Title: bitcoin market price falls down. Threat or treat?
Post by: jademaxsuy on June 22, 2018, 03:19:08 PM
I came to a point where i am always checking coinmarketcap.com for market price movement that relatively as of this moment it continue to fall down. It came another major fall down on market price. What do you think on the situation right now? Is it a threat that bitcoin will crushed or it is the good time to invest on bitcoin or other cryptocurrency.

It is already a threat to those who are investing in bitcoin and you should continue on what you are doing checking the market price movement. If it will still fall that exceeds your target market price to sell then sell it right away because maybe it is the end of cryptocurrency already. Yet you must still hold to avoid losing some of your money. Just be patient on it.

Maybe, maybe not. That's the biggest question, right? But I strongly believe, it's impossible. Crypto is something, what never will die. I may fall to 1K, but die, no. Most people are looking at crypto as investment, but some fields required crypto as a payment. Where FIAT is not accepted. Those places will always use crypto.

We cannot tell if this is only a joke or a blessing. Bitcoin is in the point of decision making where the destiny of price is in the hands of all its holder. This is the point where the FUDers attacks Bitcoin to make the price crash and break it's normal price flow.

I think you should not be in a hurry. Wait a couple of days and then it will be clear - whether bitcoin will fall further or this is a fraudulent maneuver. Do not rush to buy right now.

When everyone is worried about the issue of bitcoin will be destroyed, this makes the others become weaker / less their trust in Bitcoin.
but you need to know Bitcoin will not be destroyed, it's just the price is not stable because many issues that are not good about Bitcoin.
if you often see the movement of Bitcoin in CoinMarketCap you should not have to worry about the decline in Bitcoin prices now, try again you notice the price movements of previous years and try you the same with the current year.

Bitcoin has been showing this price since the start of this year and I don't see any threats it posed. The price is just the normal thing it has been doing recently.

well it is both a treat and an eye opening incident.

it is a good opportunity to buy the dips and make profit in both short term and long depending on your strategies. but at the same time it is showing how bad the adjoining market is. the altcoin market is the cause of all this drama. if you look around you can see how the money is escaping the altcoins and what route the investors choose to get back to fiat? the rout that goes through bitcoin! so they take bitcoin down with them.

Honestly, I'm worried a bit but as investor, it's become the great temptation so this is it, the test is begin.
Of course I'm not expect this happening on this year but it's really happen right and all people should not panic

Every incident has a different significance to different people.  Some people have the ability to think positive in negative situation. On the other hand some always think negative in every situation. Similarly some people consider the price fall as negative and started to panic sell. And they will be looser.  But there are some optimist people who never invest their total amount of money. They invest a little portion at every price fall. And at the end they are the gainer. So, to me it is nothing but a treat.

Tbh it seems that this market crash would go on continuously for a few days unless the bulls successfully repel such selling pressure. It is possible that we might dip to another sub-$5k for the time being and form another double-bottom pattern and rebound back to possibly $8k-$9k after a few weeks. There's a lot of possibilities, that's for sure, but one thing that I know in mind is that the ongoing crash would likely hurt the miners and surely, they wouldn't let such a thing to happen with their investments. It will be another push-and-pull scenario for the coming weeks and this time, it's a massive shakeout yet again.

According to Coinbase, almost $20 billion is waiting to enter crypto space from big financial institutions. They are only waiting until custody solutions make sense. Market is prone to manipulation and institutional money will not enter the market until that threat is gone. Tokyo-based investment bank Nomura announced its new venture, Komainu which is a custody solution that can remove barrier for institutional money entering the market. This can significantly increase the volume which in turn can lead to price appreciation.

Like i always said, you need to wait years after the bitcoin price reach the ATH to encounter another ATH.Everytime the price decreasing, people always assume that it's a threat, just buy when the price is falling, but if you don't have the money, holding your fund is enough.

We are still at an early stage of development. The largest blockchain such as bitcoin Ethereum is at an early stage of development. There will still be UPS and downs.Futures caused a real fever in the cryptocurrency market. The excitement is almost asleep but still continues to negatively affect the course. The scalability issue is another cause of the downturn.Given all the advantages of the cryptocurrency, it has all the chances to win.

