Wow, I don't get impressed easily, but this is by far the most beautiful game i've seen in the bitcoin world. Most stuff is kinda from the arcade games years.
Well done, i'm definitely giving it a try.

I'm having it run on auto play while writing this, pretty cool have to say. And it really took me less than 20 seconds to start playing with real BTC. Quite convenient for few casual spins through the day when I have spare mins.

OMG I just won, gotta go :)

I played some more today and have to say the winning sound is really cool, kinda makes you dance when you win.
Is that some kind of dubstep? :)
Good thing I'm alone at home, because I might look tiny bit funny :)

Yes, indeed! And the affiliate system is really smart too. It's so simple it's genius.
What I love is that I can directly gamble the referral income and potentially double it. So, i'm gambling and making money out of thin air.
If I lose, I don't lose my own money. Beautiful :)
Would be too much if I post my referral URL here?

Here is a pro tip. On most real world slots you can only double your bet twice or three times (25c, 50c, $1)
So, progressive betting doesn't really work, but here you can do it 4 times at least and I suppose more when out of beta.
This is nice way to minimize your loses while waiting for the big symbols.
Thank me later.

If you don't have coins, just use the affiliate program to get some for free and then gamble them. Double or nothing :)

The smartest referral system I saw had just the affiliate's Bitcoin receiving address added to the url and then payments automatically sent out. That is brilliant.

Yes pretty good, but leads to bitcoin dust, since peope often gamble tiny amounts many times.
Infact sometimes the fee is comparable to the referral amount. (yes people gamble 0.0001)

There can still be a minimum payout amount, or payout only once a month.

We just completed painful and long (over 8 hours downtime) upgrade of the server. Now that's good of course because means we outgrew the old one but still it could have been less bumpy.
If you have a second I'm asking you to load the site https://bitbandit.eu and let me know if everything loads fine and fast! We believe there might be some cashing issues with some people and browsers.

Sometimes if there are connections problems the animation might be off sync with the actual results.
However, what appears in the provably fair fields is always right. And if you win it rewards you for sure. My guess is that in your case you didn't actually won, but just had the animation wrong because of connection issue.
However, screenshot would have really helped

Understood but I think it's something to consider. Being one if the first btc slot games to allow 1 satoshi bets would likely drive a flood of poor gamblers to your site and those 1 satoshis do add up over time! Just a thought.

I am not sure I am allowed to post multiples in a row to reach 75th post. I will try this anyway. I do not want to spam, so I will say something useful about BitBandit. Their graphics is one of the best slots on the net. Even if you don't play slots often, hop over to try a spin or two. You might win 5000 times your bet.

If your post wins then mine at #61 should have won too but didn't. So OP has to award the winner to the person who spammed;

We though about selling shares but the opinions about the only crypto shares platform are mixed.
Open to suggestions on that topic though.

So there is! My bad!

As for investing I was thinking something similar to the just dice system. Investors get profit depending on the percentage of the house stake they have invested. If my investment were say 1% of the house stake I would get 1% of each losing play and lose 1% on each winning play.

I plan to use the affiliate banner either way, but it would be a fast way to allow larger bets.

Yes, I'm quite happy with the instant withdraw affiliate program, I believe that's quite rare if there are others at all.

I got to say: wow!  :o @CryptoPanda

I gave it a try yesterday, invested 0.05 BTC and hit the Jackpot with a payout of 0.5 BTC!
I than tried to withdraw my BTC, came up with a message that there aren't enought funds in the hot wallet > SCAMALARM i thought first.

I opened a support case as suggested, got answer in less than 1 hour, got my withdraw today. THATS how it should be done.

A really well done gambling site!

So now go and make me rich :D

I gotta be honest...

If anyone saw me playing this game they would die laughing.

I LOVE THE SOUNDS

Both of the losing spin, but even more than that the beat that plays when I win causes me to rock out for at least 10 seconds before I go back to spinning some more blanks.

Get some other games.... should be easy   But I admit I do love the Anonymous Mask, Illuminati Pyramid... Is that onion?

Great Game though....   I need that jackpot, please fix for me!

Title: Re: zip

Quite an interesting website. The design of the Slot Machine looks nice.

There are however, two problems I currently have with your system:

1. How can people 'send you bitcoins and start playing' within 10 seconds?

This has me slightly concerned, as it usually takes longer, for one to two minutes, until a transaction is confirmed by most of the network. I think that 'within 10 seconds' is an overstatement.

And the more important issue is that you seem to not care at all about confirmations. If you let people play with money from a transaction that is not confirmed yet, you are very susceptible to double-spend attacks. How do you protect yourself from that?

2. You are using SHA-1 as Cryptographic Hash Function.
SHA-1 has been broken since 2005. A nice article with some details can be found here (https://www.schneier.com/blog/archives/2005/02/cryptanalysis_o.html).
Attacks always get better, they never get worse.
SHA-1 should not be used by anyone who takes themselves seriously. Especially if they are dealing with money.

So, what are you going to do about this?

I'm not trying to be mean, I know how much work goes into developing an intricate web system like this. But you really need to fix these issues if you want people to trust you with their money ;-).

