Title: what yall think about this sudden below 780 (it has been stable for a few weeks)
Post by: bitcoinsrus on February 06, 2014, 07:20:04 PM
Hello, I noticed this sudden dip (below 780)
what do you guys think about this.  do you think its a new crash and will go to 500 or 600
or will it bounce back by next week

why is it dipping now?  should we be worried.  when will it go back up (most likely will)
is this the best time to buy in or should we wait and see how this plays out

any other speculation welcomed

You won´t see 900-1000$ any time soon, perhaps never again. Bitcoin is about to go down hard.

1W MACD is very bearish... almost never played out well for bitcoin. Bull market is over for a while.

Edit: I´m closing my shorts @around 350-500$ so i guess i´m a bit bullish at least. :D :D

I still think we will see 5 digits in 2014.  But that doesn't mean it won't go to $700 or even $6xx first.

So the price has gone down $20 and we are in a new paradigm?

Is this confirmed?

It might. But chances are statistically more likely that it will go lower in the following weeks before picking up again. Also, keep an eye on bitcoin competition in 2014. Something major like a Googlecoin or the like would be bad for BTC.

Unless it's truly an anonymouscoin, who the fuck cares.

Big banks would trust a Googlecoin over Bitcoin.. Not saying it is going to happen, but just keep on eye out for it (meant for the noob OP).

Anyone who shorts bitcoin is a complete fool. You go long and extend yourself as much as possible. ITS a NO-BRAINER

But people won't. No one is going to trust a currency owned by a large, evil company over an open source one.

The average sheep consumer only cares about convenience. Many industries are led by ''meh, good enough'' companies rather than the best.

Didn't you know? Google's motto is "Don't be evil."

Why, they're even more righteous and altruistic than Apple Corporation.

Your title is not correct:
BTC-e was at $730 ~9 days ago. The short-term and long-term trends are still up.  :)

So is this just MtGox finally losing it's last shred of credibility that is wreaking havoc on the market? Or is there something else going on.

The drop seems to be backed up by volume (highest since Christmas)
It is probably just mtgox falling back to bitstamp level?
