I'm not a huge TRON fan and supporter, and this topic is not about the technology, I just see that it may be a good time to invest in it now, so that's why I've created this thread in a Speculation section.

Along with their mainnet launch, TRON has announced burning of a huge amount of coins. This event is planned for June, 26.
And they will burn - dramatic drum roll - $50 millions worth coins!

Do you think that the price will go to the M-thing? Are you buying TRON now?

It is a small number when compared to TRON's market cap so do not expect any skyrocket in price. In this weak market, it may not even matter.

50 million is only a small part of the max supply which is billions. Dont expect that the price of trx will go up after they burned a small portion it. It could go higher or else it could even dipper.

50 million, big whoop.  Let's see............. there's a total of 100,000,000 tron.  50 million times 20 equals 1 billion so this 'huge' burn of 50 million is 1/20th of 1 percent, basically a rounding error.

Well they just burning a small part of their Billion coins so this is not huge but just to attract more investors to pour their investments and also the burning will increase the value slightly but anyway this burning is better than nothing because the lesser the supply is the more it become expensive to purchase.

But it wasnt the volume of trons coin is what they will burn instead its the amount in dollars so this wikl be great for someones looking for good investments in this dip market,and as we see trons doing they're best to earn and to help ,this is a vice versa scenario of benefits

I would buy eve a small amount for holding hopefully this will succeed

Another advertising move to attract more attention and stupid investors, who thinks that the price will jump and the tron is the best coin. Do not be fooled by this kind of machinations.

Will they buy 50 million TRX from Exchanges and burn it? 

Coin burning can have a direct effect on prices if they burn coins that circulating in the market, If they just burn the coins owned by the project then it only reduces the small amount of TRX's total supply and that only reduces the number of coins to be distributed in the future
I will not buy TRX just because they burn a small amount of supply.

there is a possibility that the price will skyrocket, but it could be otherwise. i do not buy it.

Dont expect so much raise in price man as its just little but yeah maybe 20-30% price increase might be expected

Ok, I see what you mean, but what about their mainnet launch? I think this is not "a machination", but a real product, a result of all the work previously done by the team, the goal, which is finally achived.
So they don't just burn to burn, or to create at least some hype around the project. I don't actually think that any project in top-10 needs extra hype.

As mentioned before, the coins they will burn is only a small portion of the total amount of TRX that is available.
However, I like TRON because there owner (Justin Son) knows how to play the market.

So currently the total marketcap of TRON is almost 3 Billion Dollars, and they plan to burn 50 million Dollars worth of coins. This means that they will burn less than 2% of their total number of coins, so based on this the value of the coin should increase with only 2% of it's current value , after the burning of tokens will be done.

tron will burn 1 billion tokens or a value of 50 million dollars. but I do not think this will make the tron skyrocket.

Tron is doing all the right things to make the price higher, buying bittorrent, forming new partnerships, and burning their coins. Have to give credit to their team, they certainly know what they're doing

No, i don't think TRON will skyrocket now. As it follows the Bitcoin. But TRON is a very good project.

Long-term investment is in TRON. Long will have to wait until the coin will grow. If you count on such a long-term investment, it is better to put money in the Bank at interest, and it will be more profitable. TRON is created for quick profit. It should be actively monitored and used.

This is just a drop in the OCean, that figure won't affect the marketcap, what people don't understand is that before things like this is likely going to affect the price but with so many good news in the space currently the price is not affected. I don't thing the price will go up after their mainnet release

The price will go up 30% the first day or two than level off by 20%.  I'm buying $5k today

Now the cryptocurrency market is in a downward trend, so I think that this event will not affect the price growth. The maximum that can happen is keeping the current price.

Time to buy was months ago, the only ones who would take advantage of this event are the early investors/bad holders, they'll hodl this shitcoin, wait for the pump (if there's actually a pump), and then dump on the newcomers FOMO buying right now.