Have a nice day,

~W-M

Title: Re: zip
Post by: CryptoPanda on May 23, 2014, 11:46:52 AM
Both are good questions, luckily for us we have it thought out and those areas in particular have been extensively considered.

1. As you know transactions are instant, confirmations  need 10 mins on average.
So you can play instantly, but can withdraw only after 2 confirmations. That's the best compromise between game play and security.
Why make the user wait to play, when the actual risk is only when withdrawing? Most people play more than 20 mins, so they don't have to wait for the withdraw either.
That way we prevent double spend attacks without actually sacrificing game play at all, neat right?

2.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/SHA-1#Attacks
Quote
As of 2012, the most efficient attack against SHA-1 is considered to be the one by Marc Stevens[32] with an estimated cost of $2.77M to break a single hash value by renting CPU power from cloud servers.[33] Stevens developed this attack in a project called HashClash,[34] implementing a differential path attack. On 8 November 2010, he claimed he had a fully working near-collision attack against full SHA-1 working with an estimated complexity equivalent to 257.5 SHA-1 compressions. He estimates this attack can be extended to a full collision with a complexity around 261.

When building systems that have to be both secure and provide fast game play, one doesn't always just pick the most secure hashing but one that's secure enough for the purpose and efficient as well. You need a balanced decision. We believe that SHA-1 is plenty secure for our minimal and non-important use. Please note that the hashing is just to prevent the user from seeing the seed before the spin, nothing else. Even if he spends $2.7M to uncover it before the spin, he won't have any real gains from that. So the expense of the attack way overthrows the actual benefit.

I hope that this clears out your otherwise valid concerns :)

Hey W-M, do you agree?
Yes, I sure do. Thanks a lot for your detailed response ;).

Although I would personally still advise against using SHA-1, as the $2.27 million attack is the one we know of, but there might be some attacks out there that we don't. A more efficient hashing algorithm does indeed result in the ability to serve more users at the same time. I would still decide to use a stronger, less efficient function over a weaker one, but that comes down to personal preference.

As for the first point:
This is a very smart solution for this problem, and also the one that I would use myself as well. It would make a great addition to your FAQ.

Again, thanks. You've handled my post very diligently.

Yes indeed, you never know how many years after an attack is found we will know about it, but in this very specific case, where there is no real advantage to the attacker we went with this one. Wouldn't use it for something like passwords though.

Yes, it's good idea to add that to the FAQ, will do :)

Thanks!

Yes. My intentions were to play but I could not. Everytime I pressed spin about 75% it didn't spin. The other 25% it spun and just showed blanks for all 3 reels. After 5-10 seconds random symbols would appear in a couple of the reels. From my system, it was a very buggy and bad experience so I withdrew my balance. I was not trying to be a freeroller and simply withdraw but a couple of spins debited my acount and never even spun.

I can confirm that! Seems yesterday night we have hit the maximum of the current server and that caused the animation to be offsync because of late response from the server.
Thanks to your notice we were able to find it as it was happening and are in process of upgrading the server today.

Your Slotmachine is dead since months. I guess you won't come back online and pending deposits won't be credited as usual?

Title: Re: zip
Post by: CryptoPanda on September 30, 2014, 12:08:46 PM
No, actually we are very close to re-launch.
All those delays are for security sake. And we don't really hold deposits in total more than 0.1 BTC or so.
We are not going anywhere, just placing security first.

The site is back up! :)
You guys are the first to know, I won't be announcing it anywhere else but in this thread for now.

The delay was incredible I agree. You are free to make fun of us. There were several problems. I might write a blog post about them since it will be useful to other developers.
And we wanted to to make no compromise with security. Our line of thinking was that delayed product is better than compromised product.

Anyway, you can go ahead and try it now. Have fun!
It was a lot of work so really hoping that you guys will enjoy it.

Thank you for the incredible patience!

Anything new apart from security? Main UI hasn't changed a lot. I forgot my login details, so I haven't tried it yet. I think I have it written down somewhere. I assume username and password remains the same?

Seems you've had promo credit and before but just credited again.
Please let us know how do you find it.

So far for the short period we are up we had 2 persons hit the x5000, one with the min 0.0001 bet and one with the max 0.0003 winning 1.5 BTC.
You can see the cash-outs in the table below the slot on the right.

Yes I have received another free credit before, but I forget when and where I got the promo code :)
But I think it was few weeks ago (no more than a month)
Anyway, thanks for the free credit. Hope will get more luck than the previous free credit.  ;D

Hey dev,

I got blank/unloaded images so many times, I need to refresh after each spin to know what images are they.
Is there any other ways for me to see the image without refresh/reload the page?
I thought it was because low connection, but still get the same when I tried it with better connection.

Thanks

This is really unusual. Would you be so kind to open a support ticked and give the OS and browser you are using?
Screenshot would help too.
We will credit your account for the effort.

I think it because they never got a blank images in any other slots before, just like me :)
Anyway how many blank images in each reel? Just tried it again and I saw there are 2 blank images in a row (3rd reel) http://prntscr.com/7adiq5
Is that blank or unloaded image (remarked as "second blank")?
