Man people need to calm down. The amount of panic that spreads like wildfire through here is unreal. Its like the sky is falling each time there is a little negative news

LOL! You were saying the same thing to me during the Silk Road crash. Bitcoin was trading at $85 then...

Don't worry, if you keep at it, given enough time, you will eventually be right.

Regarding the topic: Gox is ran by incompetent idiots. It took them this long to acknowledge a problem?

I'd rather have a hodl in front of me than a frontal lobhodomy.

after reviewing below analysis, I felt more assured now this is more likely technical glitch not insolvency issue, the guy is the core developer for Gox, load up your gun guys, buy at the grand dip:

When SR closed it virtually eliminated any liquidity in the market place. That drove the price up into a bubble. Hold if you like. I got out a long time ago as you know, because I dont believe in the concept. This is the coin I support, true honest money with the ability to change the world, unlike bitcoin. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XyWfUqEyIZc. The huge price rise shows bitcoin to be a failure not a success.

I was only ever involved for social change not personal gain.

I am truly starting to believe that they are only able to process withdrawals when they receive new deposits.   There is something very wrong over there, and the excuses are not adding up...
