling website firstly takes too much time, and also I feel uncomfortable with that and I think most of players do because you naturally want to be as anonymous as possible. Optional email is convenient to restore pwd or username, so it has to be there. Bit-Exo registration seems complicated and I don't see any benefits over the above mentioned method, and sharing your wallet info on gambling websites doesn't quite attract, also this method can be applied to a certain limited range of websites, so you would probably need to use other methods for the sites that are off that range.

Having mail address is a good thing because if we forgot our login details we need to recover it,for that we can just click the forgot password then we will receive the password resetting link but if we only have username and password the recovery process might be complicated since you need to wait for the support team to respond.

People who prefer only username and password may be not interested in depositing money but just play with free money from the site and next visit they want to use another new login to try their luck.

I agree that site should allow users to enter the site with just by entering username and password but later stage if a user likes site then they can enter like email, 2fa and other details to secure their account.

Having mail address is a good thing because if we forgot our login details we need to recover it,for that we can just click the forgot password then we will receive the password resetting link but if we only have username and password the recovery process might be complicated since you need to wait for the support team to respond.

I agree that site should allow users to enter the site with just by entering username and password but later stage if a user likes site then they can enter like email, 2fa and other details to secure their account.