I would say it's another opportunity for buying moee Bitcoin. Every such correction I look at positive way not like the end of the world but as a chance to get some more coins and get options for the future profit.
Don't look at dip as a problem and time to panic but as a challenge you will use the best positive way to make more profit.

I agree with the opinion! I'm sure that now is the best time to buy bitcoin! such a sale will be no more! This year bitcoin will reach 40,000! and it will happen very soon! This market for the patient, now there was a long correction! but I'm sure that soon it will end! if you look at the graphs for the past years: bitcoin always up, down! but always in the new year it cost more than in the previous one! such a more low price will not, invest with pleasure!

This is certainly a threat. The investors are not seeing any growth in bitcoin and hence lost their interest to invest here. And those who are holding their coin for good prices are already depressed by now.

Like some of us has said here several times it is a good thing for bitcoin to fight and remain strong in the face of this serious opposition to it progress. Bitcoin is falling towards $5,500 and from there a very strong bullish momentum will be form that is going to push bitcoin above $10000.

very confusing this is the condition where there is a very profitable and there is a disadvantage, fortunately for those new investors who are now down prices and losses for those old investors and huge losses.

the attitude of the people in this forum is different, I think only those who have a weak mentality who thinks the present situation is a threat, while the clever people assume that the present situation is a drug, which can cure after the decline that occurred some the last month, they will take advantage of this situation and buy coins as much money as they have, in order for the results to double.

What is the purpose of always checking the market price? Because the more you look at the price the more you panic. The current situation is not a threat, because this will not continue to crash, in fact its a treat for us to have more bitcoin in our wallet. Treat this situation as another buying opportunity, make it well.

Why would this be a threat to Bitcoin? It still works as it should and development is still underway. It has proven time and again that price drops won't crush it. If anything else, it may be a threat to investors.

We're in a bear market so I personally don't think we've bottomed out. I plan to just sit on my ass and HODL. Investing right now is even bigger of a gamble than it usually is.

Investing right now is even bigger of a gamble than it usually is.

Investing in any market is a gamble, regardless of the sentiment.

While people keep complaining about the price being low and whatnot, miners don't give a fack which likely only means that the price is still profitable for them. It has been like that for months straight, nothing can change that. If the price was low and unprofitable they just wouldn't keep adding gear to the network. Ok, one could say that they are stacking up coins hoping for a recovery that may or may not happen, but that's too speculative and nothing can be bought with that.

I think the bottom is in once the difficulty increases stagnate for months straight, or even turn into a decrease.

I think its treat that will crash it's normal every year we experience the down price of bitcoin. It's time to buy more now because it's cheaper than before so when the price will increase we gain a good profit.

Do you mean bitcoin will be destroyed and not worth anymore? I guess it will never happen to bitcoin. This is just a market situation, and indeed the new bad news continues to grow so that makes all the price decline not just bitcoin alone. This week bitcoin prices will again decline, possibly up to $ 5000 price if you see the state of the market, each user will prefer to sell rather than buy. And when the price has touched about $ 5000 everyone will think to re-invest so it will make the price back up.

We are constantly listening that some big money just waiting to enter in cryptocurrency, same story for years - I hope this price movement is maybe a signal that something is happening in this regard. It make sense that big investors want to invest at a lower price, but even with that extra money volatility of BTC will not disappear, and manipulation is an integral part of the markets.

When I listen to some "experts" and their prediction regarding investment in cryptocurrency, most of them are pretty sure that trillions of $ will be invested in this market, but if you ask them when - hardly anyone gives time frame for that.

Threat or treat, it is both in this moment, for anyone who want to buy more or enter first time in crypto it is treat - for other investors can be threat/for week hands this is catastrophe and death of BTC.

Obviously, a fall in the price is a threat, since a lot of people are investing their money in it. If the price keeps falling. Then it is better to take out the money as quickly as possible, because harboring such risk will result I the loss of money. It’s better to be updated on the price all the time.

I believe that it's going to be a good time to invest in bitcoin for cheap.

