Title: Games using cryptocurrencies? Post by: albertorm2 on June 24, 2018, 06:29:08 AM Do you know any game which actually uses cryptocurrency? I saw a lot of coins which promise this, but usually It ends up in being scams.
Games are for fun, but It would be more satisfying to have a valuable currency for games. Title: Re: Games using cryptocurrencies? Post by: JamescrypTrader on June 26, 2018, 11:17:50 AM This is really ridiculous. In recent time, this kind of scams number is going high. People with little knowledge are being cheated in these platform. And leaving the platform before having the real visibility.

Cryptokitties, nexium and i heard it has been listed on the steam store. I never heard any other existing platform. In my experience i'm only paying SDK games to tested the blockchain. Honestly to make the crypto will be used in the game looks so difficult because it can be considered as dapps platform. Post by: alinalovedoogie on June 26, 2018, 03:21:46 PM I heard few days ago that many developers trying to introduce cryptocurrency in games. But as far as I know that there is still no games which are using cryptocurrency. Title: Re: Games using cryptocurrencies? Post by: Kuga_ZA on June 26, 2018, 03:24:47 PM I know Steam at one stage was accepting BTC as payment for games. I actually bought quite a few games this way. A lot more convenient. But games that actually use a specific currency in game? Not that I've seen no.

Post by: Bttzed03 on June 26, 2018, 03:29:00 PM I have heard of some before but I am not sure if they still exist. I have seen some new blockchain-based gaming projects and are raising funds thru ICO's. It looks interesting as you can also mine while playing and use it to buy.
Title: Re: Games using cryptocurrencies? Post by: lahirusandanuwanggg on June 26, 2018, 03:29:30 PM Recently I have been participated in bounty campaign. Name of the that is Genbby. As I know that is a gaming coin. Therefore I think games are using crypto currencies.

Title: Re: Games using cryptocurrencies? Post by: xuv500 on June 26, 2018, 03:36:32 PM I think cashbetcoin accepts playing games with crypto and with their newly launched crypto currency coin called cashbetcoin or CBC. There are multiple games and casino can be played with their coin it seems and it is a real site and not a scam site. You can try in their site by just registering yourself, they have a telegram group as well for support anytime if you have any issues. Just try it.

But within this short span of time, it has earned huge popularity. As far as I know, there is nothing such news or gaming industry. But soon it will happen and be careful when investing or believing news.

Title: Re: Games using cryptocurrencies? Post by: mindrust on June 27, 2018, 08:15:44 AM We definitely need a MMO with Auction House which uses BTC for the default currency. If BTC is too costly, It may be Doge or some other shitcoin too, or the game dev can create its own shitcoin. 8)
I wouldn't put any effort into creating a coin from nothing though, the game itself matters more. Title: Re: Games using cryptocurrencies? Post by: slaman29 on June 27, 2018, 08:19:06 AM I like the idea of games using crypto, but multiplayer is difficult in any game online because of cheaters and robots. They always force you to buy things to go to a higher level, which I will never ever do for games unless the payment is for things like removing ads or donations.
But I suggest to go to playforcrypto website. There is a snake game, like on old Nokia phones, you can kill time there when you are not doing anything, like I do on toilet haha. Earn some alts. Used to have Gulden but 1337 is still good. Title: Re: Games using cryptocurrencies? But anyway, in case you're not. Let me try to understand your comment. You're saying we should post legitimate links to attract people to sites that might scam? I would never post a link to a place I know to be a scam. OP wanted help finding games using crypto, so I posted knowledge of the one site I do know that pays crypto for the games played there. Maybe this doesn't contribute to transactions (use), but, like faucets, it can contributed to adoption. I used to collect Gulden from that website. Did you know there are merchants accepting Gulden? I have seen also many cryptocurrency that is based in gaming. There is an ICO that was launched just months ago and they were successful. The ICO I am saying is Playkey. They are already listed in some exchanges including HitBTC and Playkey (PKT) is already listed in CoinMarketCap. The Playkey team is in constant work in implementing the usage of their token into their gaming platform. This is a great project IMHO. Title: Re: Games using cryptocurrencies? I saw a lot of crypto projects that were planned to work in the gaming sector, but many of these projects failed. I am not very interested in the field of play, but I am sure that there are honest and good projects on the market that work successfully in this area.Games are for fun, but It would be more satisfying to have a valuable currency for games. I saw a lot of coins which promise this, but usually It ends up in being scams. The most famous project which is a cryptocurrency and is also very closely related to games in Electroneum. Electroneum is a coin one can mine of one's mobile phone by playing games. When it started as an ICO people were really excited, but after it was released there were some issues with the game and people became less interested. However, I believe it is still possible to play and mine.Games are for fun, but It would be more satisfying to have a valuable currency for games. Another thing that comes to my mind is tons of casinos which accept payment in top coin or are even built on ethereum platform (they use smart contracts to prove they are scam-free), like Vdice. Title: Re: Games using cryptocurrencies? Post by: shiningstar on June 27, 2018, 02:45:11 PM I think there's only gambling site and other ponzi scheme that accept crypto right now, we've seen some ico about esport and gaming but so far there's nothing that has delivered product. You can expect game to accept crypto though as rmt usually kill the game, it's different if they use it as an alternative to buy the game or lootbox.

Title: Re: Games using cryptocurrencies? Post by: coinbergh on June 27, 2018, 08:09:05 PM Gaming industry is growing from day to day and cryptocurrency will be a payment option in games in the upcoming years, in my opinion.
There are so many competitive games in gaming area. Maybe someone will organize tournaments with cryptocurrency prizes. Mostly tokens for gambling are the successful one. I had one that I joined here and they are using it for their gambling website. The cool part is the unique game which is roulette. Forgot the name of the project though and I dont know if it is still running. |