"will the price skyrocket?" I don't think so. The price might go up, sure, but for it to skyrocket there would need to be a lot of demand for TRON which I don't think we'll see in the next couple of days, mainly because the current bearish sentiment doesn't encourage people to "invest" in cryptos.

really, there is burning tron in large quantities? I think it will have an effect on the price of the tron, but it seems the moment is not good time, because the current tron burning coincides with the decline in bitcoin prices, so it does not have too much effect on the tron value.

The price is decreasing a little bit right now. that means if the burning still not yet started. I will try to speculate a little increase and it's around 10% increase in a day. With this market and it would not give a lot of impact to the price level of tron. I guess you need to be carefully before try to invest in the tron.

Wait, isn't Tron an ERC-20 token? When someone brings up the topic about tron, I have one thing to say: Plagiarized whitepaper. I won't trust them with my money at all. That shit can go down way too easily. Hence I recommend people to stay away from it. You might get profits on few occasions, but so did bitcconnect. That shit went down, so will this. I can only tell you to be aware of it.

We have to start the platform today, so let's see how strong this coin is. As they say burning it was a prelude before a big fire or so it will fade out all in a month or two.

What Happened to the Transition to Main Net seems like nothing happened? Will TRONs price really skyrocket?

It was actually, but they have moved to their own mainnet on the same day when the coins/tokens were burned. I'm not sure about all of these technical details and whether they burned it when it was a token or when it already turned into a separate coin, so that is why I used a word "coin" in a post and a "token" in a subject. I didn't mean to confuse anyone, sorry about that, haha.

One day Tron will run out of ideas on how they will hype their own token. But whatever they do price is varying and riding to bitcoin, from 1k sats >>> 600 sats that's too low now.

And there is also another news about Tron's acceptance by pornhub, so what happened? just like what happened to verge, there's nothing happened.

I think that the mainnet launch is more important than "partnership" with Pornhub (I'm not sure whether they are working together or it was the initiative of Pornhub only). Though it can broaden the community and bring new fans, users, holders. But at the same time, why would any unloyal community care, if they also accept BTC, for example.

In that case, i'm not so sure we will see Tron moon anytime soon. Don't get me wrong the $50 million burn is a huge event and will probably impact the value of the coin one way or another, but bottom line is that shouldn't be enough reason for it to rise in value. Real value comes from being a real product that offers a real solution for real world problems.

It is not a huge amount of token tron is burning, it's only 1.52% of total cerculating supply i.e 1B infront of 65.74B total cerculating supply. Burning token is greedy and it will not affect the price of tron. If tron really want to support their their investors they should invest those token that will add value to the tron community. Even do some charity or arrange some community rewards program that will be nice.

this is the most I like digital currency that includes new but has a good price forecast for the next few years with now that is still cheap price TRON be a good alternative to invest because the price is still very cheap and have good predictions about price increases.

it depends how btc move, even last news tron has made a good partner, but! price are only moving alittle , im getting loss cause buying when news offuture contract viral, but after that badnews come and trx dumped hard lol

TRON has very few tokens to burn, compared to the total number of tokens issued. Look at the chart yourself, it has absolutely no effect on the price.

The only thing 'burning' here is our money just by holding this in a bear market.  Rofl.  :D

I had two chances to sell for a small profit but thought I'd go for a 'home run'.  Big mistake...  We're in a bear market.  It would have been good if it was last year tho.

If it is dumping now, I would certainly want to buy TRON but it still depends on how much it will go down to. But I dont see the coin affected that much with the drop of bitcoins price too.

Yea you are right. The price is still decreasing. The fall started at 5.26.2018 and still, Tron is moving in a downtrend channel. There is big support level at the 580-600. If BTC start recover, this level must keep trx

They are accepted now by Pornhub, isn't it a real world problem solution? Just kidding actually, but it's obvious that with the launch of their mainnet they're moving in the right direction to making their product strong and independent, hah. Though it's not a big event for the crypto community now, as far as I see, as so many projects are moving to their mainnets now. Mainnets season!