At the moment, a lot of people aren't even interested in bitcoin anymore due to the fact that its prices have basically plummeted from the all time high. Instead of panic selling like the rest of the crowd, I think it's a good time to start dollar cost averaging your buys and getting in at cheaper prices. There is virtually no benefit to panic selling - you're not going to get much in return anyways.

But there is a lot of advantages to buying right now, as we know the price is nearing the bottom, if not already at the bottom. I do expect the bear market to continue for at least a few more months until Q4, though, which means that only accumulate now if you're comfortable with holding for the long run. Don't expect any short term profits.

It appears to be more of a thereat because the market downfall is continuous. The market price is becoming lower and cheaper and if this scenario will continue, it will be hsrd for its market value to recover and that is sinply what threatens many investors. Surely, this is scary. From the beginning of this year, the msrket vslue is continuously falling, and still, at this moment, same thing happens and worse.

this is what always happens in the cryptocurrency, I learn from the past and I see that from time to time, bitcoin price is always like this. after the price increase higher, the price will always get down and even the down is too deep like what we see now. but after this, I am sure that the price will increase higher again and it is down again. this cycle will happen in every time and it is better to prepare yourself if you decide to stay in the cryptocurrency.

How exactly do we know the price is nearing the bottom? And what bottom are you exactly referring to?

Technically, the market has broken out of its comfort zone several times already, and based on that I from now refrain from calling bottoms. Yesterday we've reached the lowest point since last year November, and this isn't something easily to discard. What happened in the last months is that breaking bottoms results in an almost guaranteed test of the bottom below it, and we might be up for some more.

I do however agree that accumulation is the best option right now. I managed to scoop up some $5900'ish coins yesterday and I'm ready for more if so.

I see the current price of bitcoin as a treat, maybe "free money for the long term" :D. I have trust in bitcoin and I know that what is happening right now is only a massive correction after what happened last year. If we will see what happened in the last 4 months of 2017, it only shoot up and up and up with no going down. I know that in the next months, it will do the same again although this is just a speculation :).

For me it is not because I see this as an opportunity to buy more bitcoin for the cheaper prices.Think positively. 8)

But the price falls below $6000 looks threatening for me as well because I thought that it will never go below $6000 because this year the price has high resistance even when there is high market crashes.Any how today market looks good and goes beyond $6100 so it maybe the start of the recovery phase. :D

Not a threat but this is a good opportunity to invest in Bitcoin, do not be in a hurry to wait in the next few days maybe the price will become cheaper again and also the price will improve, I have seen several times for today the movement is very good with improvement fast, still a question mark between forward or backward, some people say this is just a normal rise.

The main point is the overall market is not aware ahead of time where is the best price vs demand vs supply place to buy.     What I would recommend is to buy regularly not just one off, it could easily take 6 months to turn around.

I think of a large market, one in the billions as being like parking a Supertanker boat.   Imagine trying to turn that around, it takes 6 minutes just to tell which direction it is turning in.   Where as us the people are just little rowing boats mostly and just trying to stay afloat from the waves Bitcoin is making.

If buying regularly you will receive the average 2018 price  not risk being stuck at its highs.   Then maybe it can double from that average and who could complain about that gain.    If we just risk buying in June only then people get upset on every little move up and down, its not worth that hassle imo.    Next price I'm watching for direction is 6500, a regular high I think

Yes, you are right. It seems to be a threat to us all crypto users. I also see the price of coinmarketcap.com sometimes goes up and sometimes also goes down. It is unfortunate for us who have collected some crypto. Usually there will be an increase at the end of the year in 2017 yesterday. I hope at the end of this year will go up like the previous year.

for me its an opportunity to buy more as we cannot call the bottom but bitcoin going below 6000$ is pretty critical and we were supposed  to bounce back hard from there and that is what we saw with that big green candle takings us back to 6200$ though I am not yet sure about the reversal yet, bitcoin must reach the 7100$ resistance and stay there for some time then only we can confirm market reversal.

I don't believe that there is any threat that this bear market has on the long term development of bitcoin as a currency whatsoever. Prices are quite distinct to adoption and use, you have to understand that, since prices can be easily influenced in the short term due to the fact that bullish and bearish sentiments exist in the market and influence traders.

There won't be any longlasting effects on BTC. Nothing like what some are saying (bitcoin is dead etc.). It's just a bear market.

Accumulating BTC while everyone is selling in a bear market is probably the most sensible thing to do, at the moment. I think that anything under $7k is worth buying at given that you are able to hold for at least a few years. With the new institutional investors and a lot more established bitcoin services that are currently heading into the market, I expect the next bull market to be quite significant (although it's probably not going to be as heated as 2017).

Well it depends on your point of view some see's it as a threat and some as a treat,
If you want to get Bitcoin at a low price then it is a good thing for you but if you want to sell your Bitcoin for cash then this is a really bad thing for you,
I think if you want to invest in Bitcoin this would be really great time for you to start jumping into Bitcoin.

It's unfortunate if you're expecting quick returns from your bitcoin investments. For those that are looking towards the future, it's opportunity presenting itself. I don't get threatened by what's going on and i even am at more than negative 50%.

I consider bitcoin's price falling down as a threat for short term, during this bloodbath, many will be tested of their patience and discipline that will affect their decisions. For long term, the cheap price of almost all crypto currencies out there is a treat. This could be the bottom price for the year, look for the volume of sellers, whenever the bears become exhausted from selling, a bullish reversal could happen.

From my perception you should be more patient. Because the crypto market is too much volatile. Price will fall down and again rise in such a short period of time. Be patient and don't loose hope in this kind of situations.

If you have been a follower of Cryptocurrency you should have known by now that the current price Bitcoin is just temporary. This is something that will not last that long. Those negative news are made just to bring the price down so whales can buy some more. Look no further, just check the price of Bitcoin for the past 3 years and look at the trend. I would buy some more while the price is still low.

i think from half of people the ted market is a good time to buy more coin and bitcoin, they know that their investment will down, but they use the oppotunites to buy more coin and get more profit when the price is back to normal again, but some people is not agree with this situation, so where are your side?

People only care about the market's performance after they bought their coins, therefore they don't give a single damn about how the price has been going up throughout the last years. Their reality is that even if the price starts to go up again, it is still nowhere near any levels that result in reaching their break even point. The best thing they can do is to start buying the market down in order to break even faster, otherwise it's going to take long, very long. It's way more likely that they will end up selling their coins before they break even, because they for sure will run out of patience at some point....

It is a threat for someone that doesn't believe in bitcoin and only want an instant profit and exit from it's market. But for those experienced, bitcoin believers and traders it is a treat. You can buy a cheap bitcoin now that went almost $20,000 few months ago and was followed by a massive correction. I'm not using any discouraging word during the dip as long as we can hold the drop, there's no need to treat it as a threat.
Buy more during the falls and you'll be glad few months from now on.

True. I'm still in a positive side. The bitcoin's situation right now is "normal" when one tries to look for its trend in the past years. Moreover, this is a good time to invest more in btc. This will soon recover. We just need to be more patient as its price may rise or even fall down more in the coming days.

This is upto the user who has involved in the investment on bitcoin. One who fears about the fall considers it as a threat, same time who believes in its potential that it'll grow high in the future consider it a treat as he can invest big on bitcoin as the price has decreased big.

For me this dip was an opportunity and we should grab it as soon as possible because bitcoin was volatile meaning it has a possibility to grow enormously. I think not good in investment though but its better if you will buy a bunch of it and hold for a long time and sell if it is grow up.

Its not a threat because there are a lot of people before who told that cryptocurrency will be dying due to china that banned all the icos in their country but at the end of the year, bitcoins still managed to reach $19k dollars so try to have more patience today.

I think this is a threat to those who have invested in bitcoin but have no patience. not a threat to the destruction of bitcoin. but for everyone who has confidence in increasing the value of bitcoin is the right time to buy and double their bitcoin for future profit, even if it takes a lot of patience.

The price of the bitcoin fall and that's not ordinary decrease because they decrease deep. But this is the opportunity to invest more to bitcoin and if the price increase you will get more money. But better also if you invest to other altcoins because they have possibility one of them are become the next bitcoin.

It is going to be a treat because of having a chance to gain bitcoin while the price is at the floor. I cant see it as a threat because of the potential of bitcoin to gain a good price within the year. As long as the price has a huge value we should not be afraid.

It depends on the perception of a person. I am holding a bitcoin on able to earn so for me it is a treat because I can afford to buy more bitcoin and later on when I think its price is enough for me to sell it then I will. I will earn much bigger during this kind of situation. It is just a matter of insights. If negativity hits you then you lose and so your investment. :)

I think it is a treat for bitcoin itself to reach another highest price in the market. without doing this, bitcoin is hard to reach and break another level of the price. so this could be done if bitcoin wants to reach the highest price in the next months. but I realize that this falls down is too deep and makes some people lost their trust in bitcoin and they sell their bitcoin because they think that bitcoin will be down at the lower price.

Its a threat for bitcoin holders and it is a treat for new bitcoin investors. Because already they hold it for long time still the price doesn't increase so they get panic to hold. But for new investors the price is very low so they can buy now and hold it for long term once the price will increase they have more benefits. So threat or treat it depends upon the person holding the bitcoins. Already you are a bitcoin holder just keep on holding and wait till the price increase.

This will soon recover. We just need to be more patient as its price may rise or even fall down more in the coming days.

The main problem with people is that they are too focused on a recovery. Let me ask you one thing, what recovery are you hoping for? There is nothing to recover from.

We reached the highs of last year based on speculation and hype. How can we expect a market that's struggling to cope with the excess of coins to recover to something that wasn't even viable with all the hype that we went through? Even the hype at that point couldn't sustain the price over $15,000 for long, let alone levels near the peak.

We have to reset our expectations and accept that current levels are a fresh start. We can't change anything about the peak that's marked in the charts for ever, but we can do something to make the suffering less obvious and stressing. If we happen to reach the $10,000 level this year, then see it as a new all time high based on regular demand. The market has changed months ago, people here still haven't figured that out.

Price fluctuation is a common character of this market. But its true in recent times bitcoin price fall down because of low demand. I think in near future price will increase .so don’t panic. Invest on bitcoin.
It is not a common price fluctuation because it is not   a continuous dump. If you see the chart sudden dump is comes in market and it will maintain a same level in half of the day.
So many peoples are panic in this situation but long term holders are never afraid in this situation.

The Bitcoin’s market has fallen and the value has dropped a lot but we can only expect and hope for the better future of Bitcoin. As we know that the value increases with the increase in demand rate so it may increase in the upcoming days because this low market will attract more people.

This is an opportunity for people to get benefit from this favorable market however it is not favorable for sellers and they should wait for jump.

I don't think its a good opportunity for those people who've just bought bitcoin at higher value of price, and yet fall at worst dipped price. Although its a good opportunity for other traders due to cheaper value, but it needs longer span of time for those late buyers could earn their profit. No such threat could give to traders but, in general understanding it was misunderstood as frustrations. But when the exact price will be achieved, I guess the impression  here was a treat  to all who've been waiting for a profitable  price.

That is just the best idea when it comes to this market. Understand what you are holding, hope for the best and wait for the long term. The fact that we are in a downtrend does not mean we are going to be in a downtrend forever as there would definitely be the time for the bulls as well just like we saw last year as much as we have seen the time for the bears this year as well. The best thing here is to always wait for it and be hopeful that the best is even yet to come.

Right. Here's where that cliche saying about patience comes in. It make take a lot of time before you can take profit, and that is if you manage to survive the panic and anxiety caused by fuds that'll come along the way.

Or is it just because people are cashing out their profit? The price fall is not because of people not knowing how the market works. You can't always blame FUD or fake news. In fact if you compare the average prices of last few years, we are still actually on the rise. The price sky rocketed last year during and the fall was obvious since a correction was needed.

Better to wait some more. There are huge chances of decreasing bitcoin price below 2K or even more but you can't say it is the end of bitcoins.I would like to say buy some more bitcoin it will never end I know its a hard time for every investor they have to take the risk because you only gain profit if you take the risk.

It's not a threat its just a bad time do no sell panic wait and hold your coins show penitence I am sure your penitence will give you profit
